- Sura: 39 - az-Zumar (The Groups) Ayat: 23
اللَّهُ نَزَّلَ أَحْسَنَ الْحَدِيثِ كِتَابًا مُتَشَابِهًا مَثَانِيَ تَقْشَعِرُّ مِنْهُ جُلُودُ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُمْ ثُمَّ تَلِينُ جُلُودُهُمْ وَقُلُوبُهُمْ إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ هُدَى اللَّهِ يَهْدِي بِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ هَادٍ (23
اللہ نے بہترین کلام اس کتاب کی شکل میں نازل کیا ہے جس کی آیتیں آپس میں ملتی جلتی ہیں اور بار بار دہرائی گئی ہیں کہ ان سے خوف خدا رکھنے والوں کے رونگٹے کھڑے ہوجاتے ہیں اس کے بعد ان کے جسم اور دل یاد خدا کے لئے نرم ہوجاتے ہیں یہی اللہ کی واقعی ہدایت ہے وہ جس کو چاہتا ہے عطا فرمادیتا ہے اور جس کو وہ گمراہی میں چھوڑ دے اس کا کوئی ہدایت کرنے والا نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah has revealed (from time to time) the most beautiful Message in the form of a Book, consistent with itself, (yet) repeating (its teaching in various aspects): the skins of those who fear their Lord tremble thereat; then their skins and their hearts do soften to the celebration of Allah's praises. Such is the guidance of Allah: He guides therewith whom He pleases, but such as Allah leaves to stray, can have none to guide.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah hath (now) revealed the fairest of statements, a Scripture consistent, (wherein promises of reward are) paired (with threats of punishment), whereat doth creep the flesh of those who fear their Lord, so that their flesh and their hearts soften to Allah's reminder. Such is Allah's guidance, wherewith He guideth whom He will. And him whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no guide.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah has revealed the best announcement, a book conformable in its various parts, repeating, whereat do shudder the skins of those who fear their Lord, then their skins and their hearts become pliant to the remembrance of Allah; this is Allah's guidance, He guides with it whom He pleases; and (as for) him whom Allah makes err, there is no guide for him.
- Sura: 40 - al-Ghaafir (The Forgiver) Ayat: 66
۞ قُلْ إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَمَّا جَاءَنِيَ الْبَيِّنَاتُ مِنْ رَبِّي وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ (66
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ مجھے اس بات سے منع کیا گیا ہے کہ میں ان کی عبادت کروں جنہیں تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر پرستش کے قابل بنائے ہوئے ہو جب کہ میرے پاس کِھلی ہوئی نشانیاں آچکی ہیں اور مجھے حکم دیا گیا ہے کہ میں رب العالمین کا اطاعت گزار بندہ رہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "I have been forbidden to invoke those whom ye invoke besides Allah,- seeing that the Clear Signs have come to me from my Lord; and I have been commanded to bow (in Islam) to the Lord of the Worlds."
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (O Muhammad): I am forbidden to worship those unto whom ye cry beside Allah since there have come unto me clear proofs from my Lord, and I am commanded to surrender to the Lord of the Worlds.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: I am forbidden to serve those whom you call upon besides Allah when clear arguments have come to me from my Lord, and I am commanded that I should submit to the Lord of the worlds.
- Sura: 41 - Fussilat (Explained in detail) Ayat: 37
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ ۚ لَا تَسْجُدُوا لِلشَّمْسِ وَلَا لِلْقَمَرِ وَاسْجُدُوا لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ إِيَّاهُ تَعْبُدُونَ (37
اور اسی خدا کی نشانیوں میں سے رات و دن اور آفتاب و ماہتاب ہیں لہٰذا آفتاب و ماہتاب کو سجدہ نہ کرو بلکہ اس خدا کو سجدہ کرو جس نے ان سب کو پیدا کیا ہے اگر واقعا اس کے عبادت کرنے والے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Among His Signs are the Night and the Day, and the Sun and the Moon. Do not prostrate to the sun and the moon, but prostrate to Allah, Who created them, if it is Him ye wish to serve.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His portents are the night and the day and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or the moon; but prostrate to Allah Who created them, if it is in truth Him Whom ye worship.
[ SHAKIR ] And among His signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon; do not prostrate to the sun nor to the moon; and prostrate to Allah Who created them, if Him it is that you serve.
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) Ayat: 56
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ (56
اور میں نے جنات اور انسانوں کو صرف اپنی عبادت کے لئے پیدا کیا ہے(
[YOUSAF ALI] I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me.
[ PICKTHAL ] I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me.
[ SHAKIR ] And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me.
