- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 223

تمہاری عورتیں تمہاری کھیتیاں ہیں لہٰذا اپنی کھیتی میں جہاں چاہو داخل ہو جاؤ اور اپنے واسطے پیشگی اعمال خدا کی بارگاہ میں بھیج دو اور اس سے ڈرتے رہو- یہ سمجھو کہ تمہیں اس سے ملاقات کرنا ہے اورصاحبانِ ایمان کو بشارت دے دو
[YOUSAF ALI] Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will; but do some good act for your souls beforehand; and fear Allah. And know that ye are to meet Him (in the Hereafter), and give (these) good tidings to those who believe.
[ PICKTHAL ] Your women are a tilth for you (to cultivate) so go to your tilth as ye will, and send (good deeds) before you for your souls, and fear Allah, and know that ye will (one day) meet Him. Give glad tidings to believers, (O Muhammad).
[ SHAKIR ] Your wives are a tilth for you, so go into your tilth when you like, and do good beforehand for yourselves, and be careful (of your duty) to Allah, and know that you will meet Him, and give good news to the believers.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 36
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (36
پاک و بے نیاز ہے وہ خدا جس نے تمام جوڑوں کو پیدا کیا ہے ان چیزوں میں سے جنہیں زمین اگاتی ہے اور ان کے نفوس میں سے اور ان چیزوں میں سے جن کا انہیں علم بھی نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge.
[ PICKTHAL ] Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not!
[ SHAKIR ] Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind and of what they do not know.
- Sura: 42 - ash-Shura (Consultation) Ayat: 11
فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا ۖ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ ۚ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ ۖ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ (11
وہ آسمانوں اور زمین کا پیدا کرنے والا ہے اس نے تمہارے نفوس میں سے بھی جوڑا بنایا ہے اور جانوروں میں سے بھی جوڑے بنائے ہیں وہ تم کو اسی جوڑے کے ذریعہ دنیا میں پھیلا رہا ہے اس کا جیسا کوئی نہیں ہے وہ سب کی سننے والا اور ہر چیز کا دیکھنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] (He is) the Creator of the heavens and the earth: He has made for you pairs from among yourselves, and pairs among cattle: by this means does He multiply you: there is nothing whatever like unto Him, and He is the One that hears and sees (all things).
[ PICKTHAL ] The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He hath made for you pairs of yourselves, and of the cattle also pairs, whereby He multiplieth you. Naught is as His likeness; and He is the Hearer, the Seer.
[ SHAKIR ] The Originator of the heavens and the earth; He made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of Him; and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) Ayat: 49
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ (49
اور ہر شے میں سے ہم نے جوڑا بنایا ہے کہ شاید تم نصیحت حاصل کرسکو
[YOUSAF ALI] And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction.
[ PICKTHAL ] And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful.
