- Sura: 4 - an-Nisaa' (The Women) Ayat: 97

جن لوگوں کو ملائکہ نے اس حال میں اٹھایا کہ وہ اپنے نفس پر ظلم کرنے والے تھے ان سے پوچھا کہ تم کس حال میں تھے- انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم زمین میں کمزور بنادئے گئے تھے. ملائکہ نے کہا کہ کیا زمینِ خدا وسیع نہیں تھی کہ تم ہجرت کرجاتے- ان لوگوں کا ٹھکانا جہّنم ہے اور وہ بدترین منزل ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] When angels take the souls of those who die in sin against their souls, they say: "In what (plight) Were ye?" They reply: "Weak and oppressed Were we in the earth." They say: "Was not the earth of Allah spacious enough for you to move yourselves away (From evil)?" Such men will find their abode in Hell,- What an evil refuge! -
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! as for those whom the angels take (in death) while they wrong themselves, (the angels) will ask: In what were ye engaged? They will say: We were oppressed in the land. (The angels) will say: Was not Allah's earth spacious that ye could have migrated therein? As for such, their habitation will be hell, an evil journey's end;
[ SHAKIR ] Surely (as for) those whom the angels cause to die while they are unjust to their souls, they shall say: In what state were you? They shall say: We were weak in the earth. They shall say: Was not Allah's earth spacious, so that you should have migrated therein? So these it is whose abode is hell, and it is an evil resort
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 93
وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرَىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ قَالَ أُوحِيَ إِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ إِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ قَالَ سَأُنْزِلُ مِثْلَ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ۗ وَلَوْ تَرَىٰ إِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ فِي غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ بَاسِطُو أَيْدِيهِمْ أَخْرِجُوا أَنْفُسَكُمُ ۖ الْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللَّهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنْتُمْ عَنْ آيَاتِهِ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (93
اور اس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہوگا جو خدا پر جھوٹا الزام لگائے یا اس کے نازل کئے بغیر یہ کہہ دے کہ مجھ پر وحی نازل ہوئی ہے اور جو یہ کہہ دے کہ میں بھی خدا کی طرح باتیں نازل کرسکتا ہوں اور اگر آپ دیکھتے کہ ظالم موت کی سختیوں میں ہیں اور ملائکہ اپنے ہاتھ بڑھائے ہوئے آواز دے رہے ہیں کہ اب اپنی جان نکال دو کہ آج تمہیں تمہارے جھوٹے بیانات اور الزامات پر رسوائی کا عذاب دیا جائے گا کہ تم آیات خدا سے انکار اور استکبار کررہے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, "I have received inspiration," when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, "I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed"? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),"Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!"
[ PICKTHAL ] Who is guilty of more wrong than he who forgeth a lie against Allah, or saith: I am inspired, when he is not inspired in aught; and who saith: I will reveal the like of that which Allah hath revealed? If thou couldst see, when the wrong-doers reach the pangs of death and the angels stretch their hands out (saying): Deliver up your souls. This day ye are awarded doom of degradation for that ye spake concerning Allah other than the truth, and used to scorn His portents.
[ SHAKIR ] And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah, or says: It has been revealed to me; while nothing has been revealed to him, and he who says: I can reveal the like of what Allah has revealed? and if you had seen when the unjust shall be in the agonies of death and the angels shall spread forth their hands: Give up your souls; today shall you be recompensed with an ignominious chastisement because you spoke against Allah other than the truth and (because) you showed pride against His communications.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 28
الَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ ۖ فَأَلْقَوُا السَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ مِنْ سُوءٍ ۚ بَلَىٰ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (28
جنہیں ملائکہ اس عالم میں اٹھاتے ہیں کہ وہ اپنے نفس کے ظالم ہوتے ہیں تو اس وقت اطاعت کی پیشکش کرتے ہیں کہ ہم تو کوئی برائی نہیں کرتے تھے. بیشک خدا خوب جانتا ہے کہ تم کیا کیا کرتے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] "(Namely) those whose lives the angels take in a state of wrong-doing to their own souls." Then would they offer submission (with the pretence), "We did no evil (knowingly)." (The angels will reply), "Nay, but verily Allah knoweth all that ye did;
[ PICKTHAL ] Whom the angels cause to die while they are wronging themselves. Then will they make full submission (saying): We used not to do any wrong. Nay! Surely Allah is Knower of what ye used to do.
[ SHAKIR ] Those whom the angels cause to die while they are unjust to themselves. Then would they offer submission: We used not to do any evil. Aye! surely Allah knows what you did.
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) From Ayat: 49 to 52
وَقَالُوا أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا (49
اور یہ کہتے ہیں کہ جب ہم ہڈی اور خاک ہوجائیں گے تو کیا دوبارہ نئی مخلوق بناکر اٹھائے جائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] They say: "What! when we are reduced to bones and dust, should we really be raised up (to be) a new creation?"
[ PICKTHAL ] And they say: When we are bones and fragments, shall we forsooth, be raised up as a new creation?
[ SHAKIR ] And they say: What! when we shall have become bones and decayed particles, shall we then certainly be raised up, being a new creation?
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) From Ayat: 49 to 52
۞ قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا (50
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم پتھر یا لوہا بن جاؤ
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "(Nay!) be ye stones or iron,
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Be ye stones or iron
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Become stones or iron,
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) From Ayat: 49 to 52
أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا ۖ قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ ۖ قُلْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا (51
یا تمہارے خیال میں جو اس سے بڑی مخلوق ہوسکتی ہو وہ بن جاؤ پس عنقریب یہ لوگ کہیں گے کہ ہمیں کون دوبارہ واپس لاسکتا ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ جس نے تمہیں پہلی مرتبہ پیدا کیا ہے پھر یہ لوگ استہزائ میں سر ہلائیں گے اور کہیں گے کہ یہ سب کب ہوگا تو کہہ دیجئے کہ شاید قریب ہی ہوجائے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Or created matter which, in your minds, is hardest (to be raised up),- (Yet shall ye be raised up)!" then will they say: "Who will cause us to return?" Say: "He who created you first!" Then will they wag their heads towards thee, and say, "When will that be?" Say, "May be it will be quite soon!
[ PICKTHAL ] Or some created thing that is yet greater in your thoughts! Then they will say: Who shall bring us back (to life). Say: He Who created you at the first. Then will they shake their heads at thee, and say: When will it be? Say: It will perhaps be soon;
[ SHAKIR ] Or some other creature of those which are too hard (to receive life) in your minds! But they will say: Who will return us? Say: Who created you at first. Still they will shake their heads at you and say: When will it be? Say: Maybe it has drawn nigh.
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) From Ayat: 49 to 52
يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا (52
جس دن وہ تمہیں بلائے گا اور تم سب اس کی تعریف کرتے ہوئے لبیک کہو گے اور خیال کرو گے کہ بہت تھوڑی دیر دنیا میں رہے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] "It will be on a Day when He will call you, and ye will answer (His call) with (words of) His praise, and ye will think that ye tarried but a little while!"
[ PICKTHAL ] A day when He will call you and ye will answer with His praise, and ye will think that ye have tarried but a little while.
[ SHAKIR ] On the day when He will call you forth, then shall you obey Him, giving Him praise, and you will think that you tarried but a little (while).
- Sura: 19 - Maryam (Mary) From Ayat: 66 to 67
وَيَقُولُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَإِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّا (66
اور انسان یہ کہتا ہے کہ کیا جب ہم مرجائیں گے تو دوبارہ زندہ کرکے نکالے جائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Man says: "What! When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?"
[ PICKTHAL ] And man saith: When I am dead, shall I forsooth be brought forth alive?
[ SHAKIR ] And says man: What! when I am dead shall I truly be brought forth alive?
- Sura: 19 - Maryam (Mary) From Ayat: 66 to 67
أَوَلَا يَذْكُرُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْئًا (67
کیا یہ اس بات کو یاد نہیں کرتا ہے کہ پہلے ہم نے ہی اسے پیدا کیا ہے جب یہ کچھ نہیں تھا
[YOUSAF ALI] But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing?
[ PICKTHAL ] Doth not man remember that We created him before, when he was naught?
[ SHAKIR ] Does not man remember that We created him before, when he was nothing?
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 5
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِنَ الْبَعْثِ فَإِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ مُضْغَةٍ مُخَلَّقَةٍ وَغَيْرِ مُخَلَّقَةٍ لِنُبَيِّنَ لَكُمْ ۚ وَنُقِرُّ فِي الْأَرْحَامِ مَا نَشَاءُ إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ثُمَّ نُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلًا ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوا أَشُدَّكُمْ ۖ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُتَوَفَّىٰ وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰ أَرْذَلِ الْعُمُرِ لِكَيْلَا يَعْلَمَ مِنْ بَعْدِ عِلْمٍ شَيْئًا ۚ وَتَرَى الْأَرْضَ هَامِدَةً فَإِذَا أَنْزَلْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ اهْتَزَّتْ وَرَبَتْ وَأَنْبَتَتْ مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ (5
اے لوگو اگر تمہیں دوبارہ اٹھائے جانے میں شبہ ہے تو یہ سمجھ لو کہ ہم نے ہی تمہیں پہلے خاک سے بنایا ہے پھر نطفہ سے پھر جمے ہوئے خون سے پھر گوشت کے لوتھڑے سے جس میں سے کوئی مکمل ہوجاتا ہے اور کوئی ناقص ہی رہ جاتا ہے تاکہ ہم تمہارے اوپر اپنی قدرت کو واضح کردیں ہم جس چیز کو جب تک چاہتے ہیں رحم میں رکھتے ہیں اس کے بعد تم کو بچہ بناکر باہر لے آتے ہیں پھر زندہ رکھتے ہیں تاکہ جوانی کی عمر تک پہنچ جاؤ اور پھر تم میں سے بعض کو اٹھالیا جاتا ہے اور بعض کو پست ترین عمر تک باقی رکھا جاتا ہے تاکہ علم کے بعد پھر کچھ جاننے کے قابل نہ رہ جائے اور تم زمین کو مردہ دیکھتے ہو پھر جب ہم پانی برسادیتے ہیں تو وہ لہلہانے لگتی ہے اور ابھرنے لگتی ہے اور ہر طرح کی خوبصورت چیز اگانے لگتی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] O mankind! if ye have a doubt about the Resurrection, (consider) that We created you out of dust, then out of sperm, then out of a leech-like clot, then out of a morsel of flesh, partly formed and partly unformed, in order that We may manifest (our power) to you; and We cause whom We will to rest in the wombs for an appointed term, then do We bring you out as babes, then (foster you) that ye may reach your age of full strength; and some of you are called to die, and some are sent back to the feeblest old age, so that they know nothing after having known (much), and (further), thou seest the earth barren and lifeless, but when We pour down rain on it, it is stirred (to life), it swells, and it puts forth every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs).
[ PICKTHAL ] O mankind! if ye are in doubt concerning the Resurrection, then lo! We have created you from dust, then from a drop of seed, then from a clot, then from a little lump of flesh shapely and shapeless, that We may make (it) clear for you. And We cause what We will to remain in the wombs for an appointed time, and afterward We bring you forth as infants, then (give you growth) that ye attain your full strength. And among you there is he who dieth (young), and among you there is he who is brought back to the most abject time of life, so that, after knowledge, he knoweth naught. And thou (Muhammad) seest the earth barren, but when We send down water thereon, it doth thrill and swell and put forth every lovely kind (of growth).
[ SHAKIR ] O people! if you are in doubt about the raising, then surely We created you from dust, then from a small seed, then from a clot, then from a lump of flesh, complete in make and incomplete, that We may make clear to you; and We cause what We please to stay in the wombs till an appointed time, then We bring you forth as babies, then that you may attain your maturity; and of you is he who is caused to die, and of you is he who is brought back to the worst part of life, so that after having knowledge he does not know anything; and you see the earth sterile land, but when We send down on it the water, it stirs and swells and brings forth of every kind a beautiful herbage.
- Sura: 32 - as-Sajda (The Prostration) From Ayat: 10 to 11
وَقَالُوا أَإِذَا ضَلَلْنَا فِي الْأَرْضِ أَإِنَّا لَفِي خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّهِمْ كَافِرُونَ (10
اور یہ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ہم زمین میں گم ہوگئے تو کیا نئی خلقت میں پھر ظاہر کئے جائیں گے - بات یہ ہے کہ یہ اپنے پروردگار کی ملاقات کے منکر ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And they say: "What! when we lie, hidden and lost, in the earth, shall we indeed be in a Creation renewed? Nay, they deny the Meeting with their Lord.
[ PICKTHAL ] And they say: When we are lost in the earth, how can we then be re-created? Nay but they are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord.
[ SHAKIR ] And they say: What! when we have become lost in the earth, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? Nay! they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord.
- Sura: 32 - as-Sajda (The Prostration) From Ayat: 10 to 11
۞ قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ (11
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم کو وہ ملک الموت زندگی کی آخری منزل تک پہنچائے گا جو تم پر تعینات کیا گیا ہے اس کے بعد تم سب پروردگار کی بارگاہ میں پیش کئے جاؤ گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "The Angel of Death, put in charge of you, will (duly) take your souls: then shall ye be brought back to your Lord."
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: The angel of death, who hath charge concerning you, will gather you, and afterward unto your Lord ye will be returned.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: The angel of death who is given charge of you shall cause you to die, then to your Lord you shall be brought back.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 77 to 79
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُبِينٌ (77
تو کیا انسان نے یہ نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے اسے نطفہ سے پیدا کیا ہے اور وہ یکبارگی ہمارا کھلا ہوا دشمن ہوگیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Doth not man see that it is We Who created him from sperm? yet behold! he (stands forth) as an open adversary!
[ PICKTHAL ] Hath not man seen that We have created him from a drop of seed? Yet lo! he is an open opponent.
[ SHAKIR ] Does not man see that We have created him from the small seed? Then lo! he is an open disputant.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 77 to 79
وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًا وَنَسِيَ خَلْقَهُ ۖ قَالَ مَنْ يُحْيِي الْعِظَامَ وَهِيَ رَمِيمٌ (78
اور ہمارے لئے مثل بیان کرتا ہے اور اپنی خلقت کو بھول گیا ہے کہتا ہے کہ ان بوسیدہ ہڈیوں کو کون زندہ کرسکتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?"
[ PICKTHAL ] And he hath coined for Us a similitude, and hath forgotten the fact of his creation, saying: Who will revive these bones when they have rotted away?
[ SHAKIR ] And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten?
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 77 to 79
قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا الَّذِي أَنْشَأَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ (79
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ جس نے پہلی مرتبہ پیدا کیا ہے وہی زندہ بھی کرے گا اور وہ ہر مخلوق کا بہتر جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say, "He will give them life Who created them for the first time! for He is Well-versed in every kind of creation!-
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: He will revive them Who produced them at the first, for He is Knower of every creation,
[ SHAKIR ] Say: He will give life to them Who brought them into existence at first, and He is cognizant of all creation
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) Ayat: 11
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَمْ مَنْ خَلَقْنَا ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ لَازِبٍ (11
اب ذرا ان سے دریافت کرو کہ یہ زیادہ دشوار گزار مخلوق ہیں یا جن کو ہم پیدا کرچکے ہیں ہم نے ان سب کو ایک لسدار مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay!
[ PICKTHAL ] Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay.
[ SHAKIR ] Then ask them whether they are stronger in creation or those (others) whom We have created. Surely We created them of firm clay.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 16 to 20
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَامًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ (16
کیا جب ہم مرجائیں گے اور مٹی اور ہڈی ہوجائیں گے تو کیا دوبارہ اٹھائیں جائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] "What! when we die, and become dust and bones, shall we (then) be raised up (again)
[ PICKTHAL ] When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised (again)?
[ SHAKIR ] What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then certainly be raised,
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 16 to 20
أَوَآبَاؤُنَا الْأَوَّلُونَ (17
اور کیا ہمارے اگلے باپ دادا بھی زندہ کئے جائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] "And also our fathers of old?"
[ PICKTHAL ] And our forefathers?
[ SHAKIR ] Or our fathers of yore?
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 16 to 20
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنْتُمْ دَاخِرُونَ (18
کہہ دیجئے کہ بیشک اور تم ذلیل بھی ہوگے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say thou: "Yea, and ye shall then be humiliated (on account of your evil)."
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (O Muhammad): Ye, in truth; and ye will be brought low.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Aye! and you shall be abject.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 16 to 20
فَإِنَّمَا هِيَ زَجْرَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ (19
یہ قیامت تو صرف ایک للکار ہوگی جس کے بعد سب دیکھنے لگیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see!
[ PICKTHAL ] There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold,
[ SHAKIR ] So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 16 to 20
وَقَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ (20
اور کہیں گے کہ ہائے افسوس یہ تو قیامت کا دن ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!"
[ PICKTHAL ] And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment.
[ SHAKIR ] And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital.
- Sura: 40 - al-Ghaafir (The Forgiver) Ayat: 57
لَخَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ خَلْقِ النَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (57
بیشک زمین و آسمان کا پیدا کردینا لوگوں کے پیدا کردینے سے کہیں زیادہ بڑا کام ہے لیکن لوگوں کی اکثریت یہ بھی نہیں جانتی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Assuredly the creation of the heavens and the earth is a greater (matter) than the creation of men: Yet most men understand not.
[ PICKTHAL ] Assuredly the creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of mankind; but most of mankind know not.
[ SHAKIR ] Certainly the creation of the heavens and the earth is greater than the creation of the men, but most people do not know
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') From Ayat: 3 to 4
أَإِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا ۖ ذَٰلِكَ رَجْعٌ بَعِيدٌ (3
کیا جب ہم مرکر خاک ہوجائیں گے تو دوبارہ واپس ہوں گے یہ بڑی بعید بات ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)."
[ PICKTHAL ] When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return!
[ SHAKIR ] What! when we are dead and have become dust? That is afar (from probable) return.
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') From Ayat: 3 to 4
قَدْ عَلِمْنَا مَا تَنْقُصُ الْأَرْضُ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَعِنْدَنَا كِتَابٌ حَفِيظٌ (4
ہم جانتے ہیں کہ زمین ان کے جسموں میں سے کس قدر کم کردیتی ہے اور ہمارے پاس ایک محفوظ کتاب موجود ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We already know how much of them the earth takes away: With Us is a record guarding (the full account).
[ PICKTHAL ] We know that which the earth taketh of them, and with Us is a recording Book.
[ SHAKIR ] We know indeed what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a writing that preserves.
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') Ayat: 15
أَفَعَيِينَا بِالْخَلْقِ الْأَوَّلِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي لَبْسٍ مِنْ خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ (15
تو کیا ہم پہلی خلقت سے عاجز تھے ہرگز نہیں - تو پھر حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ لوگ نئی خلقت کی طرف سے شبہ میں پڑے ہوئے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation?
[ PICKTHAL ] Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a new creation.
[ SHAKIR ] Were We then fatigued with the first creation? Yet are they in doubt with regard to a new creation.
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
فَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ (88
پھر اگر مرنے والا مقربین میں سے ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah,
[ PICKTHAL ] Thus if he is of those brought nigh,
[ SHAKIR ] Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah),
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
فَرَوْحٌ وَرَيْحَانٌ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍ (89
"تو اس کے لئے آسائش, خوشبو دار پھول اور نعمتوں کے باغات ہیں"
[YOUSAF ALI] (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight.
[ SHAKIR ] Then happiness and bounty and a garden of bliss.
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ (90
اور اگر اصحاب یمین میں سے ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand,
[ PICKTHAL ] And if he is of those on the right hand,
[ SHAKIR ] And if he is one of those on the right hand,
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
فَسَلَامٌ لَكَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْيَمِينِ (91
تو اصحاب یمین کی طرف سے تمہارے لئے سلام ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand.
[ SHAKIR ] Then peace to you from those on the right hand.
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
وَأَمَّا إِنْ كَانَ مِنَ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ الضَّالِّينَ (92
اور اگر جھٹلانے والوں اور گمراہوں میں سے ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong,
[ PICKTHAL ] But if he is of the rejecters, the erring,
[ SHAKIR ] And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones,
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
فَنُزُلٌ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ (93
تو کھولتے ہوئے پانی کی مہمانی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then the welcome will be boiling water
[ SHAKIR ] He shall have an entertainment of boiling water,
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ (94
اور جہنّم میں جھونک دینے کی سزا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And burning in Hell-Fire.
[ PICKTHAL ] And roasting at hell-fire.
[ SHAKIR ] And burning in hell.
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 88 to 95
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ الْيَقِينِ (95
یہی وہ بات ہے جو بالکل برحق اور یقینی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! this is certain truth.
[ SHAKIR ] Most surely this is a certain truth.
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 36 to 40
أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ سُدًى (36
کیا انسان کا خیال یہ ہے کہ اسے اسی طرح آزاد چھوڑ دیا جائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?
[ PICKTHAL ] Thinketh man that he is to be left aimless?
[ SHAKIR ] Does man think that he is to be left to wander without an aim?
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 36 to 40
أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِيٍّ يُمْنَىٰ (37
کیا وہ اس منی کا قطرہ نہیں تھا جسے رحم میں ڈالا جاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)?
[ PICKTHAL ] Was he not a drop of fluid which gushed forth?
[ SHAKIR ] Was he not a small seed in the seminal elements,
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 36 to 40
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ (38
پھر علقہ بنا پھر اسے خلق کرکے برابر کیا
[YOUSAF ALI] Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then he became a clot; then (Allah) shaped and fashioned
[ SHAKIR ] Then he was a clot of blood, so He created (him) then made (him) perfect.
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 36 to 40
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ (39
پھر اس سے عورت اور مرد کا جوڑا تیار کیا
[YOUSAF ALI] And of him He made two sexes, male and female.
[ PICKTHAL ] And made of him a pair, the male and female.
[ SHAKIR ] Then He made of him two kinds, the male and the female.
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 36 to 40
أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ (40
کیا وہ خدا اس بات پر قادر نہیں ہے کہ مفِدوں کو دوبارہ زندہ کرسکے
[YOUSAF ALI] Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead?
[ PICKTHAL ] Is not He (Who doeth so) Able to bring the dead to life?
[ SHAKIR ] Is not He able to give life to the dead?
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 5 to 8
فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ (5
پھر انسان دیکھے کہ اسے کس چیز سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Now let man but think from what he is created!
[ PICKTHAL ] So let man consider from what he is created.
[ SHAKIR ] So let man consider of what he is created:
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 5 to 8
خُلِقَ مِنْ مَاءٍ دَافِقٍ (6
وہ ایک اُچھلتے ہوئے پانی سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He is created from a drop emitted-
[ PICKTHAL ] He is created from a gushing fluid
[ SHAKIR ] He is created of water pouring forth,
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 5 to 8
يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ (7
جو پیٹھ اور سینہ کی ہڈیوں کے درمیان سے نکلتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:
[ PICKTHAL ] That issued from between the loins and ribs.
[ SHAKIR ] Coming from between the back and the ribs.
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 5 to 8
إِنَّهُ عَلَىٰ رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ (8
یقینا وہ خدا انسان کے دوبارہ پیدا کرنے پر بھی قادر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life)
[ SHAKIR ] Most surely He is able to return him (to life).
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
أَفَلَا يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَى الْإِبِلِ كَيْفَ خُلِقَتْ (17
کیا یہ لوگ اونٹ کی طرف نہیں دیکھتے ہیں کہ اسے کس طرح پیدا کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?-
[ PICKTHAL ] Will they not regard the camels, how they are created?
[ SHAKIR ] Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created?
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
وَإِلَى السَّمَاءِ كَيْفَ رُفِعَتْ (18
اور آسمان کو کس طرح بلند کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-
[ PICKTHAL ] And the heaven, how it is raised?
[ SHAKIR ] And the heaven, how it is reared aloft,
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ (19
اور پہاڑ کو کس طرح نصب کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
[ PICKTHAL ] And the hills, how they are set up?
[ SHAKIR ] And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed,
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ (20
اور زمین کو کس طرح بچھایا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And at the Earth, how it is spread out?
[ PICKTHAL ] And the earth, how it is spread?
[ SHAKIR ] And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse?
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنْتَ مُذَكِّرٌ (21
لہذا تم نصیحت کرتے رہو کہ تم صرف نصیحت کرنے والے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
[ PICKTHAL ] Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer,
[ SHAKIR ] Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder.
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
لَسْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِمُصَيْطِرٍ (22
تم ان پر مسلط اور ان کے ذمہ دار نہیں ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs.
[ PICKTHAL ] Thou art not at all a warder over them.
[ SHAKIR ] You are not a watcher over them;
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
إِلَّا مَنْ تَوَلَّىٰ وَكَفَرَ (23
مگر جو منھ پھیر لے اور کافر ہوجائے
[YOUSAF ALI] But if any turn away and reject Allah,-
[ PICKTHAL ] But whoso is averse and disbelieveth,
[ SHAKIR ] But whoever turns back and disbelieves,
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
فَيُعَذِّبُهُ اللَّهُ الْعَذَابَ الْأَكْبَرَ (24
تو خدا اسے بہت بڑے عذاب میں مبتلا کرے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment,
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah will punish him with direst punishment.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement.
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
إِنَّ إِلَيْنَا إِيَابَهُمْ (25
پھر ہماری ہی طرف ان سب کی بازگشت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] For to Us will be their return;
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! unto Us is their return
[ SHAKIR ] Surely to Us is their turning back,
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 17 to 26
ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا حِسَابَهُمْ (26
اور ہمارے ہی ذمہ ان سب کا حساب ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then it will be for Us to call them to account.
[ PICKTHAL ] And Ours their reckoning.
[ SHAKIR ] Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account.
