- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 22

اس پروردگار نے تمہارے لئے زمین کا فرش اور آسمان کا شامیانہ بنایا ہے اور پھر آسمان سے پانی برسا کر تمہاری روزی کے لئے زمین سے پھل نکالے ہیں لہذا اس کے لئے جان بوجھ کر کسی کو ہمسر اور مِثل نہ بناؤ
[YOUSAF ALI] Who has made the earth your couch, and the heavens your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith Fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the truth).
[ PICKTHAL ] Who hath appointed the earth a resting-place for you, and the sky a canopy; and causeth water to pour down from the sky, thereby producing fruits as food for you. And do not set up rivals to Allah when ye know (better).
[ SHAKIR ] Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and (Who) sends down rain from the cloud then brings forth with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.
- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 26

پیغمبرؐ آپ کہئے کہ خدایا تو صاحبِ اقتدار ہے جس کو چاہتا ہے اقتدار دیتا ہے اور جس سے چاہتا ہے سلب کرلیتا ہے- جس کو چاہتا ہے عزّت دیتا ہے اور جس کو چاہتا ہے ذلیل کرتا ہے- سارا خیر تیرے ہاتھ میں ہے اور تو ہی ہر شے پر قادر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "O Allah! Lord of Power (And Rule), Thou givest power to whom Thou pleasest, and Thou strippest off power from whom Thou pleasest: Thou enduest with honour whom Thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low whom Thou pleasest: In Thy hand is all good. Verily, over all things Thou hast power.
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: O Allah! Owner of Sovereignty! Thou givest sovereignty unto whom Thou wilt, and Thou withdrawest sovereignty from whom Thou wilt. Thou exaltest whom Thou wilt, and Thou abasest whom Thou wilt. In Thy hand is the good. Lo! Thou art Able to do all things.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! Thou givest the kingdom to whomsoever Thou pleasest and takest away the kingdom from whomsoever Thou pleasest, and Thou exaltest whom Thou pleasest and abasest whom Thou pleasest in Thine hand is the good; surety, Thou hast power over all things.
- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 51
إِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۗ هَٰذَا صِرَاطٌ مُسْتَقِيمٌ (51
اللہ میرا اور تمہارا دونوں کا رب ہے لہذا اس کی عبادت کرو کہ یہی صراظُ مستقیم ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "'It is Allah Who is my Lord and your Lord; then worship Him. This is a Way that is straight.'"
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path.
- Sura: 5 - al-Maaida (The Table) Ayat: 72

یقینا وہ لوگ کافر ہیں جن کا کہنا ہے کہ اللہ ہی مسیح علیہ السّلام بن مریم ہیں جبکہ خود مسیح کا کہنا ہے کہ اے بنی اسرائیل اپنے اور میرے پروردگار کی عبادت کرو- جو کوئی اس کا شریک قرار دے گا اس پر خدا نے جنّت حرام کر دی ہے اور اس کا انجام جہّنم ہے اور ظالموں کا کوئی مددگار نہ ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] They do blaspheme who say: "Allah is Christ the son of Mary." But said Christ: "O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Whoever joins other gods with Allah,- Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.
[ PICKTHAL ] They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! Allah is the Messiah, son of Mary. The Messiah (himself) said: O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Lo! whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. His abode is the Fire. For evil-doers there will be no helpers.
[ SHAKIR ] Certainly they disbelieve who say: Surely Allah, He is the Messiah, son of Marium; and the Messiah said: O Children of Israel! serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 59
۞ وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۚ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (59
اور اس کے پاس غیب کے خزانے ہیں جنہیں اس کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے اور وہ خشک و تر سب کا جاننے والا ہے -کوئی پتہ بھی گرتا ہے تو اسے اس کا علم ہے زمین کی تاریکیوں میں کوئی دانہ یا کوئی خشک و تر ایسا نہیں ہے جو کتاب همبین کے اندر محفوظ نہ ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).
[ PICKTHAL ] And with Him are the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.
[ SHAKIR ] And with Him are the keys of the unseen treasures-- none knows them but He; and He knows what is in the land and the sea, and there falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything green nor dry but (it is all) in a clear book.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 62
ثُمَّ رُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلَاهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۚ أَلَا لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ الْحَاسِبِينَ (62
پھر سب اپنے مولائے برحق پروردگار کی طرف پلٹا دئیے جاتے ہیں .... آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ فیصلہ کا حق صرف اسی کو ہے اور وہ بہت جلدی حساب کرنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then are men returned unto Allah, their protector, the (only) reality: Is not His the command? and He is the swiftest in taking account.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then are they restored unto Allah, their Lord, the Just. Surely His is the judgment. And He is the most swift of reckoners.
[ SHAKIR ] Then are they sent back to Allah, their Master, the True one; now surely His is the judgment and He is swiftest in taking account.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80

اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ابراہیم علیہ السّلام نے اپنے مربّی باپ آزر سے کہا کہ کیا تو ان بتوں کو خدا بنائے ہوئے ہے۔ میں تو تجھے اور تیری قوم کو کُھلی ہوئی گمراہی میں دیکھ رہا ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] Lo! Abraham said to his father Azar: "Takest thou idols for gods? For I see thee and thy people in manifest error."
[ PICKTHAL ] (Remember) when Abraham said unto his father Azar: Takest thou idols for gods? Lo! I see thee and thy folk in error manifest.
[ SHAKIR ] And when Ibrahim said to his sire, Azar: Do you take idols for gods? Surely I see you and your people in manifest error.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80

اور اسی طرح ہم ابراہیم علیہ السّلام کو آسمان و زمین کے اختیارات دکھلاتے ہیں اور اس لئے کہ وہ یقین کرنے والوں میں شامل ہوجائیں
[YOUSAF ALI] So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude.
[ PICKTHAL ] Thus did We show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth that he might be of those possessing certainty:
[ SHAKIR ] And thus did We show Ibrahim the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and that he might be of those who are sure.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80
فَلَمَّا جَنَّ عَلَيْهِ اللَّيْلُ رَأَىٰ كَوْكَبًا ۖ قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَا أُحِبُّ الْآفِلِينَ (76
پس جب ان پر رات کی تاریکی چھائی اور انہوں نے ستارہ کو دیکھا تو کہا کہ کیا یہ میرا رب ہے . پھر جب وہ غروب ہوگیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں ڈوب جانے والوں کو دوست نہیں رکھتا
[YOUSAF ALI] When the night covered him over, He saw a star: He said: "This is my Lord." But when it set, He said: "I love not those that set."
[ PICKTHAL ] When the night grew dark upon him he beheld a star. He said: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: I love not things that set.
[ SHAKIR ] So when the night over-shadowed him, he saw a star; said he: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: I do not love the setting ones.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80
فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَمَرَ بَازِغًا قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَ قَالَ لَئِنْ لَمْ يَهْدِنِي رَبِّي لَأَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الضَّالِّينَ (77
پھر جب چاند کو چمکتا دیکھا تو کہا کہ پھر یہ رب ہوگا .پھر جب وہ بھی ڈوب گیا تو کہا کہ اگر پروردگار ہی ہدایت نہ دے گا تو میں گمراہوں میں ہوجاؤں گا
[YOUSAF ALI] When he saw the moon rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord." But when the moon set, He said: "unless my Lord guide me, I shall surely be among those who go astray."
[ PICKTHAL ] And when he saw the moon uprising, he exclaimed: This is my Lord. But when it set, he said: Unless my Lord guide me, I surely shall become one of the folk who are astray.
[ SHAKIR ] Then when he saw the moon rising, he said: Is this my Lord? So when it set, he said: If my Lord had not guided me I should certainly be of the erring people.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80
فَلَمَّا رَأَى الشَّمْسَ بَازِغَةً قَالَ هَٰذَا رَبِّي هَٰذَا أَكْبَرُ ۖ فَلَمَّا أَفَلَتْ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَ (78
پھر جب چمکتے ہوئے سورج کو دیکھا تو کہا کہ پھر یہ خدا ہوگا کہ یہ زیادہ بڑا ہے لیکن جب وہ بھی غروب ہوگیا تو کہا کہ اے قوم میں تمہارے شِرک سے بری اور بیزار ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] When he saw the sun rising in splendour, he said: "This is my Lord; this is the greatest (of all)." But when the sun set, he said: "O my people! I am indeed free from your (guilt) of giving partners to Allah.
[ PICKTHAL ] And when he saw the sun uprising, he cried: This is my Lord! This is greater! And when it set he exclaimed: O my people! Lo! I am free from all that ye associate (with Him).
[ SHAKIR ] Then when he saw the sun rising, he said: Is this my Lord? Is this the greatest? So when it set, he said: O my people! surely I am clear of what you set up (with Allah).
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80
إِنِّي وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ لِلَّذِي فَطَرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا ۖ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ (79
میرا رخ تمام تر اس خدا کی طرف ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اور میں باطل سے کنارہ کش ہوں اور مشرکوں میں سے نہیں ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] "For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah."
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! I have turned my face toward Him Who created the heavens and the earth, as one by nature upright, and I am not of the idolaters.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely I have turned myself, being upright, wholly to Him Who originated the heavens and the earth, and I am not of the polytheists.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 74 to 80
وَحَاجَّهُ قَوْمُهُ ۚ قَالَ أَتُحَاجُّونِّي فِي اللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانِ ۚ وَلَا أَخَافُ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ بِهِ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ رَبِّي شَيْئًا ۗ وَسِعَ رَبِّي كُلَّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا ۗ أَفَلَا تَتَذَكَّرُونَ (80
اور جب ان کی قوم نے ان سے کٹ حجتی کی تو کہا کہ کیا مجھ سے خدا کے بارے میں بحث کررہے ہو جس نے مجھے ہدایت دے دی ہے اور میں تمہارے شریک کردہ خداؤں سے بالکل نہیں ڈرتا ہوں .مگر یہ کہ خود میرا خدا کوئی بات چاہے کہ اس کا علم ہر شے سے وسیع تر ہے کیا یہ بات تمہاری سمجھ میں نہیں آتی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] His people disputed with him. He said: "(Come) ye to dispute with me, about Allah, when He (Himself) hath guided me? I fear not (the beings) ye associate with Allah: Unless my Lord willeth, (nothing can happen). My Lord comprehendeth in His knowledge all things. Will ye not (yourselves) be admonished?
[ PICKTHAL ] His people argued with him. He said: Dispute ye with me concerning Allah when He hath guided me? I fear not at all that which ye set up beside Him unless my Lord willeth aught. My Lord includeth all things in His knowledge. Will ye not then remember?
[ SHAKIR ] And his people disputed with him. He said: Do you dispute with me respecting Allah? And He has guided me indeed; and I do not fear in any way those that you set up with Him, unless my Lord pleases; my Lord comprehends all things in His knowledge; will you not then mind?
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 95 to 98
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَىٰ ۖ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ (95
خدا ہی وہ ہے جو گٹھلی اور دانے کا شگافتہ کرنے والا ہے -وہ لَردہ سے زندہ اور زندہ سے لَردہ کو نکالتا ہے. یہی تمہارا خدا ہے تو تم کدھر بہکے جارہے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] It is Allah Who causeth the seed-grain and the date-stone to split and sprout. He causeth the living to issue from the dead, and He is the one to cause the dead to issue from the living. That is Allah: then how are ye deluded away from the truth?
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! Allah (it is) Who splitteth the grain of corn and the date-stone (for sprouting). He bringeth forth the living from the dead, and is the bringer-forth of the dead from the living. Such is Allah. How then are ye perverted?
[ SHAKIR ] Surely Allah causes the grain and the stone to germinate; He brings forth the living from the dead and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living; that is Allah! how are you then turned away.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 95 to 98
فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (96
وہ نور سحر کا شگافتہ کرنے والا ہے اور اس نے رات کو وجہ سکون اور شمس و قمر کو ذریعہ حساب بنایا ہے . یہ اس صاحب هعزّت و حکمت کی مقرر کردہ تقدیر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He it is that cleaveth the day-break (from the dark): He makes the night for rest and tranquillity, and the sun and moon for the reckoning (of time): Such is the judgment and ordering of (Him), the Exalted in Power, the Omniscient.
[ PICKTHAL ] He is the Cleaver of the Daybreak, and He hath appointed the night for stillness, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
[ SHAKIR ] He causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning; this is an arrangement of the Mighty, the Knowing.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 95 to 98
وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (97
وہی وہ ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے ستارے مقرر کئے ہیں کہ ان کے ذریعہ خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں راستہ معلوم کرسکو -ہم نے تمام نشانیوں کو اس قوم کے لئے تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کیا ہے جو جاننے والی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who hath set for you the stars that ye may guide your course by them amid the darkness of the land and the sea. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who has made the stars for you that you might follow the right way thereby in the darkness of the land and the sea; truly We have made plain the communications for a people who know.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 95 to 98
وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنْشَأَكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَةٍ فَمُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمُسْتَوْدَعٌ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَفْقَهُونَ (98
وہی وہ ہے جس نے تم سب کو ایک نفس سے پیدا کیا ہے پھر سب کے لئے قرار گاہ اور منزلِ ودیعت مقرر کی ہے. ہم نے صاحبانِ فہم کے لئے تمام نشانیوں کو تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who hath produced you from a single person: here is a place of sojourn and a place of departure: We detail Our signs for people who understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who hath produced you from a single being, and (hath given you) a habitation and a repository. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have understanding.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who has brought you into being from a single soul, then there is (for you) a resting-place and a depository; indeed We have made plain the communications for a people who understand.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 101
بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ صَاحِبَةٌ ۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (101
وہ زمین و آسمان کا ایجاد کرنے والا ہے -اس کے اولاد کس طرح ہوسکتی ہے اس کی تو کوئی بیوی بھی نہیں ہے اور وہ ہر شے کا خالق ہے اور ہرچیز کا جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] The Originator of the heavens and the earth! How can He have a child, when there is for Him no consort, when He created all things and is Aware of all things?
[ SHAKIR ] Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth! How could He have a son when He has no consort, and He (Himself) created everything, and He is the Knower of all things.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 101 to 103
بَدِيعُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يَكُونُ لَهُ وَلَدٌ وَلَمْ تَكُنْ لَهُ صَاحِبَةٌ ۖ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (101
وہ زمین و آسمان کا ایجاد کرنے والا ہے -اس کے اولاد کس طرح ہوسکتی ہے اس کی تو کوئی بیوی بھی نہیں ہے اور وہ ہر شے کا خالق ہے اور ہرچیز کا جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: How can He have a son when He hath no consort? He created all things, and He hath full knowledge of all things.

- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 101 to 103
ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ ۖ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۖ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَكِيلٌ (102
وہی اللہ تمہارا پروردگار ہے جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں -وہ ہر شے کا خالق ہے اسی کی عبادت کرو .وہی ہر شے کا نگہبان ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] That is Allah, your Lord! there is no god but He, the Creator of all things: then worship ye Him: and He hath power to dispose of all affairs.
[ PICKTHAL ] Such is Allah, your Lord. There is no Allah save Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. And He taketh care of all things.
[ SHAKIR ] That is Allah, your Lord, there is no god but He; the Creator of all things, therefore serve Him, and He has charge of all things.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 101 to 103
لَا تُدْرِكُهُ الْأَبْصَارُ وَهُوَ يُدْرِكُ الْأَبْصَارَ ۖ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ (103
نگاہیں اسے پا نہیں سکتیں اور وہ نگاہوں کا برابر ادراک رکھتا ہے کہ وہ لطیف بھی ہے اور خبیر بھی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision: He is above all comprehension, yet is acquainted with all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] Vision comprehendeth Him not, but He comprehendeth (all) vision. He is the Subtile, the Aware.
[ SHAKIR ] Vision comprehends Him not, and He comprehends (all) vision; and He is the Knower of subtleties, the Aware.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 21 to 23
وَإِذَا أَذَقْنَا النَّاسَ رَحْمَةً مِنْ بَعْدِ ضَرَّاءَ مَسَّتْهُمْ إِذَا لَهُمْ مَكْرٌ فِي آيَاتِنَا ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ أَسْرَعُ مَكْرًا ۚ إِنَّ رُسُلَنَا يَكْتُبُونَ مَا تَمْكُرُونَ (21
اور جب تکلیف پہنچنے کے بعد ہم نے لوگوں کو ذرا رحمت کا مزہ چکھادیا تو فورا ہماری آیتوں میں مّکاری کرنے لگے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ خدا تم سے تیز تر تدبیریں کرنے والا ہے اور ہمارے نمائندے تمہارے مکر کو برابر لکھ رہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] When We make mankind taste of some mercy after adversity hath touched them, behold! they take to plotting against Our Signs! Say: "Swifter to plan is Allah!" Verily, Our messengers record all the plots that ye make!
[ PICKTHAL ] And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy after some adversity which had afflicted them, behold! they have some plot against Our revelations. Say: Allah is more swift in plotting. Lo! Our messengers write down that which ye plot.
[ SHAKIR ] And when We make people taste of mercy after an affliction touches them, lo ! they devise plans against Our communication. Say: Allah is quicker to plan; surely Our messengers write down what you plan.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 21 to 23
هُوَ الَّذِي يُسَيِّرُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا كُنْتُمْ فِي الْفُلْكِ وَجَرَيْنَ بِهِمْ بِرِيحٍ طَيِّبَةٍ وَفَرِحُوا بِهَا جَاءَتْهَا رِيحٌ عَاصِفٌ وَجَاءَهُمُ الْمَوْجُ مِنْ كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ أُحِيطَ بِهِمْ ۙ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ لَئِنْ أَنْجَيْتَنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ (22
وہ خدا وہ ہے جو تمہیں خشکی اور سمندر میں سیر کراتا ہے یہاں تک کہ جب تم کشتی میں تھے اور پاکیزہ ہوائیں چلیں اور سارے مسافر خوش ہوگئے تو اچانک ایک تیز ہوا چل گئی اور موجوں نے ہر طرف سے گھیرے میں لے لیا اور یہ خیال پیدا ہوگیا کہ چارں طرف سے کَھرگئے ہیں تو دین خالص کے ساتھ اللہ سے دعا کرنے لگے کہ اگر اس مصیبت سے نجات مل گئی تو ہم یقینا شکر گزاروں میں ہوجائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] He it is Who enableth you to traverse through land and sea; so that ye even board ships;- they sail with them with a favourable wind, and they rejoice thereat; then comes a stormy wind and the waves come to them from all sides, and they think they are being overwhelmed: they cry unto Allah, sincerely offering (their) duty unto Him saying, "If thou dost deliver us from this, we shall truly show our gratitude!"
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who maketh you to go on the land and the sea till, when ye are in the ships and they sail with them with a fair breeze and they are glad therein, a storm-wind reacheth them and the wave cometh unto them from every side and they deem that they are overwhelmed therein; (then) they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only: If Thou deliver us from this, we truly will be of the thankful.
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who makes you travel by land and sea; until when you are in the ships, and they sail on with them in a pleasant breeze, and they rejoice, a violent wind overtakes them and the billows surge in on them from all sides, and they become certain that they are encompassed about, they pray to Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience: If Thou dost deliver us from this, we will most certainly be of the grateful ones.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 21 to 23
فَلَمَّا أَنْجَاهُمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ۗ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلَىٰ أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۖ مَتَاعَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (23
اس کے بعد جب اس نے نجات دے دی تو زمین میں ناحق ظلم کرنے لگے -انسانو !یاد رکھو تمہارا ظلم تمہارے ہی خلاف ہوگا یہ صرف چند روزہ زندگی کا مزہ ہے اس کے بعد تم سب کی بازگشت ہماری ہی طرف ہوگی اور پھر ہم تمہیں بتائیں گے کہ تم دنیا میں کیا کررہے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] But when he delivereth them, behold! they transgress insolently through the earth in defiance of right! O mankind! your insolence is against your own souls,- an enjoyment of the life of the present: in the end, to Us is your return, and We shall show you the truth of all that ye did.
[ PICKTHAL ] Yet when He hath delivered them, behold! they rebel in the earth wrongfully. O mankind! Your rebellion is only against yourselves. (Ye have) enjoyment of the life of the world; then unto Us is your return and We shall proclaim unto you what ye used to do.
[ SHAKIR ] But when He delivers them, lo! they are unjustly rebellious in the earth. O men! your rebellion is against your own souls-- provision (only) of this world's life-- then to Us shall be your return, so We will inform you of what you did.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 28 to 32
وَيَوْمَ نَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ نَقُولُ لِلَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا مَكَانَكُمْ أَنْتُمْ وَشُرَكَاؤُكُمْ ۚ فَزَيَّلْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ شُرَكَاؤُهُمْ مَا كُنْتُمْ إِيَّانَا تَعْبُدُونَ (28
جس دن ہم سب کو اکٹھا جمع کریں گے اور اس کے بعد شرک کرنے والوں سے کہیں گے کہ تم اور تمہارے شرکائ سب اپنی اپنی جگہ ٹھہرو اور پھر ہم ان کے درمیان جدائی ڈال دیں گے اور ان کے شرکائ کہیں گے کہ تم ہماری عبادت تو نہیں کرتے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] One day shall We gather them all together. Then shall We say to those who joined gods (with Us): "To your place! ye and those ye joined as 'partners' We shall separate them, and their "Partners" shall say: "It was not us that ye worshipped!
[ PICKTHAL ] On the day when We gather them all together, then We say unto those who ascribed partners (unto Us): Stand back, ye and your (pretended) partners (of Allah)! And We separate them, the one from the other, and their (pretended) partners say: It was not us ye worshipped.
[ SHAKIR ] And on the day when We will gather them all together, then We will say to those who associated others (with Allah): Keep where you are, you and your associates; then We shall separate them widely one from another and their associates would say: It was not us that you served:
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 28 to 32
فَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ إِنْ كُنَّا عَنْ عِبَادَتِكُمْ لَغَافِلِينَ (29
اب خدا ہمارے اور تمہارے درمیان گواہی کے لئے کافی ہے کہ ہم تمہاری عبادت سے بالکل غافل تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Enough is Allah for a witness between us and you: we certainly knew nothing of your worship of us!"
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah sufficeth as a witness between us and you, that we were unaware of your worship.
[ SHAKIR ] Therefore Allah is sufficient as a witness between us and you that we were quite unaware of your serving (us).
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 28 to 32
هُنَالِكَ تَبْلُو كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَا أَسْلَفَتْ ۚ وَرُدُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ مَوْلَاهُمُ الْحَقِّ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ (30
اس وقت ہر شخص اپنے گزشتہ اعمال کا امتحان کرے گا اور سب مولائے برحق خداوند تعالیٰ کی بارگاہ میں پلٹا دئیے جائیں گے اور جو کچھ افترا کر رہے تھے وہ سب بھٹک کر گم ہو جائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] There will every soul prove (the fruits of) the deeds it sent before: they will be brought back to Allah their rightful Lord, and their invented falsehoods will leave them in the lurch.
[ PICKTHAL ] There doth every soul experience that which it did aforetime, and they are returned unto Allah, their rightful Lord, and that which they used to invent hath failed them.
[ SHAKIR ] There shall every soul become acquainted with what it sent before, and they shall be brought back to Allah, their true Patron, and what they devised shall escape from them.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 28 to 32
قُلْ مَنْ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَمَّنْ يَمْلِكُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَمَنْ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَمَنْ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ اللَّهُ ۚ فَقُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (31
پیغمبر ذرا ان سے پوچھئے کہ تمہیں زمین و آسمان سے کون رزق دیتا ہے اور کون تمہاری سماعت و بصارت کا مالک ہے اور کون لَردہ سے زندہ اور زندہ سے لَردہ کو نکالتا ہے اور کون سارے امور کی تدبیرکرتا ہے تو یہ سب یہی کہیں گے کہ اللہ !تو آپ کہئے کہ پھر اس سے کیوں نہیں ڈرتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and Who directeth the course? They will say: Allah. Then say: Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him)?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Or Who controls the hearing and the sight? And Who brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living? And Who regulates the affairs? Then they will say: Allah. Say then: Will you not then guard (against evil)?
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 28 to 32
فَذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَاذَا بَعْدَ الْحَقِّ إِلَّا الضَّلَالُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ (32
وہی اللہ تمہارا برحق پالنے والا ہے اور حق کے بعد ضلالت کے سوا کچھ نہیں ہے تو تم کس طرح لے جائے جارہے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Such is Allah, your real Cherisher and Sustainer: apart from truth, what (remains) but error? How then are ye turned away?
[ PICKTHAL ] Such then is Allah, your rightful Lord. After the Truth what is there saving error? How then are ye turned away!
[ SHAKIR ] This then is Allah, your true Lord; and what is there after the truth but error; how are you then turned back?
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 36
وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ أَكْثَرُهُمْ إِلَّا ظَنًّا ۚ إِنَّ الظَّنَّ لَا يُغْنِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ شَيْئًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا يَفْعَلُونَ (36
اور ان کی اکثریت تو صرف خیالات کا اتباع کرتی ہے جب کہ گمان حق کے بارے میں کوئی فائدہ نہیں پہنچاسکتا بیشک اللہ ان کے اعمال سے خوب واقف ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no avail against truth. Verily Allah is well aware of all that they do.
[ PICKTHAL ] Most of them follow not but conjecture. Assuredly conjecture can by no means take the place of truth. Lo! Allah is Aware of what they do.
[ SHAKIR ] And most of them do not follow (anything) but conjecture; surely conjecture will not avail aught against the truth; surely Allah is cognizant of what they do.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 61
وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُو مِنْهُ مِنْ قُرْآنٍ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْ رَبِّكَ مِنْ مِثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَا أَصْغَرَ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (61
اور پیغمبر آپ کسی حال میں رہیں اور قرآن کے کسی حصہ کی تلاوت کریں اور اے لوگوں تم کوئی عمل کرو ہم تم سب کے گواہ ہوتے ہیں جب بھی کوئی عمل کرتے ہو اور تمہارے پروردگار سے زمین و آسمان کا کوئی ذرّہ دور نہیں ہے اور کوئی شے ذرّہ سے بڑی یا چھوٹی ایسی نہیں ہے جسے ہم نے اپنی کھلی کتاب میں جمع نہ کردیا ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.
[ PICKTHAL ] And thou (Muhammad) art not occupied with any business and thou recitest not a Lecture from this (Scripture), and ye (mankind) perform no act, but We are Witness of you when ye are engaged therein. And not an atom's weight in the earth or in the sky escapeth your Lord, nor what is less than that or greater than that, but it is (written) in a clear Book.
[ SHAKIR ] And you are not (engaged) in any affair, nor do you recite concerning it any portion of the Quran, nor do you do any work but We are witnesses over you when you enter into it, and there does not lie concealed from your Lord the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven, nor any thing less than that nor greater, but it is in a clear book.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 66
أَلَا إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ (66
آگاہ ہوجاؤ کہ اللہ ہی کے لئے زمین و آسمان کی ساری مخلوقات اور کائنات ہے اور جو لوگ خدا کو چھوڑ کر دوسرے شریکوں کو پکارتے ہیں وہ ان کا بھی اتباع نہیں کرتے -یہ صرف اپنے خیالات کا اتباع کرتے ہیں اور یہ صرف اندازوں پر زندگی گزار رہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! is it not unto Allah that belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth? Those who follow aught instead of Allah follow not (His) partners. They follow only a conjecture, and they do but guess.
[ SHAKIR ] Now, surely, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah's; and they do not (really) follow any associates, who call on others besides Allah; they do not follow (anything) but conjectures, and they only lie.
- Sura: 11 - Hud (Hud) Ayat: 109
فَلَا تَكُ فِي مِرْيَةٍ مِمَّا يَعْبُدُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ ۚ مَا يَعْبُدُونَ إِلَّا كَمَا يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۚ وَإِنَّا لَمُوَفُّوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ غَيْرَ مَنْقُوصٍ (109
لہذا خدا کے علاوہ جس کی بھی یہ پرستش کرتے ہیں اس کی طرف سے آپ کسی شبہ میں نہ پڑیں یہ اسی طرح پرستش کررہے ہیں جس طرح ان کے باپ دادا کررہے تھے اور ہم انہیں پورا پورا حّصہ بغیر کسی کمی کے دیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement.
[ PICKTHAL ] So be not thou in doubt concerning that which these (folk) worship. They worship only as their fathers worshipped aforetime. Lo! we shall pay them their whole due unabated.
[ SHAKIR ] Therefore be not in doubt as to what these worship; they do not worship but as their fathers worshipped before; and most surely We will pay them back in full their portion undiminished.
- Sura: 12 - Yusuf (Joseph) Ayat: 40
مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلَّا أَسْمَاءً سَمَّيْتُمُوهَا أَنْتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمْ مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ ۚ إِنِ الْحُكْمُ إِلَّا لِلَّهِ ۚ أَمَرَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (40
تم اس خدا کو چھوڑ کر صرف ان ناموں کی پرستش کرتے ہو جنہیں تم نے خود رکھ لیا ہے یا تمہارے آبائ و اجداد نے -اللہ نے ان کے بارے میں کوئی دلیل نازل نہیں کی ہے جب کہ حکم کرنے کا حق صرف خدا کو ہے اور اسی نے حکم دیا ہے کہ اس کے علاوہ کسی کی عبادت نہ کی جائے کہ یہی مستحکم اور سیدھا دین ہے لیکن اکثر لوگ اس بات کو نہیں جانتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] "If not Him, ye worship nothing but names which ye have named,- ye and your fathers,- for which Allah hath sent down no authority: the command is for none but Allah: He hath commanded that ye worship none but Him: that is the right religion, but most men understand not...
[ PICKTHAL ] Those whom ye worship beside Him are but names which ye have named, ye and your fathers. Allah hath revealed no sanction for them. The decision rests with Allah only, Who hath commanded you that ye worship none save Him. This is the right religion, but most men know not.
[ SHAKIR ] You do not serve besides Him but names which you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has not sent down any authority for them; judgment is only Allah's; He has commanded that you shall not serve aught but Him; this is the right religion but most people do not know:
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 16
قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلْ أَفَاتَّخَذْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ أَوْلِيَاءَ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ نَفْعًا وَلَا ضَرًّا ۚ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ أَمْ هَلْ تَسْتَوِي الظُّلُمَاتُ وَالنُّورُ ۗ أَمْ جَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ شُرَكَاءَ خَلَقُوا كَخَلْقِهِ فَتَشَابَهَ الْخَلْقُ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ قُلِ اللَّهُ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ (16
پیغمبر کہہ دیجئے کہ بتاؤ کہ زمین و آسمان کا پروردگار کون ہے اور بتادیجئے کہ اللہ ہی ہے اور کہہ دیجئے کہ تم لوگوں نے اس کو چھوڑ کر ایسے سرپرست اختیار کئے ہیں جو خود اپنے نفع و نقصان کے مالک نہیں ہیں اور کہئے کہ کیا اندھے اور بینا ایک جیسے ہوسکتے ہیں یا نورو ظلمت برابر ہوسکتے ہیں یا ان لوگوں نے اللہ کے لئے ایسے شریک بنائے ہیں جنہوں نے اسی کی طرح کی کائنات خلق کی ہے اور ان پر خلقت مشتبہ ہوگئی ہے. کہہ دیجئے کہ اللہ ہی ہر شے کا خالق ہے اور وہی یکتا اور سب پر غالب ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible."
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (O Muhammad): Who is Lord of the heavens and the earth? Say: Allah. Say: Take ye then (others) beside Him for protectors, which, even for themselves, have neither benefit nor hurt? Say: Is the blind man equal to the seer, or is darkness equal to light? Or assign they unto Allah partners who created the like of His creation so that the creation (which they made and His creation) seemed alike to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Almighty.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is the Lord of the heavens and the earth?-- Say: Allah. Say: Do you take then besides Him guardians who do not control any profit or harm for themselves? Say: Are the blind and the seeing alike? Or can the darkness and the light be equal? Or have they set up with Allah associates who have created creation like His, so that what is created became confused to them? Say: Allah is the Creator of all things, and He is the One, the Supreme.
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 41
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا ۚ وَاللَّهُ يَحْكُمُ لَا مُعَقِّبَ لِحُكْمِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ (41
کیا ان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم کس طرح زمین کی طرف آکر اس کو اطراف سے کم کردیتے ہیں اور اللہ ہی حکم دینے والا ہے کوئی اس کے حکم کا ٹالنے والا نہیں ہے اور وہ بہت تیز حساب کرنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? (Where) Allah commands, there is none to put back His Command: and He is swift in calling to account.
[ PICKTHAL ] See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? (When) Allah doometh there is none that can postpone His doom, and He is swift at reckoning.
[ SHAKIR ] Do they not see that We are bringing destruction upon the land by curtailing it of its sides? And Allah pronounces a doom-- there is no repeller of His decree, and He is swift to take account.

خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۚ تَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (3
اسی خدا نے زمین و آسمان کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے اور وہ ان کے شریکوں سے بہت بلند و بالاتر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He has created the heavens and the earth for just ends: Far is He above having the partners they ascribe to Him!
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. High be He Exalted above all that they associate (with Him).
[ SHAKIR ] He created the heavens and the earth with the truth, highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌ مُبِينٌ (4
اس نے انسان کو ایک قطرہ نجس سے پیدا کیا ہے مگر پھر بھی وہ کّھلم کھلّا جھگڑا کرنے والا ہوگیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He has created man from a sperm-drop; and behold this same (man) becomes an open disputer!
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created man from a drop of fluid, yet behold! he is an open opponent.
[ SHAKIR ] He created man from a small seed and lo! he is an open contender.

وَالْأَنْعَامَ خَلَقَهَا ۗ لَكُمْ فِيهَا دِفْءٌ وَمَنَافِعُ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ (5
اور اسی نے چوپایوں کو بھی پیدا کیا ہے جن میں تمہارے لئے گرم لباس اور دیگر منافع کا سامان ہے اور بعض کو تو تم کھاتے بھی ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] And cattle He has created for you (men): from them ye derive warmth, and numerous benefits, and of their (meat) ye eat.
[ PICKTHAL ] And the cattle hath He created, whence ye have warm clothing and uses, and whereof ye eat;
[ SHAKIR ] And He created the cattle for you; you have in them warm clothing and (many) advantages, and of them do you eat.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا جَمَالٌ حِينَ تُرِيحُونَ وَحِينَ تَسْرَحُونَ (6
اور تمہارے لئے ان ہی جانوروں میں سے زینت کا سامان ہے جب تم شام کو انہیں واپس لاتے ہو اور صبح کو چراگاہ کی طرف لے جاتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] And ye have a sense of pride and beauty in them as ye drive them home in the evening, and as ye lead them forth to pasture in the morning.
[ PICKTHAL ] And wherein is beauty for you, when ye bring them home, and when ye take them out to pasture.
[ SHAKIR ] And there is beauty in them for you when you drive them back (to home), and when you send them forth (to pasture).
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
وَتَحْمِلُ أَثْقَالَكُمْ إِلَىٰ بَلَدٍ لَمْ تَكُونُوا بَالِغِيهِ إِلَّا بِشِقِّ الْأَنْفُسِ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكُمْ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ (7
اور یہ حیوانات تمہارے بوجھ کو اٹھا کر ان شہروں تک لے جاتے ہیں جہاں تک تم جان جونکھوں میں ڈالے بغیرنہیں پہنچ سکتے تھے بیشک تمہارا پروردگار بڑا شفیق اور مہربان ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful,
[ PICKTHAL ] And they bear your loads for you unto a land ye could not reach save with great trouble to yourselves. Lo! your Lord is Full of Pity, Merciful.
[ SHAKIR ] And they carry your heavy loads to regions which you could not reach but with distress of the souls; most surely your Lord is Compassionate, Merciful.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
وَالْخَيْلَ وَالْبِغَالَ وَالْحَمِيرَ لِتَرْكَبُوهَا وَزِينَةً ۚ وَيَخْلُقُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ (8
اور اس نے گھوڑے خچر اور گدھے کو پیدا کیا تاکہ اس پر سواری کرو اور اسے زینت بھی قرار دو اور وہ ایسی چیزوں کو بھی پیدا کرتا ہے جن کا تمہیں علم بھی نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge.
[ PICKTHAL ] And horses and mules and asses (hath He created) that ye may ride them, and for ornament. And He createth that which ye know not.
[ SHAKIR ] And (He made) horses and mules and asses that you might ride upon them and as an ornament; and He creates what you do not know.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
وَعَلَى اللَّهِ قَصْدُ السَّبِيلِ وَمِنْهَا جَائِرٌ ۚ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ (9
اور درمیانی راستہ کی ہدایت خدا کی اپنی ذمہ داری ہے اور بعض راستے کج بھی ہوتے ہیں اور وہ چاہتا تو تم سب کو زبردستی راہ راست پر لے آتا
[YOUSAF ALI] And unto Allah leads straight the Way, but there are ways that turn aside: if Allah had willed, He could have guided all of you.
[ PICKTHAL ] And Allah's is the direction of the way, and some (roads) go not straight. And had He willed He would have led you all aright.
[ SHAKIR ] And upon Allah it rests to show the right way, and there are some deviating (ways); and if He please He would certainly guide you all aright.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً ۖ لَكُمْ مِنْهُ شَرَابٌ وَمِنْهُ شَجَرٌ فِيهِ تُسِيمُونَ (10
وہ وہی خدا ہے جس نے آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا ہے جس کا ایک حصّہ پینے والا ہے اور ایک حصّے سے درخت پیدا ہوتے ہیں جن سے تم جانوروں کو چراتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He who sends down rain from the sky: from it ye drink, and out of it (grows) the vegetation on which ye feed your cattle.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who sendeth down water from the sky, whence ye have drink, and whence are trees on which ye send your beasts to pasture.
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who sends down water from the cloud for you; it gives drink, and by it (grow) the trees upon which you pasture.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
يُنْبِتُ لَكُمْ بِهِ الزَّرْعَ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالنَّخِيلَ وَالْأَعْنَابَ وَمِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (11
"وہ تمہارے لئے زراعت,زیتون,خرمے,انگور اور تمام پھل اسی پانی سے پیدا کرتا ہے - اس امر میں بھی صاحبانِ فکر کے لئے اس کی قدرت کی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں"
[YOUSAF ALI] With it He produces for you corn, olives, date-palms, grapes and every kind of fruit: verily in this is a sign for those who give thought.
[ PICKTHAL ] Therewith He causeth crops to grow for you, and the olive and the date-palm and grapes and all kinds of fruit. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] He causes to grow for you thereby herbage, and the olives, and the palm trees, and the grapes, and of all the fruits; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 3 to 12
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ وَالنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَاتٌ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (12
اور اسی نے تمہارے رات دن اور آفتاب و ماہتاب سب کو مسخر کردیا ہے اور ستارے بھی اسی کے حکم کے تابع ہیں بیشک اس میں بھی صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے قدرت کی بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder;
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 36
وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ هَدَى اللَّهُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ حَقَّتْ عَلَيْهِ الضَّلَالَةُ ۚ فَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ (36
اوریقینا ہم نے ہر امّت میں ایک رسول بھیجا ہے کہ تم لوگ اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور طاغوت سے اجتناب کرو پھر ان میں بعض کو خدا نے ہدایت دے دی اور بعض پر گمراہی ثابت ہوگئی تو اب تم لوگ روئے زمین میں سیر کرو اور دیکھو کہ تکذیب کرنے والوں کا انجام کیا ہوتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth).
[ PICKTHAL ] And verily We have raised in every nation a messenger, (proclaiming): Serve Allah and shun false gods. Then some of them (there were) whom Allah guided, and some of them (there were) upon whom error had just hold. Do but travel in the land and see the nature of the consequence for the deniers!
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We raised in every nation a messenger saying: Serve Allah and shun the Shaitan. So there were some of them whom Allah guided and there were others against whom error was due; therefore travel in the land, then see what was the end of the rejecters.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 49 to 50
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (49
اور اللہ ہی کے لئے آسمان کی تمام چیزیں اور زمین کے تمام چلنے والے اور ملائکہ سجدہ ریز ہیں اور کوئی استکبار کرنے والا نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord).
[ PICKTHAL ] And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud.
[ SHAKIR ] And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 49 to 50
يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩ (50
یہ سب اپنے پروردگار کی برتری اور عظمت سے خوفزدہ ہیں اور اسی کے امر کے مطابق کام کررہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] They all revere their Lord, high above them, and they do all that they are commanded.
[ PICKTHAL ] They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are bidden.
[ SHAKIR ] They fear their Lord above them and do what they are commanded.
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) Ayat: 46
وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا (46
اور ان کے دلوں پر پردے ڈال دیتے ہیں کہ کچھ سمجھ نہ سکیں اور ان کے کانوں کو بہرہ بنادیتے ہیں اور جب تم قرآن میں اپنے پروردگار کا تنہا ذکر کرتے ہو تو یہ الٹے پاؤ ںمتنفر ہوکر بھاگ جاتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth).
[ PICKTHAL ] And We place upon their hearts veils lest they should understand it, and in their ears a deafness; and when thou makest mention of thy Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn their backs in aversion.
[ SHAKIR ] And We have placed coverings on their hearts and a heaviness in their ears lest they understand it, and when you mention your Lord alone in the Quran they turn their backs in aversion.
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) Ayat: 67
وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الضُّرُّ فِي الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَنْ تَدْعُونَ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ ۖ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاكُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ أَعْرَضْتُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ كَفُورًا (67
اور جب دریا میں تمہیں کوئی تکلیف پہنچی تو خدا کے علاوہ سب غائب ہوگئے جنہیں تم پکار رہے تھے اور پھر جب خدا نے تمہیں بچا کر خشکی تک پہنچا دیا تو تم پھر کنارہ کش ہوگئے اور انسان تو بڑا ناشکرا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] When distress seizes you at sea, those that ye call upon - besides Himself - leave you in the lurch! but when He brings you back safe to land, ye turn away (from Him). Most ungrateful is man!
[ PICKTHAL ] And when harm toucheth you upon the sea, all unto whom ye cry (for succour) fail save Him (alone), but when He bringeth you safe to land, ye turn away, for man was ever thankless.
[ SHAKIR ] And when distress afflicts you in the sea, away go those whom you call on except He; but when He brings you safe to the land, you turn aside; and man is ever ungrateful.
- Sura: 20 - Taa-haa (Taa-haa) Ayat: 14
إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي (14
میں اللہ ہوں میرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے میری عبادت کرو اور میری یاد کے لئے نماز قائم کرو
[YOUSAF ALI] "Verily, I am Allah: There is no god but I: So serve thou Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance:
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 4
قَالَ رَبِّي يَعْلَمُ الْقَوْلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ (4
تو پیغمبر نے جواب دیا کہ میرا پروردگار آسمان و زمین کی تمام باتوں کو جانتا ہے وہ خوب سننے والا اور جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "My Lord knoweth (every) word (spoken) in the heavens and on earth: He is the One that heareth and knoweth (all things)."
[ PICKTHAL ] He saith: My Lord knoweth what is spoken in the heaven and the earth. He is the Hearer, the Knower.
[ SHAKIR ] He said: My Lord knows what is spoken in the heaven and the earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 25
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِ (25
اور ہم نے آپ سے پہلے کوئی رسول نہیں بھیجا مگر یہ کہ اس کی طرف یہی وحی کرتے رہے کہ میرے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے لہذا سب لوگ میری ہی عبادت کرو
[YOUSAF ALI] Not a messenger did We send before thee without this inspiration sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me.
[ PICKTHAL ] And We sent no messenger before thee but We inspired him, (saying): There is no Allah save Me (Allah), so worship Me.
[ SHAKIR ] And We did not send before you any messenger but We revealed to him that there is no god but Me, therefore serve Me.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 71
وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِهِ سُلْطَانًا وَمَا لَيْسَ لَهُمْ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۗ وَمَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ نَصِيرٍ (71
اور یہ لوگ خدا کو چھوڑ کر ان کی پرستش کرتے ہیں جن کے بارے میں نہ خدا نے کوئی دلیل نازل کی ہے اور نہ خود انہیں کوئی علم ہے اور ظالمین کے لئے واقعا کوئی مددگار نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Yet they worship, besides Allah, things for which no authority has been sent down to them, and of which they have (really) no knowledge: for those that do wrong there is no helper.
[ PICKTHAL ] And they worship instead of Allah that for which He hath sent down no warrant, and that whereof they have no knowledge. For evil-doers there is no helper.
[ SHAKIR ] And they serve besides Allah that for which He has not sent any authority, and that of which they have no knowledge; and for the unjust there shall be no helper.
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 84 to 89
قُلْ لِمَنِ الْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهَا إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (84
تو ذرا آپ پوچھئے کہ یہ زمین اور اس کی مخلوقات کس کے لئے ہے اگر تمہارے پاس کچھ بھی علم ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "To whom belong the earth and all beings therein? (say) if ye know!"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Unto Whom (belongeth) the earth and whosoever is therein, if ye have knowledge?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Whose is the earth, and whoever is therein, if you know?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 84 to 89
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (85
یہ فورا کہیں گے کہ اللہ کے لئے ہے تو کہئے کہ پھر سمجھتے کیوں نہیں ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] They will say, "To Allah!" say: "Yet will ye not receive admonition?"
[ PICKTHAL ] They will say: Unto Allah. Say: Will ye not then remember?
[ SHAKIR ] They will say: Allah's. Say: Will you not then mind?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 84 to 89
قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ (86
پھر مزید کہئے کہ ساتوں آسمان اور عرش اعظم کامالک کون ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 84 to 89
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (87
تو یہ پھر کہیں گے کہ اللہ ہی ہے تو کہئے کہ آخر اس سے ڈرتے کیوں نہیں ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?"
[ PICKTHAL ] They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: Will ye not then keep duty (unto Him)?
[ SHAKIR ] They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: Will you not then guard (against evil)?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 84 to 89
قُلْ مَنْ بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (88
پھر کہئے کہ ہر شے کی حکومت کس کے اختیار میں ہے کہ وہی پناہ دیتا ہے اور اسی کے عذاب سے کوئی پناہ دینے والا نہیں ہے اگر تمہارا پاس کوئی بھی علم ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things,- who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know."
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 84 to 89
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ فَأَنَّىٰ تُسْحَرُونَ (89
تو یہ فورا جواب دیں گے کہ یہ سب اللہ کے لئے ہے تو کہئے کہ آخر پھر تم پر کون سا جادو کیا جارہا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] They will say, "(It belongs) to Allah." Say: "Then how are ye deluded?"
[ PICKTHAL ] They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched?
[ SHAKIR ] They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: From whence are you then deceived?
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 59 to 63
قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَامٌ عَلَىٰ عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَىٰ ۗ آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (59
آپ کہئے ساری تعریف اللہ کے لئے ہے اور سلام ہے اس کے ان بندوں پر جنہیں اس نے منتخب کرلیا ہے آیا خدا زیادہ بہتر ہے یا جنہیں یہ شریک بنارہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: Praise be to Allah, and Peace on his servants whom He has chosen (for his Message). (Who) is better?- Allah or the false gods they associate (with Him)?
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (O Muhammad): Praise be to Allah, and peace be on His slaves whom He hath chosen! Is Allah best, or (all) that ye ascribe as partners (unto Him)?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Praise be to Allah and peace on His servants whom He has chosen: is Allah better, or what they associate (with Him)?
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 59 to 63
أَمَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَأَنْزَلَ لَكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا بِهِ حَدَائِقَ ذَاتَ بَهْجَةٍ مَا كَانَ لَكُمْ أَنْ تُنْبِتُوا شَجَرَهَا ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ يَعْدِلُونَ (60
بھلا وہ کون ہے جس نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کیا ہے اور تمہارے لئے آسمان سے پانی برسایا ہے پھر ہم نے اس سے خوشنما باغ اگائے ہیں کہ تم ان کے درختوں کو نہیں اگا سکتے تھے کیا خدا کے ساتھ کوئی اور خدا ہے ... نہیں بلکہ یہ لوگ خود اپنی طرف سے دوسروں کو خدا کے برابر بنارہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who sends you down rain from the sky? Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty of delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them. (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, they are a people who swerve from justice.
[ PICKTHAL ] Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sendeth down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to spring forth joyous orchards, whose trees it never hath been yours to cause to grow. Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but they are folk who ascribe equals (unto Him)!
[ SHAKIR ] Nay, He Who created the heavens and the earth, and sent down for you water from the cloud; then We cause to grow thereby beautiful gardens; it is not possible for you that you should make the trees thereof to grow. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! they are people who deviate.
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 59 to 63
أَمَّنْ جَعَلَ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَجَعَلَ خِلَالَهَا أَنْهَارًا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ حَاجِزًا ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (61
بھلا وہ کون ہے جس نے زمین کو قرار کی جگہ بنایا اور پھر اس کے درمیان نہریں جاری کیں اور اس کے لئے پہاڑ بنائے اور دو دریاؤں کے درمیان حد فاصل قرار دی کیا خدا کے ساتھ کوئی اور بھی خدا ہے ہرگز نہیں اصل یہ ہے کہ ان کی اکثریت جاہل ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not.
[ PICKTHAL ] Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!
[ SHAKIR ] Or, Who made the earth a restingplace, and made in it rivers, and raised on it mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! most of them do not know!
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 59 to 63
أَمَّنْ يُجِيبُ الْمُضْطَرَّ إِذَا دَعَاهُ وَيَكْشِفُ السُّوءَ وَيَجْعَلُكُمْ خُلَفَاءَ الْأَرْضِ ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (62
بھلا وہ کون ہے جو مضطر کی فریاد کو سنتا ہے جب وہ اس کو آواز دیتا ہے اور اس کی مصیبت کو دور کردیتا ہے اور تم لوگوں کو زمین کا وارث بناتا ہے کیا خدا کے ساتھ کوئی اور خدا ہے - نہیں - بلکہ یہ لوگ بہت کم نصیحت حاصل کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is that ye heed!
[ PICKTHAL ] Is not He (best) Who answereth the wronged one when he crieth unto Him and removeth the evil, and hath made you viceroys of the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Little do they reflect!
[ SHAKIR ] Or, Who answers the distressed one when he calls upon Him and removes the evil, and He will make you successors in the earth. Is there a god with Allah? Little is it that you mind!
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 59 to 63
أَمَّنْ يَهْدِيكُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَمَنْ يُرْسِلُ الرِّيَاحَ بُشْرًا بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَحْمَتِهِ ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ تَعَالَى اللَّهُ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (63
بھلا وہ کون ہے جو خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں تمہاری رہنمائی کرتا ہے اور بارش سے پہلے بشارت کے طور پر ہوائیں چلاتا ہے کیا اللہ کے ساتھ کوئی اور خدا ہے - یقینا وہ خدا تمام مخلوقات سے کہیں زیادہ بلند و بالا ہے جنہیں یہ لوگ اس کا شریک بنارہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah?- High is Allah above what they associate with Him!
[ PICKTHAL ] Is not He (best) Who guideth you in the darkness of the land and the sea, He Who sendeth the winds as heralds of His mercy? Is there any Allah beside Allah? High Exalted be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!
[ SHAKIR ] Or, Who guides you in utter darkness of the land and the sea, and Who sends the winds as good news before His mercy. Is there a god with Allah? Exalted by Allah above what they associate (with Him).
- Sura: 28 - al-Qasas (The Stories) Ayat: 88
وَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۘ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ هَالِكٌ إِلَّا وَجْهَهُ ۚ لَهُ الْحُكْمُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ (88
اور اللہ کے ساتھ کسی دوسرے خدا کو مت پکارو کہ اس کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں ہے . اس کی ذات کے ماسوا ہر شے ہلاک ہونے والی ہے اور تم سب اسی کی بارگاہ کی طرف پلٹائے جاؤ گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And call not, besides Allah, on another god. There is no god but He. Everything (that exists) will perish except His own Face. To Him belongs the Command, and to Him will ye (all) be brought back.
[ PICKTHAL ] And cry not unto any other god along with Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back.
[ SHAKIR ] And call not with Allah any other god; there is no god but He, every thing is perishable but He; His is the judgment, and to Him you shall be brought back.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 20 to 25
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ تَنْتَشِرُونَ (20
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک یہ بھی ہے کہ اس نے تمہیں خاک سے پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کے بعد تم بشر کی شکل میں پھیل گئے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then,- behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: He created you of dust, and behold you human beings, ranging widely!
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that He created you from dust, then lo! you are mortals (who) scatter.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 20 to 25
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا لِتَسْكُنُوا إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَوَدَّةً وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (21
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ اس نے تمہارا جوڑا تم ہی میں سے پیدا کیا ہے تاکہ تمہیں اس سے سکون حاصل ہو اور پھر تمہارے درمیان محبت اور رحمت قرار دی ہے کہ اس میں صاحبانِ فکر کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: He created for you helpmeets from yourselves that ye might find rest in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them, and He put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 20 to 25
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْعَالِمِينَ (22
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے آسمان و زمین کی خلقت اور تمہاری زبانوں اور تمہارے رنگوں کا اختلاف بھی ہے کہ اس میں صاحبانِ علم کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Lo! herein indeed are portents for men of knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your tongues and colors; most surely there are signs in this for the learned.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 20 to 25
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ مَنَامُكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ (23
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ تم رات اور دن کو آرام کرتے ہو اور پھر فضل خدا کو تلاش کرتے ہو کہ اس میں بھی سننے والی قوم کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is your slumber by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who heed.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is your sleeping and your seeking of His grace by night and (by) day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who would hear.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 20 to 25
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَيُحْيِي بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (24
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ وہ بجلی کو خوف اور امید کا مرکز بنا کر دکھلاتا ہے اور آسمان سے پانی برساتا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعہ مردہ زمین کو زندہ بناتا ہے بیشک اس میں بھی اس قوم کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں جو عقل رکھنے والی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: He showeth you the lightning for a fear and for a hope, and sendeth down water from the sky, and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who understand.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that He shows you the lightning for fear and for hope, and sends down water from the clouds then gives life therewith to the earth after its death; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 20 to 25
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِنَ الْأَرْضِ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ (25
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ آسمان و زمین اسی کے حکم سے قائم ہیں اور اس کے بعد وہ جب تم سب کو طلب کرے گا تو سب زمین سے یکبارگی برآمد ہوجائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, ye (straightway) come forth.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: The heavens and the earth stand fast by His command, and afterward, when He calleth you, lo! from the earth ye will emerge.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that the heaven and the earth subsist by His command, then when He calls you with a (single) call from out of the earth, lo! you come forth.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) Ayat: 33
وَإِذَا مَسَّ النَّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوْا رَبَّهُمْ مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَذَاقَهُمْ مِنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ (33
اور لوگوں کو جب بھی کوئی مصیبت چھوجاتی ہے تو وہ پروردگار کو پوری توجہ کے ساتھ پکارتے ہیں اس کے بعد جب وہ رحمت کا مزہ چکھا دیتا ہے تو ان میں سے ایک گروہ شرک کرنے لگتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,-
[ PICKTHAL ] And when harm toucheth men they cry unto their Lord, turning to Him in repentance; then, when they have tasted of His mercy, behold! some of them attribute partners to their Lord
[ SHAKIR ] And when harm afflicts men, they call upon their Lord, turning to Him, then when He makes them taste of mercy from Him, lo! some of them begin to associate (others) with their Lord,
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) Ayat: 40
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ هَلْ مِنْ شُرَكَائِكُمْ مَنْ يَفْعَلُ مِنْ ذَٰلِكُمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ ۚ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (40
اللرُ ہی وہ ہے جس نے تم سب کو خلق کیا ہے پھر روزی دی ہے پھر موت دیتا ہے پھر زندہ کرتا ہے کیا تمہارے شرکائ میں کوئی ایسا ہے جو ان میں سے کوئی کام انجام دے سکے خدا ان تمام چیزوں سے جنہیں یہ سب شریک بنارہے ہیں پاک و پاکیزہ اور بلند و برتر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) "Partners" who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)!
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah is He Who created you and then sustained you, then causeth you to die, then giveth life to you again. Is there any of your (so-called) partners (of Allah) that doeth aught of that? Praised and Exalted be He above what they associate (with Him)!
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is He Who created you, then gave you sustenance, then He causes you to die, then brings you to life. Is there any of your associate-gods who does aught of it? Glory be to Him, and exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) From Ayat: 21 to 22
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ اتَّبِعُوا مَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ قَالُوا بَلْ نَتَّبِعُ مَا وَجَدْنَا عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَنَا ۚ أَوَلَوْ كَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ يَدْعُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ عَذَابِ السَّعِيرِ (21
اور جب ان سے کہا جاتا ہے کہ جو کچھ اللہ نے نازل کیا ہے اس کا اتباع کرو تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اس کا اتباع کرتے ہیں جس پر اپنے باپ دادا کو عمل کرتے دیکھا ہے چاہے شیطان ان کو عذاب جہّنم کی طرف دعوت دے رہا ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] When they are told to follow the (Revelation) that Allah has sent down, they say: "Nay, we shall follow the ways that we found our fathers (following). "What! even if it is Satan beckoning them to the Penalty of the (Blazing) Fire?
[ PICKTHAL ] And if it be said unto them: Follow that which Allah hath revealed, they say: Nay, but we follow that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though the devil were inviting them unto the doom of flame?
[ SHAKIR ] And when it is said to them: Follow what Allah has revealed, they say: Nay, we follow that on which we found our fathers. What! though the Shaitan calls them to the chastisement of the burning fire!
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) From Ayat: 21 to 22
۞ وَمَنْ يُسْلِمْ وَجْهَهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَهُوَ مُحْسِنٌ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَ بِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ ۗ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ عَاقِبَةُ الْأُمُورِ (22
اور جو اپنا روئے حیات خدا کی طرف موڑ دے اور وہ نیک کردار بھی ہو تو اس نے ریسمان ہدایت کو مضبوطی سے پکڑ لیا ہے اور تمام امور کا انجام اللہ کی طرف ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Whoever submits his whole self to Allah, and is a doer of good, has grasped indeed the most trustworthy hand-hold: and with Allah rests the End and Decision of (all) affairs.
[ PICKTHAL ] Whosoever surrendereth his purpose to Allah while doing good, he verily hath grasped the firm hand-hold. Unto Allah belongeth the sequel of all things.
[ SHAKIR ] And whoever submits himself wholly to Allah and he is the doer of good (to others), he indeed has taken hold of the firmest thing upon which one can lay hold; and Allah's is the end of affairs.
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) Ayat: 3
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَأْتِينَا السَّاعَةُ ۖ قُلْ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ ۖ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا أَصْغَرُ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (3
اور کفّار کہتے ہیں کہ قیامت آنے والی نہیں ہے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میرے پروردگار کی قسم وہ ضرور آئے گی وہ عالم الغیب ہے اس کے علم سے آسمان و زمین کا کوئی ذرّہ دور نہیں ہے اور نہ اس سے چھوٹا اور نہ بڑا بلکہ سب کچھ اس کی روشن کتاب میں محفوظ ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] The Unbelievers say, "Never to us will come the Hour": Say, "Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come upon you;- by Him Who knows the unseen,- from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the heavens or on earth: Nor is there anything less than that, or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous:
[ PICKTHAL ] Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come unto us. Say: Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the Knower of the Unseen. Not an atom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record,
[ SHAKIR ] And those who disbelieve say: The hour shall not come upon us. Say: Yea! by my Lord, the Knower of the unseen, it shall certainly come upon you; not the weight of an atom becomes absent from Him, in the heavens or in the earth, and neither less than that nor greater, but (all) is in a clear book
- Sura: 35 - Faatir (The Originator) Ayat: 10
مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعِزَّةَ فَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَالْعَمَلُ الصَّالِحُ يَرْفَعُهُ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ يَمْكُرُونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ ۖ وَمَكْرُ أُولَٰئِكَ هُوَ يَبُورُ (10
جو شخص بھی عزّت کا طلبگار ہے وہ سمجھ لے کہ عزّت سب پروردگار کے لئے ہے - پاکیزہ کلمات اسی کی طرف بلند ہوتے ہیں اور عمل صالح انہیں بلند کرتا ہے اور جو لوگ برائیوں کی تدبیریں کرتے ہیں ان کے لئے شدید عذاب ہے اور ان کا مکر بہرحال ہلاک اور تباہ ہونے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result).
[ PICKTHAL ] Whoso desireth power (should know that) all power belongeth to Allah. Unto Him good words ascend, and the pious deed doth He exalt; but those who plot iniquities, theirs will be an awful doom; and the plotting of such (folk) will come to naught.
[ SHAKIR ] Whoever desires honor, then to Allah belongs the honor wholly. To Him do ascend the good words; and the good deeds, lift them up, and (as for) those who plan evil deeds, they shall have a severe chastisement; and (as for) their plan, it shall perish.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 4 to 5
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَاحِدٌ (4
بیشک تمہارا خدا ایک ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Verily, verily, your Allah is one!-
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! thy Lord is surely One;
[ SHAKIR ] Most surely your Allah is One:
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 4 to 5
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ الْمَشَارِقِ (5
وہ آسمان و زمین اور ان کے مابین کی تمام چیزوں کا پروردگار اور ہر مشرق کا مالک ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun!
[ PICKTHAL ] Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings.
[ SHAKIR ] The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, and Lord of the easts.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 35 to 37
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (35
ان سے جب کہا جاتا تھا کہ اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے تو اکڑ جاتے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] For they, when they were told that there is no god except Allah, would puff themselves up with Pride,
[ PICKTHAL ] For when it was said unto them, There is no Allah save Allah, they were scornful
[ SHAKIR ] Surely they used to behave proudly when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah;
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 35 to 37
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُو آلِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَجْنُونٍ (36
اور کہتے تھے کہ کیا ہم ایک مجنون شاعر کی خاطر اپنے خداؤں کو چھوڑ دیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"
[ PICKTHAL ] And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet?
[ SHAKIR ] And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet?
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 35 to 37
بَلْ جَاءَ بِالْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ (37
حالانکہ وہ حق لے کر آیا تھا اور تمام رسولوں کی تصدیق کرنے والا تھا
[YOUSAF ALI] Nay! he has come with the (very) Truth, and he confirms (the Message of) the messengers (before him).
[ PICKTHAL ] Nay, but he brought the Truth, and he confirmed those sent (before him).
[ SHAKIR ] Nay: he has come with the truth and verified the messengers.
- Sura: 38 - Saad (The letter 'saad') Ayat: 5
أَجَعَلَ الْآلِهَةَ إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ (5
کیا اس نے سارے خداؤں کو جوڑ کر ایک خدا بنادیا ہے یہ تو انتہائی تعجب خیز بات ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Has he made the gods (all) into one Allah? Truly this is a wonderful thing!"
[ PICKTHAL ] Maketh he the gods One Allah? Lo! that is an astounding thing.
[ SHAKIR ] What! makes he the gods a single Allah? A strange thing is this, to be sure!
- Sura: 38 - Saad (The letter 'saad') Ayat: 65
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مُنْذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ (65
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میں تو صرف ڈرانے والا ہوں اور خدائے واحد و قہار کے علاوہ کوئی دوسرا خدا نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,-
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (unto them, O Muhammad): I am only a warner, and there is no Allah save Allah, the One, the Absolute,
[ SHAKIR ] Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all):
- Sura: 39 - az-Zumar (The Groups) Ayat: 45
وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ اشْمَأَزَّتْ قُلُوبُ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ ۖ وَإِذَا ذُكِرَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ (45
اور جب ان کے سامنے خدائے یکتا کا ذکر آتا ہے تو جن کا ایمان آخرت پر نہیں ہے ان کے دل متنفر ہوجاتے ہیں اور جب اس کے علاوہ کسی اور کا ذکر آتا ہے تو خوش ہوجاتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] When Allah, the One and Only, is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and horror; but when (gods) other than He are mentioned, behold, they are filled with joy!
[ PICKTHAL ] And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are repelled, and when those (whom they worship) beside Him are mentioned, behold! they are glad.
[ SHAKIR ] And when Allah alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who do not believe in the hereafter shrink, and when those besides Him are mentioned, lo! they are joyful.
- Sura: 39 - az-Zumar (The Groups) From Ayat: 64 to 65
قُلْ أَفَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ تَأْمُرُونِّي أَعْبُدُ أَيُّهَا الْجَاهِلُونَ (64
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اے جاہلو کیا تم مجھے اس بات کا حکم دیتے ہو کہ میں غیر خدا کی عبادت کرنے لگوں
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Is it some one other than Allah that ye order me to worship, O ye ignorant ones?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): Do ye bid me serve other than Allah? O ye fools!
[ SHAKIR ] Say: What! Do you then bid me serve others than Allah, O ignorant men?
- Sura: 39 - az-Zumar (The Groups) From Ayat: 64 to 65
وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ (65
اور یقینا تمہاری طرف اور تم سے پہلے والوں کی طرف یہی وحی کی گئی ہے کہ اگر تم شرک اختیار کرو گے تو تمہارے تمام اعمال برباد کردیئے جائیں گے اور تمہارا شمار گھاٹے والوں میں ہوجائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] But it has already been revealed to thee,- as it was to those before thee,- "If thou wert to join (gods with Allah), truly fruitless will be thy work (in life), and thou wilt surely be in the ranks of those who lose (all spiritual good)".
[ PICKTHAL ] And verily it hath been revealed unto thee as unto those before thee (saying): If thou ascribe a partner to Allah thy work will fail and thou indeed wilt be among the losers.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly, it has been revealed to you and to those before you: Surely if you associate (with Allah), your work would certainly come to naught and you would certainly be of the losers.
- Sura: 40 - al-Ghaafir (The Forgiver) Ayat: 20
وَاللَّهُ يَقْضِي بِالْحَقِّ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَيْءٍ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ (20
وہ حق کے ساتھ فیصلہ کرتا ہے اور اس کو چھوڑ کر یہ جن کی عبادت کرتے ہیں وہ تو کوئی فیصلہ بھی نہیں کرسکتے ہیں بیشک اللہ سب کی سننے والا اور سب کچھ دیکھنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And Allah will judge with (justice and) Truth: but those whom (men) invoke besides Him, will not (be in a position) to judge at all. Verily it is Allah (alone) Who hears and sees (all things).
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah judgeth with truth, while those to whom they cry instead of Him judge not at all. Lo! Allah, He is the Hearer, the Seer.
[ SHAKIR ] And Allah judges with the truth; and those whom they call upon besides Him cannot judge aught; surely Allah is the Hearing, the Seeing.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
أَمْ آتَيْنَاهُمْ كِتَابًا مِنْ قَبْلِهِ فَهُمْ بِهِ مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ (21
کیا ہم نے اس سے پہلے انہیں کوئی کتاب دی ہے جس سے یہ تمسّک کئے ہوئے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] What! have We given them a Book before this, to which they are holding fast?
[ PICKTHAL ] Or have We given them any scripture before (this Qur'an) so that they are holding fast thereto?
[ SHAKIR ] Or have We given them a book before it so that they hold fast to it?
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
بَلْ قَالُوا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُهْتَدُونَ (22
نہیں بلکہ ان کا کہنا صرف یہ ہے کہ ہم نے اپنے باپ داداکو ایک طریقہ پر پایا ہے اورہم ان ہی کے نقش قدم پر ہدایت پانے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Nay! they say: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we do guide ourselves by their footsteps."
[ PICKTHAL ] Nay, for they say only: Lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are guided by their footprints.
[ SHAKIR ] Nay! they say: We found our fathers on a course, and surely we are guided by their footsteps.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
وَكَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فِي قَرْيَةٍ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ إِلَّا قَالَ مُتْرَفُوهَا إِنَّا وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا عَلَىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ آثَارِهِمْ مُقْتَدُونَ (23
اور اسی طرح ہم نے آپ سے پہلے کی بستی میں کوئی پیغمبر نہیں بھیجا مگر یہ کہ اس بستی کے خوشحال لوگوں نے یہ کہہ دیا کہ ہم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو ایک طریقہ پر پایا ہے اور ہم ان ہی کے نقش قدم کی پیروی کرنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Just in the same way, whenever We sent a Warner before thee to any people, the wealthy ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain religion, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps."
[ PICKTHAL ] And even so We sent not a warner before thee (Muhammad) into any township but its luxurious ones said: Lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are following their footprints.
[ SHAKIR ] And thus, We did not send before you any warner in a town, but those who led easy lives in it said: Surely we found our fathers on a course, and surely we are followers of their footsteps.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
۞ قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِأَهْدَىٰ مِمَّا وَجَدْتُمْ عَلَيْهِ آبَاءَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا إِنَّا بِمَا أُرْسِلْتُمْ بِهِ كَافِرُونَ (24
تو پیغمبر نے کہا کہ چاہے میں اس سے بہتر پیغام لے آؤں جس پر تم نے اپنے باپ دادا کو پایا ہے تو انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ ہم تمہارے پیغام کے ماننے والے نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] He said: "What! Even if I brought you better guidance than that which ye found your fathers following?" They said: "For us, we deny that ye (prophets) are sent (on a mission at all)."
[ PICKTHAL ] (And the warner) said: What! Even though I bring you better guidance than that ye found your fathers following? They answered: Lo! in what ye bring we are disbelievers.
[ SHAKIR ] (The warner) said: What! even if I bring to you a better guide than that on which you found your fathers? They said: Surely we are unbelievers in that with which you are sent.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ ۖ فَانْظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الْمُكَذِّبِينَ (25
پھر ہم نے ان سے بدلہ لے لیا تو اب دیکھو کہ تکذیب کرنے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] So We exacted retribution from them: now see what was the end of those who rejected (Truth)!
[ PICKTHAL ] So We requited them. Then see the nature of the consequence for the rejecters!
[ SHAKIR ] So We inflicted retribution on them, then see how was the end of the rejecters.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
وَإِذْ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ إِنَّنِي بَرَاءٌ مِمَّا تَعْبُدُونَ (26
اور جب ابراہیم نے اپنے (مربی) باپ اور اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ میں تمہارے تمام معبودوں سے بری اور بیزار ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] Behold! Abraham said to his father and his people: "I do indeed clear myself of what ye worship:
[ PICKTHAL ] And when Abraham said unto his father and his folk: Lo! I am innocent of what ye worship
[ SHAKIR ] And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people: Surely I am clear of what you worship,
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
إِلَّا الَّذِي فَطَرَنِي فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهْدِينِ (27
علاوہ اس معبود کے کہ جس نے مجھے پیدا کیا ہے کہ وہی عنقریب مجھے ہدایت دینے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "(I worship) only Him Who made me, and He will certainly guide me."
[ PICKTHAL ] Save Him Who did create me, for He will surely guide me.
[ SHAKIR ] Save Him Who created me, for surely He will guide me.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
وَجَعَلَهَا كَلِمَةً بَاقِيَةً فِي عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ (28
اور انہوں نے اس پیغام کو اپنی نسل میں ایک کلمہ باقیہ قرار دے دیا کہ شاید وہ لوگ خدا کی طرف پلٹ آئیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And he left it as a Word to endure among those who came after him, that they may turn back (to Allah).
[ PICKTHAL ] And he made it a word enduring among his seed, that haply they might return.
[ SHAKIR ] And he made it a word to continue in his posterity that they may return.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
بَلْ مَتَّعْتُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ وَرَسُولٌ مُبِينٌ (29
بلکہ ہم نے ان لوگوں کو اور ان کے بزرگوں کو برابر آرام دیا یہاں تک کہ ان کے پاس حق اور واضح رسول آگیا
[YOUSAF ALI] Yea, I have given the good things of this life to these (men) and their fathers, until the Truth has come to them, and a messenger making things clear.
[ PICKTHAL ] Nay, but I let these and their fathers enjoy life (only) till there should come unto them the Truth and a messenger making plain.
[ SHAKIR ] Nay! I gave them and their fathers to enjoy until there came to them the truth and a Messenger making manifest (the truth).
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
وَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمُ الْحَقُّ قَالُوا هَٰذَا سِحْرٌ وَإِنَّا بِهِ كَافِرُونَ (30
اور جب حق آگیا تو کہنے لگے کہ یہ تو جادو ہے اور ہم اس کے منکر ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] But when the Truth came to them, they said: "This is sorcery, and we do reject it."
[ PICKTHAL ] And now that the Truth hath come unto them they say: This is mere magic, and lo! we are disbelievers therein.
[ SHAKIR ] And when there came to them the truth they said: This is magic, and surely we are disbelievers in it.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنُ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَرْيَتَيْنِ عَظِيمٍ (31
اور یہ کہنے لگے کہ آخر یہ قرآن دونوں بستیوں (مکہ و طائف) کے کسی بڑے آدمی پر کیوں نہیں نازل کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Also, they say: "Why is not this Qur'an sent down to some leading man in either of the two (chief) cities?"
[ PICKTHAL ] And they say: If only this Qur'an had been revealed to some great man of the two towns?
[ SHAKIR ] And they say: Why was not this Quran revealed to a man of importance in the two towns?
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 21 to 32
أَهُمْ يَقْسِمُونَ رَحْمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحْنُ قَسَمْنَا بَيْنَهُمْ مَعِيشَتَهُمْ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَرَفَعْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ دَرَجَاتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعْضُهُمْ بَعْضًا سُخْرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحْمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ (32
تو کیا یہی لوگ رحمت پروردگار کو تقسیم کررہے ہیں حالانکہ ہم نے ہی ان کے درمیان معیشت کو زندگانی دنیا میں تقسیم کیا ہے اور بعض کو بعض سے اونچا بنایا ہے تاکہ ایک دوسرے سے کام لے سکیں اور رحمت پروردگار ان کے جمع کئے ہوئے مال و متاع سے کہیں زیادہ بہتر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of thy Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in the life of this world: and We raise some of them above others in ranks, so that some may command work from others. But the Mercy of thy Lord is better than the (wealth) which they amass.
[ PICKTHAL ] Is it they who apportion thy Lord's mercy? We have apportioned among them their livelihood in the life of the world, and raised some of them above others in rank that some of them may take labour from others; and the mercy of thy Lord is better than (the wealth) that they amass.
[ SHAKIR ] Will they distribute the mercy of your Lord? We distribute among them their livelihood in the life of this world, and We j have exalted some of them above others in degrees, that some of them may take others in subjection; and the mercy of your Lord is better than what they amass.
- Sura: 49 - al-Hujraat (The Inner Apartments) Ayat: 18
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بَصِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ (18
بیشک اللہ آسمان و زمین کے ہر غیب کا جاننے والا اور وہ تمہارے تمام اعمال کا بھی دیکھنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Verily Allah knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth: and Allah Sees well all that ye do."
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! Allah knoweth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seer of what ye do.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely Allah knows the unseen things of the heavens and the earth; and Allah sees what you do.
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') Ayat: 16
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ وَنَعْلَمُ مَا تُوَسْوِسُ بِهِ نَفْسُهُ ۖ وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ (16
اور ہم نے ہی انسان کو پیدا کیا ہے اور ہمیں معلوم ہے کہ اس کا نفس کیا کیا وسوسے پیدا کرتا ہے اور ہم اس سے رگ گردن سے زیادہ قریب ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein.
[ PICKTHAL ] We verily created man and We know what his soul whispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein.
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ (35
کیا یہ بغیر کسی چیز کے ازخود پیدا ہوگئے ہیں یا یہ خود ہی پیدا کرنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?
[ PICKTHAL ] Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators?
[ SHAKIR ] Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators?
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ (36
یا انہوں نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کردیا ہے - حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ یقین کرنے والے نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.
[ PICKTHAL ] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing!
[ SHAKIR ] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty.
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ (37
یا ان کے پاس پروردگار کے خزانے ہیں یہی لوگ حاکم ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)?
[ PICKTHAL ] Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)?
[ SHAKIR ] Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority?
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ (38
یا ان کے پاس کوئی سیڑھی ہے جس کے ذریعہ آسمان کی باتیں سن لیا کرتے ہیں تو ان کا سننے والا کوئی واضح ثبوت لے آئے
[YOUSAF ALI] Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof.
[ PICKTHAL ] Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest!
[ SHAKIR ] Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority.
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ (39
یا خدا کے لئے لڑکیاں ہیں اور تمہارے لئے لڑکے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or has He only daughters and ye have sons?
[ PICKTHAL ] Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons?
[ SHAKIR ] Or has He daughters while you have sons?
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ (40
یا تم ان سے کوئی اجر رسالت مانگتے ہو کہ یہ اس کے بوجھ کے نیچے دبے جارہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?-
[ PICKTHAL ] Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt?
[ SHAKIR ] Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt?
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ (41
یا ان کے پاس غیب کا علم ہے کہ یہ اسے لکھ رہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down?
[ PICKTHAL ] Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down?
[ SHAKIR ] Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down?
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ (42
یا یہ کوئی مکاری کرنا چاہتے ہیں تو یاد رکھو کہ کفار خود اپنی چال میں پھنس جانے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot!
[ PICKTHAL ] Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared!
[ SHAKIR ] Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war.
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 43
أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ (43
یا ان کے لئے خدا کے علاوہ کوئی دوسرا خدا ہے جب کہ خدا ان کے شرک سے پاک و پاکیزہ ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him!
[ PICKTHAL ] Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!
[ SHAKIR ] Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him).
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) Ayat: 85
وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْكُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ (85
اور ہم تمہاری نسبت مرنے والے سے قریب ہیں مگر تم دیکھ نہیں سکتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,-
[ PICKTHAL ] - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not -
[ SHAKIR ] And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see--
- Sura: 98 - al-Bayyina (The Evidence) Ayat: 5
وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ حُنَفَاءَ وَيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ الْقَيِّمَةِ (5
اور انہیں صرف اس بات کا حکم دیا گیا تھا کہ خدا کی عبادت کریں اور اس عبادت کو اسی کے لئے خالص رکھیں اور نماز قائم کریں اور زکوٰہ ادا کریں اور یہی سچاّ اور مستحکم دین ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.
[ PICKTHAL ] And they are ordered naught else than to serve Allah, keeping religion pure for Him, as men by nature upright, and to establish worship and to pay the poor-due. That is true religion.
[ SHAKIR ] And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion.
- Sura: 112 - al-Ikhlaas (Sincerity) From Ayat: 1 to 4
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ (1
اے رسول کہہ دیجئے کہ وہ اللہ ایک ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: He is Allah, the One!
[ SHAKIR ] Say: He, Allah, is One.
- Sura: 112 - al-Ikhlaas (Sincerity) From Ayat: 1 to 4
اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ (2
اللہ برحق اور بے نیاز ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah, the eternally Besought of all!
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is He on Whom all depend.
- Sura: 112 - al-Ikhlaas (Sincerity) From Ayat: 1 to 4
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ (3
اس کی نہ کوئی اولاد ہے اور نہ والد
[YOUSAF ALI] He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
[ PICKTHAL ] He begetteth not nor was begotten.
[ SHAKIR ] He begets not, nor is He begotten.
- Sura: 112 - al-Ikhlaas (Sincerity) From Ayat: 1 to 4
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ (4
اور نہ اس کا کوئی کفو اور ہمسر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And there is none like unto Him.
[ PICKTHAL ] And there is none comparable unto Him.
[ SHAKIR ] And none is like Him.
