- Sura: 24 - an-Noor (The Light) Ayat: 47
وَيَقُولُونَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالرَّسُولِ وَأَطَعْنَا ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّىٰ فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ ۚ وَمَا أُولَٰئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ (47
اور یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ اور رسول پر ایمان لے آئے ہیں اور ان کی اطاعت کی ہے اور اس کے بعد ان میں سے ایک فریق منہ پھیرلیتا ہے اور یہ واقعا صاحبانِ ایمان نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] They say, "We believe in Allah and in the messenger, and we obey": but even after that, some of them turn away: they are not (really) Believers.
[ PICKTHAL ] And they say: We believe in Allah and the messenger, and we obey; then after that a faction of them turn away. Such are not believers.
[ SHAKIR ] And they say: We believe in Allah and in the messenger and we obey; then a party of them turn back after this, and these are not believers.
- Sura: 24 - an-Noor (The Light) Ayat: 51
إِنَّمَا كَانَ قَوْلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذَا دُعُوا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَنْ يَقُولُوا سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ (51
مومنین کو تو خدا اور رسول کی طرف بلایا جاتا ہے کہ وہ فیصلہ کریں گے تو ان کا قول صرف یہ ہوتا ہے کہ ہم نے سنا اور اطاعت کی اور یہی لوگ درحقیقت فلاح پانے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] The answer of the Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger, in order that He may judge between them, is no other than this: they say, "We hear and we obey": it is such as these that will attain felicity.
[ PICKTHAL ] The saying of (all true) believers when they appeal unto Allah and His messenger to judge between them is only that they say: We hear and we obey. And such are the successful.
[ SHAKIR ] The response of the believers, when they are invited to Allah and His Messenger that he may judge between them, is only to say: We hear and we obey; and these it is that are the successful.
- Sura: 33 - al-Ahzaab (The Clans) Ayat: 36
وَمَا كَانَ لِمُؤْمِنٍ وَلَا مُؤْمِنَةٍ إِذَا قَضَى اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَمْرًا أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُمُ الْخِيَرَةُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِمْ ۗ وَمَنْ يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا مُبِينًا (36
اور کسی مومن مرد یا عورت کو اختیار نہیں ہے کہ جب خدا و رسول کسی امر کے بارے میں فیصلہ کردیں تو وہ بھی اپنے امر کے بارے میں صاحبِ اختیار بن جائے اور جو بھی خدا و رسول کی نافرمانی کرے گا وہ بڑی کھاَلی ہوئی گمراہی میں مبتلا ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.
[ PICKTHAL ] And it becometh not a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His messenger have decided an affair (for them), that they should (after that) claim any say in their affair; and whoso is rebellious to Allah and His messenger, he verily goeth astray in error manifest.
[ SHAKIR ] And it behoves not a believing man and a believing woman that they should have any choice in their matter when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter; and whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he surely strays off a manifest straying.
