- Sura: 1 - al-Faatiha (The Opening) Ayat: 4
مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ (4
روزِ قیامت کا مالک و مختار ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Master of the Day of Judgment.
[ PICKTHAL ] Master of the Day of Judgment,
[ SHAKIR ] Master of the Day of Judgment.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 63 to 64
قُلْ مَنْ يُنَجِّيكُمْ مِنْ ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ تَدْعُونَهُ تَضَرُّعًا وَخُفْيَةً لَئِنْ أَنْجَانَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الشَّاكِرِينَ (63
ان سے کہئے کہ خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں سے کون نجات دیتا ہے جسے تم گڑگڑا کر اور خفیہ طریقہ سے آواز دیتے ہو کہ اگر اس مصیبت سے نجات دے دے گا تو ہم شکر گزار بن جائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is it that delivereth you from the dark recesses of land and sea, when ye call upon Him in humility and silent terror: 'If He only delivers us from these (dangers), (we vow) we shall truly show our gratitude'?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Who delivereth you from the darkness of the land and the sea? Ye call upon Him humbly and in secret, (saying): If we are delivered from this (fear) we truly will be of the thankful.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is it that delivers you from the dangers of the land and the sea (when) you call upon Him (openly) humiliating yourselves, and in secret: If He delivers us from this, we should certainly be of the grateful ones.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 63 to 64
قُلِ اللَّهُ يُنَجِّيكُمْ مِنْهَا وَمِنْ كُلِّ كَرْبٍ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ (64
کہہ دیجئے کہ خد اہی تمہیں ان تمام ظلمات سے اور ہر کرب و بے چینی سے نجات دینے والا ہے اس کے بعد تم لوگ شرک اختیار کرلیتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Say "It is Allah that delivereth you from these and all (other) distresses: and yet ye worship false gods!"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Allah delivereth you from this and from all affliction. Yet ye attribute partners unto Him.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Allah delivers you from them and from every distress, but again you set up others (with Him).
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 106
وَلَا تَدْعُ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُكَ وَلَا يَضُرُّكَ ۖ فَإِنْ فَعَلْتَ فَإِنَّكَ إِذًا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ (106
اور خدا کے علاوہ کسی ایسے کو آواز نہ دیں جو نہ فائدہ پہنچا سکتا ہے اور نہ نقصان ورنہ ایسا کریں گے تو آپ کا شمار بھی ظالمین میں ہوجائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] "'Nor call on any, other than Allah;- Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.'"
[ PICKTHAL ] And cry not, beside Allah, unto that which cannot profit thee nor hurt thee, for if thou didst so then wert thou of the wrong-doers.
[ SHAKIR ] And do not call besides Allah on that which can neither benefit you nor harm you, for if you do then surely you will in that case be of the unjust.
- Sura: 40 - al-Ghaafir (The Forgiver) Ayat: 60
وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ عَنْ عِبَادَتِي سَيَدْخُلُونَ جَهَنَّمَ دَاخِرِينَ (60
اور تمہارے پروردگار کا ارشاد ہے کہ مجھ سے دعا کرو میں قبول کروں گا اور یقینا جو لوگ میری عبادت سے اکڑتے ہیں وہ عنقریب ذلّت کے ساتھ جہّنم میں داخل ہوں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And your Lord says: "Call on Me; I will answer your (Prayer): but those who are too arrogant to serve Me will surely find themselves in Hell - in humiliation!"
[ PICKTHAL ] And your Lord hath said: Pray unto Me and I will hear your prayer. Lo! those who scorn My service, they will enter hell, disgraced.
[ SHAKIR ] And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will answer you; surely those who are too proud for My service shall soon enter hell abased.
