- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) Ayat: 19
وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ (19
اور ان کے اموال میں مانگنے والے اور نہ مانگنے والے محروم افراد کے لئے ایک حق تھا
[YOUSAF ALI] And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking).
[ PICKTHAL ] And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share.
[ SHAKIR ] And in their property was a portion due to him who begs and to him who is denied (good).
- Sura: 69 - al-Haaqqa (The Reality) From Ayat: 33 to 35
إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ (33
یہ خدائے عظیم پر ایمان نہیں رکھتا تھا
[YOUSAF ALI] "This was he that would not believe in Allah Most High.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous,
[ SHAKIR ] Surely he did not believe in Allah, the Great,
- Sura: 69 - al-Haaqqa (The Reality) From Ayat: 33 to 35
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ (34
اور لوگوں کو مسکینوں کو کھلانے پر آمادہ نہیں کرتا تھا
[YOUSAF ALI] "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent!
[ PICKTHAL ] And urged not on the feeding of the wretched.
[ SHAKIR ] Nor did he urge the feeding of the poor.
- Sura: 69 - al-Haaqqa (The Reality) From Ayat: 33 to 35
فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ (35
تو آج اس کا یہاں کوئی غمخوار نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "So no friend hath he here this Day.
[ PICKTHAL ] Therefor hath he no lover here this day,
[ SHAKIR ] Therefore he has not here today a true friend,
- Sura: 107 - al-Maa`un (Almsgiving) From Ayat: 1 to 3
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ (1
کیا تم نے اس شخص کو دیکھا ہے جوقیامت کو جھٹلاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou observed him who belieth religion?
[ SHAKIR ] Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?
- Sura: 107 - al-Maa`un (Almsgiving) From Ayat: 1 to 3
فَذَٰلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ (2
یہ وہی ہے جو یتیم کو دھکےّ دیتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),
[ PICKTHAL ] That is he who repelleth the orphan,
[ SHAKIR ] That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,
- Sura: 107 - al-Maa`un (Almsgiving) From Ayat: 1 to 3
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ (3
اور کسی کو مسکین کے کھانے کے لئے تیار نہیں کرتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.
[ PICKTHAL ] And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.
[ SHAKIR ] And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.
