- Sura: 8 - al-Anfaal (The Spoils of War) Ayat: 73
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ ۚ إِلَّا تَفْعَلُوهُ تَكُنْ فِتْنَةٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَفَسَادٌ كَبِيرٌ (73
جو لوگ کفر والے ہیں وہ آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے مددگار ہیں اور اگر تم ایمان والوں کی مدد نہ کرو گے تو زمین میں فتنہ اور عظیم فساد برپا ہوجائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief.
[ PICKTHAL ] And those who disbelieve are protectors one of another - If ye do not so, there will be confusion in the land, and great corruption.
[ SHAKIR ] And (as for) those who disbelieve, some of them are the guardians of others; if you will not do it, there will be in the land persecution and great mischief.
- Sura: 8 - al-Anfaal (The Spoils of War) From Ayat: 74 to 75
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالَّذِينَ آوَوْا وَنَصَرُوا أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ حَقًّا ۚ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ (74
اور جن لوگوں نے ایمان اختیار کیا اور ہجرت کی اور راسِ خدا میں جہاد کیا اور پناہ دی اور نصرت کی وہی درحقیقت واقعی مومن ہیں اور ان ہی کے لئے مغفرت اور باعزّت رزق ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Those who believe, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith, in the cause of Allah as well as those who give (them) asylum and aid,- these are (all) in very truth the Believers: for them is the forgiveness of sins and a provision most generous.
[ PICKTHAL ] Those who believed and left their homes and strove for the cause of Allah, and those who took them in and helped them - these are the believers in truth. For them is pardon, and bountiful provision.
[ SHAKIR ] And (as for) those who believed and fled and struggled hard in Allah's way, and those who gave shelter and helped, these are the believers truly; they shall have forgiveness and honorable provision.
- Sura: 8 - al-Anfaal (The Spoils of War) From Ayat: 74 to 75
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنْ بَعْدُ وَهَاجَرُوا وَجَاهَدُوا مَعَكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ مِنْكُمْ ۚ وَأُولُو الْأَرْحَامِ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلَىٰ بِبَعْضٍ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (75
اور جو لوگ بعد میں ایمان لے آئے اور ہجرت کی اور آپ کے ساتھ جہاد کیا وہ بھی تم ہی میں سے ہیں اور قرابتدار کتابِ خدا میں سب آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے زیادہ اوّلیت اور قربت رکھتے ہیں بیشک اللہ ہر شے کا بہترین جاننے والا ہے.
[YOUSAF ALI] And those who accept Faith subsequently, and adopt exile, and fight for the Faith in your company,- they are of you. But kindred by blood have prior rights against each other in the Book of Allah. Verily Allah is well-acquainted with all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] And those who afterwards believed and left their homes and strove along with you, they are of you; and those who are akin are nearer one to another in the ordinance of Allah. Lo! Allah is Knower of all things.
[ SHAKIR ] And (as for) those who believed afterwards and fled and struggled hard along with you, they are of you; and the possessors of relationships are nearer to each other in the ordinance of Allah; surely Allah knows all things.
- Sura: 9 - at-Tawba (The Repentance) Ayat: 11
فَإِنْ تَابُوا وَأَقَامُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَوُا الزَّكَاةَ فَإِخْوَانُكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (11
پھر بھی اگر یہ توبہ کرلیں اور نماز قائم کریں اور زکوٰ ِ ادا کریں تو دین میں تمہارے بھائی ہیں اور ہم صاحبان هعلم کے لئے اپنی آیات کو تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کرتے رہتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] But (even so), if they repent, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity,- they are your brethren in Faith: (thus) do We explain the Signs in detail, for those who understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] But if they repent and establish worship and pay the poor-due, then are they your brethren in religion. We detail Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] But if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, they are your brethren in faith; and We make the communications clear for a people who know.
- Sura: 9 - at-Tawba (The Repentance) Ayat: 23
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا آبَاءَكُمْ وَإِخْوَانَكُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ إِنِ اسْتَحَبُّوا الْكُفْرَ عَلَى الْإِيمَانِ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ مِنْكُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ (23
ایمان والو خبردار اپنے باپ دادا اور بھائیوں کو اپنا دوست نہ بناؤ اگر وہ ایمان کے مقابلہ میں کفر کو دوست رکھتے ہوں اور جو شخص بھی ایسے لوگوں کو اپنا دوست بنائے گا وہ ظالموں میں شمار ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] O ye who believe! take not for protectors your fathers and your brothers if they love infidelity above Faith: if any of you do so, they do wrong.
[ PICKTHAL ] O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers.
[ SHAKIR ] O you who believe! do not take your fathers and your brothers for guardians if they love unbelief more than belief; and whoever of you takes them for a guardian, these it is that are the unjust.
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) Ayat: 52
وَإِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاتَّقُونِ (52
اور تمہارا سب کا دین ایک دین ہے اور میں ہی سب کا پروردگار ہوں لہذا بس مجھ سے ڈرو
[YOUSAF ALI] And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other).
[ PICKTHAL ] And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me.
[ SHAKIR ] And surely this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, therefore be careful (of your duty) to Me.
- Sura: 29 - al-`Ankaboot (The Spider) Ayat: 8
وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حُسْنًا ۖ وَإِنْ جَاهَدَاكَ لِتُشْرِكَ بِي مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ فَلَا تُطِعْهُمَا ۚ إِلَيَّ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَأُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (8
اور ہم نے انسان کو ماں باپ کے ساتھ نیک برتاؤ کرنے کی نصیحت کی ہے اور بتایا ہے کہ اگر وہ کسی ایسی شے کو میرا شریک بنانے پر مجبور کریں جس کا تمہیں علم نہیں ہے تو خبردار ان کی اطاعت نہ کرنا کہ تم سب کی بازگشت میری ہی طرف ہے پھر میں بتاؤں گا کہ تم لوگ کیا کررہے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did.
[ PICKTHAL ] We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do.
[ SHAKIR ] And We have enjoined on man goodness to his parents, and if they contend with you that you should associate (others) with Me, of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them, to Me is your return, so I will inform you of what you did.
- Sura: 49 - al-Hujraat (The Inner Apartments) Ayat: 10
إِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌ فَأَصْلِحُوا بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْكُمْ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ (10
مومنین آپس میں بالکل بھائی بھائی ہیں لہٰذا اپنے بھائیوں کے درمیان اصلاح کرو اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو کہ شاید تم پر رحم کیا جائے
[YOUSAF ALI] The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy.
[ PICKTHAL ] The believers are naught else than brothers. Therefore make peace between your brethren and observe your duty to Allah that haply ye may obtain mercy.
[ SHAKIR ] The believers are but brethren, therefore make peace between your brethren and be careful of (your duty to) Allah that mercy may be had on you.
- Sura: 60 - al-Mumtahina (She that is to be examined) From Ayat: 8 to 9
لَا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ أَنْ تَبَرُّوهُمْ وَتُقْسِطُوا إِلَيْهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُقْسِطِينَ (8
وہ تمہیں ان لوگوں کے بارے میں جنہوں نے تم سے دین کے معاملہ میں جنگ نہیں کی ہے اور تمہیں وطن سے نہیں نکالا ہے اس بات سے نہیں روکتا ہے کہ تم ان کے ساتھ نیکی اور انصاف کرو کہ خدا انصاف کرنے والوں کو دوست رکھتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah does not forbid you respecting those who have not made war against you on account of (your) religion, and have not driven you forth from your homes, that you show them kindness and deal with them justly; surely Allah loves the doers of justice.
- Sura: 60 - al-Mumtahina (She that is to be examined) From Ayat: 8 to 9
إِنَّمَا يَنْهَاكُمُ اللَّهُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ وَأَخْرَجُوكُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِكُمْ وَظَاهَرُوا عَلَىٰ إِخْرَاجِكُمْ أَنْ تَوَلَّوْهُمْ ۚ وَمَنْ يَتَوَلَّهُمْ فَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ (9
وہ تمہیں صرف ان لوگوں سے روکتا ہے جنہوں نے تم سے دین میں جنگ کی ہے اور تمہیں وطن سے نکال باہر کیا ہے اور تمہارے نکالنے پر دشمنوں کی مدد کی ہے کہ ان سے دوستی کرو اور جو ان سے دوستی کرے گا وہ یقینا ظالم ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these circumstances), that do wrong.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah forbiddeth you only those who warred against you on account of religion and have driven you out from your homes and helped to drive you out, that ye make friends of them. Whosoever maketh friends of them - (All) such are wrong-doers.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah only forbids you respecting those who made war upon you on account of (your) religion, and drove you forth from your homes and backed up (others) in your expulsion, that you make friends with them, and whoever makes friends with them, these are the unjust.
