- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 189
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (189
اور اللہ کے لئے زمین و آسمان کی کل حکومت ہے اور وہ ہر شے پر قادر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth; and Allah hath power over all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. Allah is Able to do all things.
[ SHAKIR ] And Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Allah has power over all things.
- Sura: 5 - al-Maaida (The Table) Ayat: 19
يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ قَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلَىٰ فَتْرَةٍ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ أَنْ تَقُولُوا مَا جَاءَنَا مِنْ بَشِيرٍ وَلَا نَذِيرٍ ۖ فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ بَشِيرٌ وَنَذِيرٌ ۗ وَاللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ (19
اے اہلِ کتاب تمہارے پاس رسولوں کے ایک وقفہ کے بعد ہمارا یہ رسول آیا ہے کہ تم یہ نہ کہو کہ ہمارے پاس کوئی بشیر و نذیر نہیں آیا تھا تو لو یہ بشیر و نذیر آگیا ہے اور خدا ہر شے پر قادر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] O People of the Book! Now hath come unto you, making (things) clear unto you, Our Messenger, after the break in (the series of) our messengers, lest ye should say: "There came unto us no bringer of glad tidings and no warner (from evil)": But now hath come unto you a bringer of glad tidings and a warner (from evil). And Allah hath power over all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] O People of the Scripture! Now hath Our messenger come unto you to make things plain unto you after an interval (of cessation) of the messengers, lest ye should say: There came not unto us a messenger of cheer nor any warner. Now hath a messenger of cheer and a warner come unto you. Allah is Able to do all things.
[ SHAKIR ] O followers of the Book! indeed Our Messenger has come to you explaining to you after a cessation of the (mission of the) messengers, lest you say: There came not to us a giver of good news or a warner, so indeed there has come to you a giver of good news and a warner; and Allah has power over all things.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 17
أَفَمَنْ يَخْلُقُ كَمَنْ لَا يَخْلُقُ ۗ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (17
کیا ایسا پیدا کرنے والا ان کے جیسا ہوسکتا ہے جو کچھ نہیں پیدا کرسکتے آخر تمہیں ہوش کیوں نہیں آرہا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition?
[ PICKTHAL ] Is He then Who createth as him who createth not? Will ye not then remember?
[ SHAKIR ] Is He then Who creates like him who does not create? Do you not then mind?
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 73
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ضُرِبَ مَثَلٌ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ لَنْ يَخْلُقُوا ذُبَابًا وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا لَهُ ۖ وَإِنْ يَسْلُبْهُمُ الذُّبَابُ شَيْئًا لَا يَسْتَنْقِذُوهُ مِنْهُ ۚ ضَعُفَ الطَّالِبُ وَالْمَطْلُوبُ (73
انسانوں تمہارے لئے ایک مثل بیان کی گئی ہے لہذا اسے غور سے سنو-یہ لوگ جنہیں تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر آواز دیتے ہو یہ سب مل بھی جائیں تو ایک مکھی نہیں پیدا کرسکتے ہیں اور اگر مکھی ان سے کوئی چیز چھین لے تو یہ اس سے چھڑا بھی نہیں سکتے ہیں کہ طالب اور مطلوب دونوں ہی کمزور ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition!
[ PICKTHAL ] O mankind! A similitude is coined, so pay ye heed to it: Lo! those on whom ye call beside Allah will never create a fly though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly took something from them, they could not rescue it from it. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought!
[ SHAKIR ] O people! a parable is set forth, therefore listen to it: surely those whom you call upon besides Allah cannot create fly, though they should all gather for it, and should the fly snatch away anything from them, they could not take it back from i weak are the invoker and the invoked.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 71 to 72
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُمْ مِمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَا أَنْعَامًا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَالِكُونَ (71
کیا ان لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ ہم نے ان کے فائدے کے لئے اپنے دست قدرت سے چوپائے پیدا کردیئے ہیں تو اب یہ ان کے مالک کہے جاتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] See they not that it is We Who have created for them - among the things which Our hands have fashioned - cattle, which are under their dominion?-
[ PICKTHAL ] Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners,
[ SHAKIR ] Do they not see that We have created cattle for them, out of what Our hands have wrought, so they are their masters?
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 71 to 72
وَذَلَّلْنَاهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ (72
اور پھر ہم نے ان جانوروں کو رام کردیا ہے تو بعض سے سواری کا کام لیتے ہیں اور بعض کو کھاتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And that We have subjected them to their (use)? of them some do carry them and some they eat:
[ PICKTHAL ] And have subdued them unto them, so that some of them they have for riding, some for food?
[ SHAKIR ] And We have subjected them to them, so some of them they have to ride upon, and some of them they eat.
- Sura: 41 - Fussilat (Explained in detail) Ayat: 53
سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ ۗ أَوَلَمْ يَكْفِ بِرَبِّكَ أَنَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدٌ (53
ہم عنقریب اپنی نشانیوں کو تمام اطراف عالم میں اور خود ان کے نفس کے اندر دکھلائیں گے تاکہ ان پر یہ بات واضح ہوجائے کہ وہ برحق ہے اور کیا پروردگار کے لئے یہ بات کافی نہیں ہے کہ وہ ہر شے کا گواہ اور سب کا دیکھنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Soon will We show them our Signs in the (furthest) regions (of the earth), and in their own souls, until it becomes manifest to them that this is the Truth. Is it not enough that thy Lord doth witness all things?
[ PICKTHAL ] We shall show them Our portents on the horizons and within themselves until it will be manifest unto them that it is the Truth. Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things?
[ SHAKIR ] We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?
- Sura: 42 - ash-Shura (Consultation) Ayat: 49
لِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۚ يَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ إِنَاثًا وَيَهَبُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ الذُّكُورَ (49
بیشک آسمان و زمین کا اختیار صرف اللہ کے ہاتھوں میں ہے وہ جوکچھ چاہتا ہے پیدا کرتا ہے جس کو چاہتا ہے بیٹیاں عطا کرتا ہے اور جس کوچاہتا ہے بیٹے عطاکرتاہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills (and plans). He bestows (children) male or female according to His Will (and Plan),
[ PICKTHAL ] Unto Allah belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth. He createth what He will. He bestoweth female (offspring) upon whom He will, and bestoweth male (offspring) upon whom He will;
[ SHAKIR ] Allah's is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; He creates what He pleases; He grants to whom He pleases daughters and grants to whom He pleases sons.
- Sura: 46 - al-Ahqaf (The Dunes) Ayat: 4
قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُوا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ ۖ ائْتُونِي بِكِتَابٍ مِنْ قَبْلِ هَٰذَا أَوْ أَثَارَةٍ مِنْ عِلْمٍ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (4
تو آپ کہہ دیں کہ کیا تم نے ان لوگوں کو دیکھا ہے جنہیں خدا کو چھوڑ کر پکارتے ہو ذ را مجھے بھی دکھلاؤ کہ انہوں نے زمین میں کیا پیدا کیا ہے یا ان کی آسمان میں کیا شرکت ہے - پھر اگر تم سچے ہو تو اس سے پہلے کی کوئی کتاب یا علم کا کوئی بقیہ ہمارے سامنے پیش کرو
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Do ye see what it is ye invoke besides Allah? Show me what it is they have created on earth, or have they a share in the heavens bring me a book (revealed) before this, or any remnant of knowledge (ye may have), if ye are telling the truth!
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Have ye thought on all that ye invoke beside Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth. Or have they any portion in the heavens? Bring me a scripture before this (Scripture), or some vestige of knowledge (in support of what ye say), if ye are truthful.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Have you considered what you call upon besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth, or have they a share in the heavens? Bring me a book before this or traces of knowledge, if you are truthful.
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 36
أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ (35
کیا یہ بغیر کسی چیز کے ازخود پیدا ہوگئے ہیں یا یہ خود ہی پیدا کرنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?
[ PICKTHAL ] Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators?
[ SHAKIR ] Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators?
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) From Ayat: 35 to 36
أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ (36
یا انہوں نے آسمان و زمین کو پیدا کردیا ہے - حقیقت یہ ہے کہ یہ یقین کرنے والے نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.
[ PICKTHAL ] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing!
[ SHAKIR ] Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty.
- Sura: 52 - at-Tur (The Mount) Ayat: 38
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ (38
یا ان کے پاس کوئی سیڑھی ہے جس کے ذریعہ آسمان کی باتیں سن لیا کرتے ہیں تو ان کا سننے والا کوئی واضح ثبوت لے آئے
[YOUSAF ALI] Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof.
[ PICKTHAL ] Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest!
[ SHAKIR ] Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority.
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ (57
ہم نے تم کو پیدا کیا ہے تو دوبارہ پیدا کرنے کی تصدیق کیوں نہیں کرتے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is We Who have created you: why will ye not witness the Truth?
[ PICKTHAL ] We created you. Will ye then admit the truth?
[ SHAKIR ] We have created you, why do you not then assent?
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تُمْنُونَ (58
کیا تم نے اس نطفہ کو دیکھا ہے جو رحم میں ڈالتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Do ye then see?- The (human Seed) that ye throw out,-
[ PICKTHAL ] Have ye seen that which ye emit?
[ SHAKIR ] Have you considered the seed?
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
أَأَنْتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الْخَالِقُونَ (59
اسے تم پیدا کرتے ہو یا ہم پیدا کرنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Is it ye who create it, or are We the Creators?
[ PICKTHAL ] Do ye create it or are We the Creator?
[ SHAKIR ] Is it you that create it or are We the creators?
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ الْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ (60
ہم نے تمہارے درمیان موت کو مقدر کردیا ہے اور ہم اس بات سے عاجز نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] We have decreed Death to be your common lot, and We are not to be frustrated
[ PICKTHAL ] We mete out death among you, and We are not to be outrun,
[ SHAKIR ] We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome,
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ أَمْثَالَكُمْ وَنُنْشِئَكُمْ فِي مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ (61
کہ تم جیسے اور لوگ پیدا کردیں اور تمہیں اس عالم میں دوبارہ ایجاد کردیں جسے تم جانتے بھی نہیں ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] from changing your Forms and creating you (again) in (forms) that ye know not.
[ PICKTHAL ] That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not.
[ SHAKIR ] In order that We may bring in your place the likes of you and make you grow into what you know not.
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ النَّشْأَةَ الْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (62
اور تم پہلی خلقت کو تو جانتے ہو تو پھر اس میں غور کیوں نہیں کرتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises?
[ PICKTHAL ] And verily ye know the first creation. Why, then, do ye not reflect?
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind?
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
أَفَرَأَيْتُمْ مَا تَحْرُثُونَ (63
اس دا نہ کو بھی دیکھا ہے جو تم زمین میں بوتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] See ye the seed that ye sow in the ground?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have ye seen that which ye cultivate?
[ SHAKIR ] Have you considered what you sow?
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
أَأَنْتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُ أَمْ نَحْنُ الزَّارِعُونَ (64
اسے تم اگاتے ہو یا ہم اگانے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Is it ye that cause it to grow, or are We the Cause?
[ PICKTHAL ] Is it ye who foster it, or are We the Fosterer?
[ SHAKIR ] Is it you that cause it to grow, or are We the causers of growth?
- Sura: 56 - al-Waaqia (The Inevitable) From Ayat: 57 to 65
لَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَاهُ حُطَامًا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ (65
اگر ہم چاہیں تو اسے چور چور بنادیں تو تم باتیں ہی بناتے رہ جاؤ
[YOUSAF ALI] Were it Our Will, We could crumble it to dry powder, and ye would be left in wonderment,
[ PICKTHAL ] If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim:
[ SHAKIR ] If We pleased, We should have certainly made it broken down into pieces, then would you begin tb lament:
- Sura: 67 - al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) Ayat: 30
قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَاؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَنْ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِمَاءٍ مَعِينٍ (30
کہہ دیجئے کہ تمہارا کیا خیال ہے اگر تمہارا سارا پانی زمین کے اندر جذب ہوجائے تو تمہارے لئے چشمہ کا پانی بہا کر کون لائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Have ye thought: If (all) your water were to disappear into the earth, who then could bring you gushing water?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Have you considered if your water should go down, who is it then that will bring you flowing water?
