- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 14

لوگوں کے لئے خواہشاتِ دنیا ، عورتیں ، اولاد ، سونے چاندی کے ڈھیر، تندرست گھوڑے یا چوپائے ، کھیتیاں سب مزیّن اور آراستہ کردی گئی ہیں کہ یہی متاع دنیا ہے اور اللہ کے پاس بہترین انجام ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (To return to).
[ PICKTHAL ] Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode.
[ SHAKIR ] The love of desires, of women and sons and hoarded treasures of gold and silver and well bred horses and cattle and tilth, is made to seem fair to men; this is the provision of the life of this world; and Allah is He with Whom is the good goal (of life).
- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 91
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْ أَحَدِهِمْ مِلْءُ الْأَرْضِ ذَهَبًا وَلَوِ افْتَدَىٰ بِهِ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ نَاصِرِينَ (91
جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کیا اور اسی کفر کی حالت میں مرگئے ان سے ساری زمین بھر کر سونا بھی بطور فدیہ قبول نہیں کیا جائے گا اور ان کے لئے دردناک عذاب ہے اور ان کا کوئی مددگار نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] As to those who reject Faith, and die rejecting,- never would be accepted from any such as much gold as the earth contains, though they should offer it for ransom. For such is (in store) a penalty grievous, and they will find no helpers.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! those who disbelieve, and die in disbelief, the (whole) earth full of gold would not be accepted from such an one if it were offered as a ransom (for his soul). Theirs will be a painful doom and they will have no helpers.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely, those who disbelieve and die while they are unbelievers, the earth full of gold shall not be accepted from one of them, though he should offer to ransom himself with it, these it is who shall have a painful chastisement, and they shall have no helpers.
- Sura: 9 - at-Tawba (The Repentance) Ayat: 34
۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْأَحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (34
"ایمان والو نصارٰی کے بہت سے علمائ اور راہب ,لوگوں کے اموال کو ناجائز طریقہ سے کھاجاتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو راسِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں .... اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا ذخیرہ کرتے ہیں اور اسے راہ هخدا میں خرچ نہیں کرتے پیغمبر,آپ انہیں دردناک عذاب کی بشارت دے دیں"
[YOUSAF ALI] O ye who believe! there are indeed many among the priests and anchorites, who in Falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way of Allah. And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah: announce unto them a most grievous penalty-
[ PICKTHAL ] O ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom,
[ SHAKIR ] O you who believe! most surely many of the doctors of law and the monks eat away the property of men falsely, and turn (them) from Allah's way; and (as for) those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah's way, announce to them a painful chastisement,
- Sura: 18 - al-Kahf (The Cave) Ayat: 31
أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًا مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۚ نِعْمَ الثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا (31
ان کے لئے وہ دائمی جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی انہیں سونے کے کنگنپہنائے جائیں گے اور یہ باریک اور دبیز ریشم کے سبز لباس میں ملبوس اور تختوں پر تکیے لگائے بیٹھے ہوں گے یہی ان کے لئے بہترین ثواب اورحسین ترین منزل ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on!
[ PICKTHAL ] As for such, theirs will be Gardens of Eden, wherein rivers flow beneath them; therein they will be given armlets of gold and will wear green robes of finest silk and gold embroidery, reclining upon throne therein. Blest the reward, and fair the resting-place!
[ SHAKIR ] These it is for whom are gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, ornaments shall be given to them therein of bracelets of gold, and they shall wear green robes of fine silk and thick silk brocade interwoven with gold, reclining therein on raised couches; excellent the recompense and goodly the resting place.
- Sura: 18 - al-Kahf (The Cave) Ayat: 96
آتُونِي زُبَرَ الْحَدِيدِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ الصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ انْفُخُوا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَعَلَهُ نَارًا قَالَ آتُونِي أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًا (96
چند لوہے کی سلیں لے آؤ- یہاں تک کہ جب دونوں پہاڑوں کے برابر ڈھیر ہوگیا تو کہا کہ آگ پھونکو یہاں تک کہ جب اسے بالکل آگ بنادیا تو کہا آؤ اب اس پر تانبا پگھلا کر ڈال دیں
[YOUSAF ALI] "Bring me blocks of iron." At length, when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain-sides, He said, "Blow (with your bellows)" Then, when he had made it (red) as fire, he said: "Bring me, that I may pour over it, molten lead."
[ PICKTHAL ] Give me pieces of iron - till, when he had levelled up (the gap) between the cliffs, he said: Blow! - till, when he had made it a fire, he said: Bring me molten copper to pour thereon.
[ SHAKIR ] Bring me blocks of iron; until when he had filled up the space between the two mountain sides, he said: Blow, until when he had made it (as) fire, he said: Bring me molten brass which I may pour over it.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 21
وَلَهُمْ مَقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ (21
اور ان کے لئے لوہے کے گرز مہیاّ کئے گئے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] In addition there will be maces of iron (to punish) them.
[ PICKTHAL ] And for them are hooked rods of iron.
[ SHAKIR ] And for them are whips of iron.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 23
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ (23
بیشک اللہ صاحبان هایمان اور نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو ان جنتوں میں داخل کرتا ہے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوتی ہیں انہیں ان جنتوں میں سونے کے کنگن اور موتی پہنائے جائیں گے اور ان کا لباس اس جنّت میں ریشم کا لباس ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be allowed armlets of gold, and pearls, and their raiment therein will be silk.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely Allah will make those who believe and do good deeds enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and (with) pearls, and their garments therein shall be of silk.
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) From Ayat: 10 to 11
۞ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ مِنَّا فَضْلًا ۖ يَا جِبَالُ أَوِّبِي مَعَهُ وَالطَّيْرَ ۖ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيدَ (10
اور ہم نے داؤد کو یہ فضل عطا کیا کہ پہاڑو تم ان کے ساتھ تسبیح پروردگار کیا کرو اور پرندوں کو لَسخّر کردیا اور لوہے کو نرم کردیا
[YOUSAF ALI] We bestowed Grace aforetime on David from ourselves: "O ye Mountains! Sing ye back the Praises of Allah with him! and ye birds (also)! And We made the iron soft for him;-
[ PICKTHAL ] And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise! And We made the iron supple unto him,
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We gave to Dawood excellence from Us: O mountains! sing praises with him, and the birds; and We made the iron pliant to him,
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) From Ayat: 10 to 11
أَنِ اعْمَلْ سَابِغَاتٍ وَقَدِّرْ فِي السَّرْدِ ۖ وَاعْمَلُوا صَالِحًا ۖ إِنِّي بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ (11
کہ تم کشادہ اور مکمل زرہیں بناؤ اور کڑیوں کے جوڑنے میں اندازہ کا خیال رکھو اور تم لوگ سب نیک عمل کرو کہ میں تم سب کے اعمال کا دیکھنے والا ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] (Commanding), "Make thou coast of mail, balancing well the rings of chain armour, and work ye righteousness; for be sure I see (clearly) all that ye do."
[ PICKTHAL ] Saying: Make thou long coats of mail and measure the links (thereof). And do ye right. Lo! I am Seer of what ye do.
[ SHAKIR ] Saying: Make ample (coats of mail), and assign a time to the making of coats of mail and do good; surely I am Seeing what you do.
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) Ayat: 12

اور ہم نے سلیمان علیہ السّلام کے ساتھ ہواؤں کو مسخر کردیا کہ ان کی صبح کی رفتار ایک ماہ کی مسافت تھی اور شام کی رفتار بھی ایک ماہ کے برابر تھی اور ہم نے ان کے لئے تانبے کا چشمہ جاری کردیا اور جنّات میں ایسے افراد بنا دیئے جو خدا کی اجازت سے ان کے سامنے کام کرتے تھے اور جس نے ہمارے حکم سے انحراف کیا ہم اسے آتشِ جہّنم کا مزہ چکھائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month's (journey); and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.
[ PICKTHAL ] And unto Solomon (We gave) the wind, whereof the morning course was a month's journey and the evening course a month's journey, and We caused the fount of copper to gush forth for him, and (We gave him) certain of the jinn who worked before him by permission of his Lord. And such of them as deviated from Our command, them We caused to taste the punishment of flaming Fire.
[ SHAKIR ] And (We made) the wind (subservient) to Sulaiman, which made a month's journey in the morning and a month's journey m the evening, and We made a fountain of molten copper to flow out for him, and of the jinn there were those who worked before him by the command of his Lord; and whoever turned aside from Our command from among them, We made him taste of the punishment of burning.
- Sura: 35 - Faatir (The Originator) Ayat: 23
إِنْ أَنْتَ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ (23
آپ تو صرف ڈرانے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Thou art no other than a warner.
[ PICKTHAL ] Thou art but a warner.
[ SHAKIR ] You are naught but a warner.
- Sura: 35 - Faatir (The Originator) Ayat: 27
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ أَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجْنَا بِهِ ثَمَرَاتٍ مُخْتَلِفًا أَلْوَانُهَا ۚ وَمِنَ الْجِبَالِ جُدَدٌ بِيضٌ وَحُمْرٌ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهَا وَغَرَابِيبُ سُودٌ (27
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا نے آسمان سے پانی نازل کیا پھر ہم نے اس سے مختلف رنگ کے پھل پیدا کئے اور پہاڑوں میں بھی مختلف رنگوں کے سفید اور سرخ راستے بنائے اور بعض بالکل سیاہ رنگ تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou not that Allah sends down rain from the sky? With it We then bring out produce of various colours. And in the mountains are tracts white and red, of various shades of colour, and black intense in hue.
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou not seen that Allah causeth water to fall from the sky, and We produce therewith fruit of divers hues; and among the hills are streaks white and red, of divers hues, and (others) raven-black;
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that Allah sends down water from the cloud, then We bring forth therewith fruits of various colors; and in the mountains are streaks, white and red, of various hues and (others) intensely black?
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 35
وَلَوْلَا أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً لَجَعَلْنَا لِمَنْ يَكْفُرُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ (33
اور اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا کہ تمام لوگ ایک ہی قوم ہوجائیں گے تو ہم رحمٰن کا انکار کرنے والوںکے لئے ان کے گھر کی چھتیں اور سیڑھیاں جن پر یہ چڑھتے ہیں سب کو چاند ی کا بنادیتے
[YOUSAF ALI] And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways on which to go up,
[ PICKTHAL ] And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount,
[ SHAKIR ] And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 35
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِئُونَ (34
اور ان کے گھر کے دروازے اور وہ تخت جن پر وہ تکیہ لگا کر بیٹھتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And (silver) doors to their houses, and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,
[ PICKTHAL ] And for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline,
[ SHAKIR ] And the doors of their houses and the couches on which they recline,
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 35
وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِنْ كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ (35
اور سونے کے بھی . لیکن یہ سب صرف زندگانی دنیا کی لّذت کا سامان ہے اور آخرت پروردگار کے نزدیک صرف صاحبانِ تقویٰ کے لئے ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous.
[ PICKTHAL ] And ornaments of gold. Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil.
[ SHAKIR ] And (other) embellishments of gold; and all this is naught but provision of this world's life, and the hereafter is with your Lord only for those who guard (against evil).
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) Ayat: 71
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِصِحَافٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ ۖ وَفِيهَا مَا تَشْتَهِيهِ الْأَنْفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الْأَعْيُنُ ۖ وَأَنْتُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ (71
ان کے گرد سونے کی رکابیوں اور پیالیوں کا دور چلے گا اور وہاں ان کے لئے وہ تمام چیزیں ہوں گی جن کی دل میں خواہش ہو اور جو آنکھوں کو بھلی لگیں اور تم اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] To them will be passed round, dishes and goblets of gold: there will be there all that the souls could desire, all that their ayes could delight in: and ye shall abide therein (for eye).
[ PICKTHAL ] Therein are brought round for them trays of gold and goblets, and therein is all that souls desire and eyes find sweet. And ye are immortal therein.
[ SHAKIR ] There shall be sent round to them golden bowls and drinking-cups and therein shall be what their souls yearn after and (wherein) the eyes shall delight, and you shall abide therein.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) From Ayat: 22 to 23
يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا اللُّؤْلُؤُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ (22
ان دونوں دریاؤں سے موتی اور مونگے برآمد ہوتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Out of them come Pearls and Coral:
[ PICKTHAL ] There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone.
[ SHAKIR ] There come forth from them pearls, both large and small.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) From Ayat: 22 to 23
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ (23
تو تم اپنے رب کی کس کس نعمت کو جھٹلاؤ گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
[ PICKTHAL ] Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
[ SHAKIR ] Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) From Ayat: 58 to 59
كَأَنَّهُنَّ الْيَاقُوتُ وَالْمَرْجَانُ (58
وہ حوریں اس طرح کی ہوں گی جیسے سرخ یاقوت اور مونگے
[YOUSAF ALI] Like unto Rubies and coral.
[ PICKTHAL ] (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone.
[ SHAKIR ] As though they were rubies and pearls.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) From Ayat: 58 to 59
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ (59
پھر تم اپنے پروردگار کی کس کس نعمت کا انکار کرو گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
[ PICKTHAL ] Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
[ SHAKIR ] Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
- Sura: 57 - al-Hadid (The Iron) Ayat: 25
لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (25
بیشک ہم نے اپنے رسولوں کو واضح دلائل کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے اور ان کے ساتھ کتاب اور میزان کو نازل کیا ہے تاکہ لوگ انصاف کے ساتھ قیام کریں اور ہم نے لوہے کو بھی نازل کیا ہے جس میں شدید جنگ کا سامان اور بہت سے دوسرے منافع بھی ہیں اور اس لئے کہ خدا یہ دیکھے کہ کون ہے جو بغیر دیکھے اس کی اور اس کے رسول کی مدد کرتا ہے اور یقینا اللہ بڑا صاحبِ قوت اور صاحبِ عزت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We sent aforetime our messengers with Clear Signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance (of Right and Wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, Unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might (and able to enforce His Will).
[ PICKTHAL ] We verily sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance, that mankind may observe right measure; and He revealed iron, wherein is mighty power and (many) uses for mankind, and that Allah may know him who helpeth Him and His messengers, though unseen. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty.
[ SHAKIR ] Certainly We sent Our messengers with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with equity; and We have made the iron, wherein is great violence and advantages to men, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His messengers in the secret; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.
- Sura: 76 - al-Insaan (Man) From Ayat: 15 to 16
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِآنِيَةٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا (15
ان کے گرد چاندی کے پیالے اور شیشے کے ساغروں کی گردش ہوگی
[YOUSAF ALI] And amongst them will be passed round vessels of silver and goblets of crystal,-
[ PICKTHAL ] Goblets of silver are brought round for them, and beakers (as) of glass
[ SHAKIR ] And there shall be made to go round about them vessels of silver and goblets which are of glass,
- Sura: 76 - al-Insaan (Man) From Ayat: 15 to 16
قَوَارِيرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا (16
