- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 60
۞ وَإِذِ اسْتَسْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوْمِهِ فَقُلْنَا اضْرِبْ بِعَصَاكَ الْحَجَرَ ۖ فَانْفَجَرَتْ مِنْهُ اثْنَتَا عَشْرَةَ عَيْنًا ۖ قَدْ عَلِمَ كُلُّ أُنَاسٍ مَشْرَبَهُمْ ۖ كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا مِنْ رِزْقِ اللَّهِ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا فِي الْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ (60
اور اس موقع کو یاد کرو جب موسٰی علیہ السّلام نے اپنی قوم کے لئے پانی کا مطالبہ کیا تو ہم نے کہا کہ اپنا عصا پتھر پر مارو جس کے نتیجہ میں بارہ چشمے جاری ہو گئے اور سب نے اپنا اپنا گھاٹ پہچان لیا. اب ہم نے کہا کہ من وسلوٰی کھاؤ اور چشمہ کا پانی پیو اور روئے زمین میں فساد نہ پھیلاؤ
[YOUSAF ALI] And remember Moses prayed for water for his people; We said: "Strike the rock with thy staff." Then gushed forth therefrom twelve springs. Each group knew its own place for water. So eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah, and do no evil nor mischief on the (face of the) earth.
[ PICKTHAL ] And when Moses asked for water for his people, We said: Smite with thy staff the rock. And there gushed out therefrom twelve springs (so that) each tribe knew their drinking-place. Eat and drink of that which Allah hath provided, and do not act corruptly, making mischief in the earth.
[ SHAKIR ] And when Musa prayed for drink for his people, We said: Strike the rock with your staff So there gushed from it twelve springs; each tribe knew its drinking place: Eat and drink of the provisions of Allah and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 74
ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءُ ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ (74
پھر تمہارے دل سخت ہوگئے جیسے پتھر یا اس سے بھی کچھ زیادہ سخت کہ پتھروں میں سے تو بعض سے نہریں بھی جاری ہوجاتی ہیں اور بعض شگافتہ ہوجاتے ہیں تو ان سے پانی نکل آتا ہے اور بعض خوفِ خدا سے گر پڑتے ہیں. لیکن اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے غافل نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then, even after that, your hearts were hardened and became as rocks, or worse than rocks, for hardness. For indeed there are rocks from out which rivers gush, and indeed there are rocks which split asunder so that water floweth from them. And indeed there are rocks which fall down for the fear of Allah. Allah is not unaware of what ye do.
[ SHAKIR ] Then your hearts hardened after that, so that they were like rocks, rather worse in hardness; and surely there are some rocks from which streams burst forth, and surely there are some of them which split asunder so water issues out of them, and surely there are some of them which fall down for fear of Allah, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 125
فَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلْإِسْلَامِ ۖ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ أَنْ يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقًا حَرَجًا كَأَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَاءِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللَّهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (125
"پس خدا جسے ہدایت دینا چاہتا ہے اس کے سینے کو اسلام کے لئے کشادہ کردیتا ہے اور جس کو گمراہی میں چھوڑنا چاہتا ہے اس کے سینے کو ایسا تنگ اور دشوار گزار بنادیتا ہے جیسے آسمان کی طرف بلند ہورہا ہو ,وہ اسی طرح بے ایمانوں پر ان کی کثافت کو مسّلط کردیتاہے"
[YOUSAF ALI] Those whom Allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- He maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth Allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe.
[ PICKTHAL ] And whomsoever it is Allah's will to guide, He expandeth his bosom unto the Surrender, and whomsoever it is His Will to send astray, He maketh his bosom close and narrow as if he were engaged in sheer ascent. Thus Allah layeth ignominy upon those who believe not.
[ SHAKIR ] Therefore (for) whomsoever Allah intends that He would guide him aright, He expands his breast for Islam, and (for) whomsoever He intends that He should cause him to err, He makes his breast strait and narrow as though he were ascending upwards; thus does Allah lay uncleanness on those who do not believe.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 143

تو اس کے بعد جب موسٰی علیہ السّلام ہمارا وعدہ پورا کرنے کے لئے آئے اور ان کے رب نے ان سے کلام کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ پروردگار مجھے اپنا جلوہ دکھا دے ارشاد ہوا تم ہرگز مجھے نہیں دیکھ سکتے ہو البتہ پہاڑ کی طرف دیکھو اگر یہ اپنی جگہ پر قائم رہ گیا تو پھر مجھے دیکھ سکتے ہو۔ اس کے بعد جب پہاڑ پر پروردگار کی تجلی ہوئی تو پہاڑ چور چور ہوگیا اور موسٰی علیہ السّلام بیہوش ہوکر گر پڑے پھر جب انہیں ہوش آیا تو کہنے لگے کہ پروردگار تو پاک و پاکیزہ ہے میں تیری بارگاہ میں توبہ کرتا ہوں اور میں سب سے پہلا ایمان لانے والا ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] When Moses came to the place appointed by Us, and his Lord addressed him, He said: "O my Lord! show (Thyself) to me, that I may look upon thee." Allah said: "By no means canst thou see Me (direct); But look upon the mount; if it abide in its place, then shalt thou see Me." When his Lord manifested His glory on the Mount, He made it as dust. And Moses fell down in a swoon. When he recovered his senses he said: "Glory be to Thee! to Thee I turn in repentance, and I am the first to believe."
[ PICKTHAL ] And when Moses came to Our appointed tryst and his Lord had spoken unto him, he said: My Lord! Show me (Thy Self), that I may gaze upon Thee. He said: Thou wilt not see Me, but gaze upon the mountain! If it stand still in its place, then thou wilt see Me. And when his Lord revealed (His) glory to the mountain He sent it crashing down. And Moses fell down senseless. And when he woke he said: Glory unto Thee! I turn unto Thee repentant, and I am the first of (true) believers.
[ SHAKIR ] And when Musa came at Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said: My Lord! show me (Thyself), so that I may look upon Thee. He said: You cannot (bear to) see Me but look at the mountain, if it remains firm in its place, then will you see Me; but when his Lord manifested His glory to the mountain He made it crumble and Musa fell down in a swoon; then when he recovered, he said: Glory be to Thee, I turn to Thee, and I am the first of the believers.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 160

اور ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو یعقوب علیہ السّلام کی بارہ اولاد کے بارہ حصّوں پر تقسیم کردیا اور موسٰی علیہ السّلام کی طرف وحی کی جب ان کی قوم نے پانی کا مطالبہ کیا کہ زمین پر عصا ماردو -انہوں نے عصا مارا تو بارہ چشمے جاری ہوگئے اس طرح کہ ہر گردہ نے اپنے گھاٹ کو پہچان لیا اور ہم نے ان کے سروں پر ابر کا سایہ کیا اور ان پر من و سلوٰی جیسی نعمت نازل کی کہ ہمارے دیئے ہوئے پاکیزہ رزق کو کھاؤ اور ان لوگوں نے مخالفت کرکے ہمارے اوپر ظلم نہیں کیا بلکہ یہ اپنے ہی نفس پر ظلم کر رہے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] We divided them into twelve tribes or nations. We directed Moses by inspiration, when his (thirsty) people asked him for water: "Strike the rock with thy staff": out of it there gushed forth twelve springs: Each group knew its own place for water. We gave them the shade of clouds, and sent down to them manna and quails, (saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for you": (but they rebelled); to Us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls.
[ PICKTHAL ] We divided them into twelve tribes, nations; and We inspired Moses, when his people asked him for water, saying: Smite with thy staff the rock! And there gushed forth therefrom twelve springs, so that each tribe knew their drinking-place. And we caused the white cloud to overshadow them and sent down for them the manna and the quails (saying): Eat of the good things wherewith we have provided you. They wronged Us not, but they were wont to wrong themselves.
[ SHAKIR ] And We divided them into twelve tribes, as nations; and We revealed to Musa when his people asked him for water: Strike the rock with your staff, so outnowed from it twelve springs; each tribe knew its drinking place; and We made the clouds to give shade over them and We sent to them manna and quails: Eat of the good things We have given you. And they did not do Us any harm, but they did injustice to their own souls.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 171
۞ وَإِذْ نَتَقْنَا الْجَبَلَ فَوْقَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُ ظُلَّةٌ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُ وَاقِعٌ بِهِمْ خُذُوا مَا آتَيْنَاكُمْ بِقُوَّةٍ وَاذْكُرُوا مَا فِيهِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ (171
اور اس وقت کو یاد دلِاؤ جب ہم نے پہاڑ کو ایک سائبان کی طرح ان کے سروں پر معلّق کردیا اور انہوں نے گمان کرلیا کہ یہ اب گرنے والا ہے تو ہم نے کہا کہ توریت کو مضبوطی کے ساتھ پکڑو اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے اسے یاد کرو شاید اس طرح متقی اور پرہیزگار بن جاؤ
[YOUSAF ALI] When We shook the Mount over them, as if it had been a canopy, and they thought it was going to fall on them (We said): "Hold firmly to what We have given you, and bring (ever) to remembrance what is therein; perchance ye may fear Allah."
[ PICKTHAL ] And when We shook the Mount above them as it were a covering, and they supposed that it was going to fall upon them (and We said): Hold fast that which We have given you, and remember that which is therein, that ye may ward off (evil).
[ SHAKIR ] And when We shook the mountain over them as if it were a covering overhead, and they thought that it was going to fall down upon them: Take hold of what We have given you with firmness, and be mindful of what is in it, so that you may guard (against evil).
- Sura: 11 - Hud (Hud) Ayat: 82
فَلَمَّا جَاءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ مَنْضُودٍ (82
پھر جب ہمارا عذاب آگیا تو ہم نے زمین کو تہ و بالا کردیا اور ان پر مسلسل کھرنجے دار پتھروں کی بارش کردی
[YOUSAF ALI] When Our Decree issued, We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay, spread, layer on layer,-
[ PICKTHAL ] So when Our commandment came to pass We overthrew (that township) and rained upon it stones of clay, one after another,
[ SHAKIR ] So when Our decree came to pass, We turned them upside down and rained down upon them stones, of what had been decreed, one after another.
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 31
وَلَوْ أَنَّ قُرْآنًا سُيِّرَتْ بِهِ الْجِبَالُ أَوْ قُطِّعَتْ بِهِ الْأَرْضُ أَوْ كُلِّمَ بِهِ الْمَوْتَىٰ ۗ بَلْ لِلَّهِ الْأَمْرُ جَمِيعًا ۗ أَفَلَمْ يَيْأَسِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَنْ لَوْ يَشَاءُ اللَّهُ لَهَدَى النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا ۗ وَلَا يَزَالُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا تُصِيبُهُمْ بِمَا صَنَعُوا قَارِعَةٌ أَوْ تَحُلُّ قَرِيبًا مِنْ دَارِهِمْ حَتَّىٰ يَأْتِيَ وَعْدُ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ (31
اور اگر کوئی قرآن ایسا ہو جس سے پہاڑوں کو اپنی جگہ سے چلایا جاسکے یا زمین طے کی جاسکے یا لَردوں سے کلام کیا جاسکے -تو وہ یہی قرآن ہے- بلکہ تمام امور اللہ کے لئے ہیں تو کیا ایمان والوں پر واضح نہیں ہوا کہ اگر خدا جبرا چاہتا تو سارے انسانوں کو ہدایت دے دیتا اور ان کافروں پر ان کے کرتوت کی بنا پر ہمیشہ کوئی نہ کوئی مصیبت پڑتی رہے گی یا ان کے دیار کے آس پاس مصیبت آتی رہے گی یہاں تک کہ وعدہ الٰہی کا وقت آجائے کہ اللہ اپنے وعدہ کے خلاف نہیں کرتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] If there were a Qur'an with which mountains were moved, or the earth were cloven asunder, or the dead were made to speak, (this would be the one!) But, truly, the command is with Allah in all things! Do not the Believers know, that, had Allah (so) willed, He could have guided all mankind (to the right)? But the Unbelievers,- never will disaster cease to seize them for their (ill) deeds, or to settle close to their homes, until the promise of Allah come to pass, for, verily, Allah will not fail in His promise.
[ PICKTHAL ] Had it been possible for a Lecture to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn asunder, or the dead to speak, (this Qur'an would have done so). Nay, but Allah's is the whole command. Do not those who believe know that, had Allah willed, He could have guided all mankind? As for those who disbelieve, disaster ceaseth not to strike them because of what they do, or it dwelleth near their home until the threat of Allah come to pass. Lo! Allah faileth not to keep the tryst.
[ SHAKIR ] And even if there were a Quran with which the mountains were made to pass away, or the earth were travelled over with it, or the dead were made to speak thereby; nay! the commandment is wholly Allah's, Have not yet those who believe known that if Allah please He would certainly guide all the people? And (as for) those who disbelieve, there will not cease to afflict them because of what they do a repelling calamity, or it will alight close by their abodes, until the promise of Allah comes about; surely Allah will not fail in (His) promise.
- Sura: 14 - Ibrahim (Abraham) Ayat: 46
وَقَدْ مَكَرُوا مَكْرَهُمْ وَعِنْدَ اللَّهِ مَكْرُهُمْ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَكْرُهُمْ لِتَزُولَ مِنْهُ الْجِبَالُ (46
اور ان لوگوں نے اپنا سارا مکر صرف کردیا اور خدا کی نگاہ میں ان کا سارا مکر ہے اگرچہ ان کا مکر ایسا تھا کہ اس سے پہاڑ بھی اپنی جگہ سے ہٹ جائیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Mighty indeed were the plots which they made, but their plots were (well) within the sight of Allah, even though they were such as to shake the hills!
[ PICKTHAL ] Verily they have plotted their plot, and their plot is with Allah, though their plot were one whereby the mountains should be moved.
[ SHAKIR ] And they have indeed planned their plan, but their plan is with Allah, though their plan was such that the mountains should pass away thereby.
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 73 to 75
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ (73
نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ صبح ہوتے ہی انہیں ایک چیخ نے اپنی گرفت میں لے لیا
[YOUSAF ALI] But the (mighty) Blast overtook them before morning,
[ PICKTHAL ] Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise.
[ SHAKIR ] So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise;
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 73 to 75
فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ (74
پھر ہم نے انہیں تہ و بالا کردیا اور ان کے اوپر کھڑنجے اور پتھروں کی بارش کردی
[YOUSAF ALI] And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay.
[ PICKTHAL ] And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay.
[ SHAKIR ] Thus did We turn it upside down, and rained down upon them stones of what had been decreed.
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 73 to 75
إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ (75
ان باتوں میں صاحبان هہوش کے لئے بڑی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely in this are signs for those who examine.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 15
وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَأَنْهَارًا وَسُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ (15
اور اس نے زمین میں پہاڑوں کے لنگر ڈال دئے تاکہ تمہیں لے کر اپنی جگہ سے ہٹ نہ جائے اور نہریں اور راستے بنادئے تاکہ منزل سفر میں ہدایت پاسکو
[YOUSAF ALI] And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves;
[ PICKTHAL ] And He hath cast into the earth firm hills that it quake not with you, and streams and roads that ye may find a way.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright,
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) Ayat: 44
تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ السَّبْعُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِنْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا (44
ساتوں آسمان اور زمین اور جو کچھ ان کے درمیان ہے سب اس کی تسبیح کررہے ہیں اور کوئی شے ایسی نہیں ہے جو اس کی تسبیح نہ کرتی ہو یہ اور بات ہے کہ تم ان کی تسبیح کو نہیں سمجھتے ہو. پروردگار بہت برداشت کرنے والا اور درگذر کرنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein, declare His glory: there is not a thing but celebrates His praise; And yet ye understand not how they declare His glory! Verily He is Oft-Forbear, Most Forgiving!
[ PICKTHAL ] The seven heavens and the earth and all that is therein praise Him, and there is not a thing but hymneth His praise; but ye understand not their praise. Lo! He is ever Clement, Forgiving.
[ SHAKIR ] The seven heavens declare His glory and the earth (too), and those who are in them; and there is not a single thing but glorifies Him with His praise, but you do not understand their glorification; surely He is Forbearing, Forgiving.
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) From Ayat: 50 to 51
۞ قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا (50
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم پتھر یا لوہا بن جاؤ
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "(Nay!) be ye stones or iron,
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Be ye stones or iron
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Become stones or iron,
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) From Ayat: 50 to 51
أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا ۖ قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ ۖ قُلْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا (51
یا تمہارے خیال میں جو اس سے بڑی مخلوق ہوسکتی ہو وہ بن جاؤ پس عنقریب یہ لوگ کہیں گے کہ ہمیں کون دوبارہ واپس لاسکتا ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ جس نے تمہیں پہلی مرتبہ پیدا کیا ہے پھر یہ لوگ استہزائ میں سر ہلائیں گے اور کہیں گے کہ یہ سب کب ہوگا تو کہہ دیجئے کہ شاید قریب ہی ہوجائے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Or created matter which, in your minds, is hardest (to be raised up),- (Yet shall ye be raised up)!" then will they say: "Who will cause us to return?" Say: "He who created you first!" Then will they wag their heads towards thee, and say, "When will that be?" Say, "May be it will be quite soon!
[ PICKTHAL ] Or some created thing that is yet greater in your thoughts! Then they will say: Who shall bring us back (to life). Say: He Who created you at the first. Then will they shake their heads at thee, and say: When will it be? Say: It will perhaps be soon;
[ SHAKIR ] Or some other creature of those which are too hard (to receive life) in your minds! But they will say: Who will return us? Say: Who created you at first. Still they will shake their heads at you and say: When will it be? Say: Maybe it has drawn nigh.
- Sura: 19 - Maryam (Mary) Ayat: 90
تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنْشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّا (90
قریب ہے کہ اس سے آسمان پھٹ پڑے اور زمین شگافتہ ہوجائے اور پہاڑ ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہوکر گر پڑیں
[YOUSAF ALI] At it the skies are ready to burst, the earth to split asunder, and the mountains to fall down in utter ruin,
[ PICKTHAL ] Whereby almost the heavens are torn, and the earth is split asunder and the mountains fall in ruins,
[ SHAKIR ] The heavens may almost be rent thereat, and the earth cleave asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces,
- Sura: 19 - Maryam (Mary) Ayat: 93
إِنْ كُلُّ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا آتِي الرَّحْمَٰنِ عَبْدًا (93
زمین و آسمان میں کوئی ایسا نہیں ہے جو اس کی بارگاہ میں بندہ بن کر حاضر ہونے والا نہ ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Not one of the beings in the heavens and the earth but must come to (Allah) Most Gracious as a servant.
[ PICKTHAL ] There is none in the heavens and the earth but cometh unto the Beneficent as a slave.
[ SHAKIR ] There is no one in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Beneficent Allah as a servant.
- Sura: 20 - Taa-haa (Taa-haa) From Ayat: 105 to 107
وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنْسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسْفًا (105
اور یہ لوگ آپ سے پہاڑوں کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہیں کہ قیامت میں ان کا کیا ہوگا تو کہہ دیجئے کہ میرا پروردگار انہیں ریزہ ریزہ کرکے اڑادے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] They ask thee concerning the Mountains: say, "My Lord will uproot them and scatter them as dust;
[ PICKTHAL ] They will ask thee of the mountains (on that day). Say: My Lord will break them into scattered dust.
[ SHAKIR ] And they ask you about the mountains. Say: My Lord will carry them away from the roots.
- Sura: 20 - Taa-haa (Taa-haa) From Ayat: 105 to 107
فَيَذَرُهَا قَاعًا صَفْصَفًا (106
پھر زمین کو چٹیل میدان بنادے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] "He will leave them as plains smooth and level;
[ PICKTHAL ] And leave it as an empty plain,
[ SHAKIR ] Then leave it a plain, smooth level
- Sura: 20 - Taa-haa (Taa-haa) From Ayat: 105 to 107
لَا تَرَىٰ فِيهَا عِوَجًا وَلَا أَمْتًا (107
جس میں تم کسی طرح کی کجی ناہمواری نہ دیکھو گے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Nothing crooked or curved wilt thou see in their place."
[ PICKTHAL ] Wherein thou seest neither curve nor ruggedness.
[ SHAKIR ] You shall not see therein any crookedness or unevenness.
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 44
بَلْ مَتَّعْنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَآبَاءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ طَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْعُمُرُ ۗ أَفَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّا نَأْتِي الْأَرْضَ نَنْقُصُهَا مِنْ أَطْرَافِهَا ۚ أَفَهُمُ الْغَالِبُونَ (44
بلکہ ہم نے انہیں اور ان کے باپ دادا کو تھوڑی سی لّذت دنیا دے دی ہے یہاں تک کہ ان کا زمانہ طویل ہوگیا تو کیا یہ نہیں دیکھتے ہیں کہ ہم برابر زمین کی طرف آتے جارہے ہیں اور اس کو چاروں طرف سے کم کرتے جارہے ہیں کیا اس کے بعد بھی یہ ہم پر غالب آجانے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Nay, We gave the good things of this life to these men and their fathers until the period grew long for them; See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? Is it then they who will win?
[ PICKTHAL ] Nay, but We gave these and their fathers ease until life grew long for them. See they not how we aim to the land, reducing it of its outlying parts? Can they then be the victors?
[ SHAKIR ] Nay, We gave provision to these and their fathers until life was prolonged to them. Do they not then see that We are visiting the land, curtailing it of its sides? Shall they then prevail?
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 79

پھر ہم نے سلیمان علیہ السّلام کو صحیح فیصلہ سمجھا دیا اور ہم نے سب کو قوت فیصلہ اور علم عطا کیا تھا اور داؤد علیہ السّلام کے ساتھ پہاڑوں کو مسخؔر کردیا تھا کہ وہ تسبیح پروردگار کریں اور طیور کو بھی مسخّر کردیا تھا اور ہم ایسے کام کرتے رہتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] To Solomon We inspired the (right) understanding of the matter: to each (of them) We gave Judgment and Knowledge; it was Our power that made the hills and the birds celebrate Our praises, with David: it was We Who did (all these things).
[ PICKTHAL ] And We made Solomon to understand (the case); and unto each of them We gave judgment and knowledge. And we subdued the hills and the birds to hymn (His) praise along with David. We were the doers (thereof).
[ SHAKIR ] So We made Sulaiman to understand it; and to each one We gave wisdom and knowledge; and We made the mountains, and the birds to celebrate Our praise with Dawood; and We were the doers.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 65
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِأَمْرِهِ وَيُمْسِكُ السَّمَاءَ أَنْ تَقَعَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِالنَّاسِ لَرَءُوفٌ رَحِيمٌ (65
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے تمہارے لئے زمین کی تمام چیزوں کو لَسّخر کردیا ہے اور کشتیاں بھی دریا میں اسی کے حکم سے چلتی ہیں اور وہی آسمانوں کو روکے ہوئے ہے کہ اس کی اجازت کے بغیر زمین پر نہیں گر سکتا ہے-اللہ اپنے بندوں پر بڑا شفیق اور مہربان ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou not that Allah has made subject to you (men) all that is on the earth, and the ships that sail through the sea by His Command? He withholds the sky (rain) from failing on the earth except by His leave: for Allah is Most Kind and Most Merciful to man.
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou not seen how Allah hath made all that is in the earth subservient unto you? And the ship runneth upon the sea by His command, and He holdeth back the heaven from falling on the earth unless by His leave. Lo! Allah is, for mankind, Full of Pity, Merciful.
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that Allah has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the earth and the ships running in the sea by His command? And He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except with His permission; most surely Allah is Compassionate, Merciful to men.
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) Ayat: 61
أَمَّنْ جَعَلَ الْأَرْضَ قَرَارًا وَجَعَلَ خِلَالَهَا أَنْهَارًا وَجَعَلَ لَهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ حَاجِزًا ۗ أَإِلَٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (61
بھلا وہ کون ہے جس نے زمین کو قرار کی جگہ بنایا اور پھر اس کے درمیان نہریں جاری کیں اور اس کے لئے پہاڑ بنائے اور دو دریاؤں کے درمیان حد فاصل قرار دی کیا خدا کے ساتھ کوئی اور بھی خدا ہے ہرگز نہیں اصل یہ ہے کہ ان کی اکثریت جاہل ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not.
[ PICKTHAL ] Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not!
[ SHAKIR ] Or, Who made the earth a restingplace, and made in it rivers, and raised on it mountains and placed between the two seas a barrier. Is there a god with Allah? Nay! most of them do not know!
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) Ayat: 88
وَتَرَى الْجِبَالَ تَحْسَبُهَا جَامِدَةً وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحَابِ ۚ صُنْعَ اللَّهِ الَّذِي أَتْقَنَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۚ إِنَّهُ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَفْعَلُونَ (88
اور تم دیکھو گے تو سمجھو گے کہ جیسے پہاڑ اپنی جگہ پر جامد ہیں حالانکہ یہ بادلوں کی طرح چل رہے ہوں گے .یہ اس خدا کی صنعت ہے جس نے ہر چیز کو محکم بنایا ہے اور وہ تمہارے تمام اعمال سے باخبر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do.
[ PICKTHAL ] And thou seest the hills thou deemest solid flying with the flight of clouds: the doing of Allah Who perfecteth all things. Lo! He is Informed of what ye do.
[ SHAKIR ] And you see the mountains, you think them to be solid, and they shall pass away as the passing away of the cloud-- the handiwork of Allah Who has made every thing thoroughly; surely He is Aware of what you do.
- Sura: 29 - al-`Ankaboot (The Spider) Ayat: 40
فَكُلًّا أَخَذْنَا بِذَنْبِهِ ۖ فَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ حَاصِبًا وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَخَذَتْهُ الصَّيْحَةُ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ خَسَفْنَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ وَمِنْهُمْ مَنْ أَغْرَقْنَا ۚ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ (40
پھر ہم نے ہر ایک کو اس کے گناہ میں گرفتار کرلیا کسی پر آسمان سے پتھروں کی بارش کردی کسی کو ایک آسمانی چیخ نے پکڑ لیا اور کسی کو زمین میں دھنسا دیا اور کسی کو پانی میں غرق کردیا اور اللہ کسی پر ظلم کرنے والا نہیں ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ خود اپنے نفس پر ظلم کررہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls.
[ PICKTHAL ] So We took each one in his sin; of them was he on whom We sent a hurricane, and of them was he who was overtaken by the (Awful) Cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow, and of them was he whom We drowned. It was not for Allah to wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
[ SHAKIR ] So each We punished for his sin; of them was he on whom We sent down a violent storm, and of them was he whom the rumbling overtook, and of them was he whom We made to be swallowed up by the earth, and of them was he whom We drowned; and it did not beseem Allah that He should be unjust to them, but they were unjust to their own souls.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) Ayat: 10
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ (10
اسی نے آسمانوں کو بغیر ستون کے پیدا کیا ہے تم دیکھ رہے ہو اور زمین میں بڑے بڑے پہاڑ ڈال دیئے ہیں کہ تم کو لے کر جگہ سے ہٹنے نہ پائے اور ہر طرح کے جانور پھیلادیئے ہیں اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا ہے اور اس کے ذریعہ زمین میں ہر قسم کا نفیس جوڑا پیدا کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs.
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein.
[ SHAKIR ] He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) Ayat: 20
أَلَمْ تَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَأَسْبَغَ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعَمَهُ ظَاهِرَةً وَبَاطِنَةً ۗ وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يُجَادِلُ فِي اللَّهِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ وَلَا هُدًى وَلَا كِتَابٍ مُنِيرٍ (20
کیا تم لوگوں نے نہیں دیکھا کہ اللہ نے زمین و آسمان کی تمام چیزوں کو تمہارے لئے لَسخّر کردیا ہے اور تمہارے لئے تمام ظاہری اور باطنی نعمتوں کو مکمل کردیا ہے اور لوگوں میں بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جو علم و ہدایت اور روشن کتاب کے بغیر بھی خدا کے بارے میں بحث کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Do ye not see that Allah has subjected to your (use) all things in the heavens and on earth, and has made his bounties flow to you in exceeding measure, (both) seen and unseen? Yet there are among men those who dispute about Allah, without knowledge and without guidance, and without a Book to enlighten them!
[ PICKTHAL ] See ye not how Allah hath made serviceable unto you whatsoever is in the skies and whatsoever is in the earth and hath loaded you with His favours both without and within? Yet of mankind is he who disputeth concerning Allah, without knowledge or guidance or a scripture giving light.
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that Allah has made what is in the heavens and what is in the earth subservient to you, and made complete to you His favors outwardly and inwardly? And among men is he who disputes in respect of Allah though having no knowledge nor guidance, nor a book giving light.
- Sura: 33 - al-Ahzaab (The Clans) Ayat: 72
إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَنْ يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْإِنْسَانُ ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا (72
بیشک ہم نے امانت کو آسمانً زمین اور پہاڑ سب کے سامنے پیش کیا اور سب نے اس کے اٹھانے سے انکار کیا اور خوف ظاہر کیا بس انسان نے اس بوجھ کو اٹھالیا کہ انسان اپنے حق میں ظالم اور نادان ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains; but they refused to undertake it, being afraid thereof: but man undertook it;- He was indeed unjust and foolish;-
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! We offered the trust unto the heavens and the earth and the hills, but they shrank from bearing it and were afraid of it. And man assumed it. Lo! he hath proved a tyrant and a fool.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they refused to be unfaithful to it and feared from it, and man has turned unfaithful to it; surely he is unjust, ignorant;
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) Ayat: 10
۞ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ مِنَّا فَضْلًا ۖ يَا جِبَالُ أَوِّبِي مَعَهُ وَالطَّيْرَ ۖ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيدَ (10
اور ہم نے داؤد کو یہ فضل عطا کیا کہ پہاڑو تم ان کے ساتھ تسبیح پروردگار کیا کرو اور پرندوں کو لَسخّر کردیا اور لوہے کو نرم کردیا
[YOUSAF ALI] We bestowed Grace aforetime on David from ourselves: "O ye Mountains! Sing ye back the Praises of Allah with him! and ye birds (also)! And We made the iron soft for him;-
[ PICKTHAL ] And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise! And We made the iron supple unto him,
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We gave to Dawood excellence from Us: O mountains! sing praises with him, and the birds; and We made the iron pliant to him,
- Sura: 38 - Saad (The letter 'saad') Ayat: 18
إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا الْجِبَالَ مَعَهُ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِشْرَاقِ (18
ہم نے ان کے لئے پہاڑوں کو لَسّخر کردیا تھا کہ ان کے ساتھ صبح و شام تسبیح پروردگار کریں
[YOUSAF ALI] It was We that made the hills declare, in unison with him, Our Praises, at eventide and at break of day,
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! We subdued the hills to hymn the praises (of their Lord) with him at nightfall and sunrise,
[ SHAKIR ] Surely We made the mountains to sing the glory (of Allah) in unison with him at the evening and the sunrise,
- Sura: 45 - al-Jaathiya (Crouching) Ayat: 13
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (13
اور اسی نے تمہارے لئے زمین و آسمان کی تمام چیزوں کو لَسّخر کردیا ہے بیشمَ اس میں غور و فکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, all, from Himself; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) From Ayat: 32 to 33
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ (32
انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمیں ایک مجرم قوم کی طرف بھیجا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;-
[ PICKTHAL ] They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk,
[ SHAKIR ] They said: Surely we are sent to a guilty people,
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) From Ayat: 32 to 33
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ (33
تاکہ ان کے اوپر مٹی کے کھرنجے دار پتھر برسائیں
[YOUSAF ALI] "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone),
[ PICKTHAL ] That we may send upon them stones of clay,
[ SHAKIR ] That we may send down upon them stone of clay,
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) Ayat: 48
وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ (48
اور زمین کو ہم نے فرش کیا ہے تو ہم بہترین ہموار کرنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out!
[ PICKTHAL ] And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)!
[ SHAKIR ] And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out.
- Sura: 54 - al-Qamar (The Moon) Ayat: 12
وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَىٰ أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ (12
اور زمین سے بھی چشمے جاری کردیئے اور پھر دونوں پانی ایک خاص مقررہ مقصد کے لئے باہم مل گئے
[YOUSAF ALI] And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs, so the waters met (and rose) to the extent decreed.
[ PICKTHAL ] And caused the earth to gush forth springs, so that the waters met for a predestined purpose.
[ SHAKIR ] And We made water to flow forth in the land in springs, so the water gathered together according to a measure already ordained.
- Sura: 57 - al-Hadid (The Iron) Ayat: 5
لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ (5
آسمان و زمین کا ملک اسی کے لئے ہے اور تمام امور کی بازگشت اسی کی طرف ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah.
[ PICKTHAL ] His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and unto Allah (all) things are brought back.
[ SHAKIR ] His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and to Allah are (all) affairs returned.
- Sura: 59 - al-Hashr (The Exile) Ayat: 21
لَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍ لَرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُتَصَدِّعًا مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (21
ہم اگر اس قرآن کو کسی پہاڑ پر نازل کردیتے تو تم دیکھتے کہ پہاڑ خورِ خدا سے لرزاں اور ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہوا جارہا ہے اور ہم ان مثالوں کو انسانوں کے لئے اس لئے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ شاید وہ کچھ غور و فکر کرسکیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] If We had caused this Qur'an to descend upon a mountain, thou (O Muhammad) verily hadst seen it humbled, rent asunder by the fear of Allah. Such similitudes coin We for mankind that haply they may reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] Had We sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would certainly have seen it falling down, splitting asunder because of the fear of Allah, and We set forth these parables to men that they may reflect.
- Sura: 66 - at-Tahrim (The Prohibition) Ayat: 6
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ عَلَيْهَا مَلَائِكَةٌ غِلَاظٌ شِدَادٌ لَا يَعْصُونَ اللَّهَ مَا أَمَرَهُمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ (6
ایمان والو اپنے نفس اور اپنے اہل کو اس آگ سے بچاؤ جس کا ایندھن انسان اور پتھر ہوں گے جس پر وہ ملائکہ معین ہوں گے جو سخت مزاج اور تندوتیز ہیں اور خدا کے حکم کی مخالفت نہیں کرتے ہیں اور جو حکم دیا جاتا ہے اسی پر عمل کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.
[ PICKTHAL ] O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded.
[ SHAKIR ] O you who believe! save yourselves and your families from a fire whose fuel is men and stones; over it are angels stern and strong, they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them, and do as they are commanded.
- Sura: 67 - al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) Ayat: 15
هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ ذَلُولًا فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِنْ رِزْقِهِ ۖ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ (15
اسی نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو نرم بنادیا ہے کہ اس کے اطراف میں چلو اور رزق خدا تلاش کرو پھر اسی کی طرف قبروں سے اٹھ کر جانا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who hath made the earth subservient unto you, so Walk in the paths thereof and eat of His providence. And unto Him will be the resurrection (of the dead).
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who made the earth smooth for you, therefore go about in the spacious sides thereof, and eat of His sustenance, and to Him is the return after death.
- Sura: 67 - al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) Ayat: 16
أَأَمِنْتُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ (16
کیا تم آسمان میں حکومت کرنے والے کی طرف سے مطمئن ہوگئے کہ وہ تم کو زمین میں دھنسا دے اور وہ تمہیں گردش ہی دیتی رہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do ye feel secure that He Who is in heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have ye taken security from Him Who is in the heaven that He will not cause the earth to swallow you when lo! it is convulsed?
[ SHAKIR ] Are you secure of those in the heaven that He should not make the earth to swallow you up? Then lo! it shall be in a state of commotion.
- Sura: 70 - al-Ma`aarij (The Ascending Stairways) From Ayat: 8 to 9
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ (8
جس دن آسمان پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کے مانند ہوجائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] The Day that the sky will be like molten brass,
[ PICKTHAL ] The day when the sky will become as molten copper,
[ SHAKIR ] On the day when the heaven shall be as molten copper
- Sura: 70 - al-Ma`aarij (The Ascending Stairways) From Ayat: 8 to 9
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ (9
اور پہاڑ دھنکے ہوئے اون جیسے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the mountains will be like wool,
[ PICKTHAL ] And the hills become as flakes of wool,
[ SHAKIR ] And the mountains shall be as tufts of wool
- Sura: 71 - Nooh (Nooh) From Ayat: 19 to 20
وَاللَّهُ جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ بِسَاطًا (19
اور اللہ ہی نے تمہارے لئے زمین کو فرش بنادیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "'And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out),
[ PICKTHAL ] And Allah hath made the earth a wide expanse for you
[ SHAKIR ] And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse,
- Sura: 71 - Nooh (Nooh) From Ayat: 19 to 20
لِتَسْلُكُوا مِنْهَا سُبُلًا فِجَاجًا (20
تاکہ تم اس میں مختلف کشادہ راستوں پر چلو
[YOUSAF ALI] "'That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.'"
[ PICKTHAL ] That ye may thread the valley-ways thereof.
[ SHAKIR ] That you may go along therein in wide paths.
- Sura: 78 - an-Naba (The Announcement) From Ayat: 6 to 7
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا (6
کیا ہم نے زمین کا فرش نہیں بنایا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse,
[ PICKTHAL ] Have We not made the earth an expanse,
[ SHAKIR ] Have We not made the earth an even expanse?
- Sura: 78 - an-Naba (The Announcement) From Ayat: 6 to 7
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا (7
اورپہاڑوں کی میخیں نہیں نصب کی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And the mountains as pegs?
[ PICKTHAL ] And the high hills bulwarks?
[ SHAKIR ] And the mountains as projections (thereon)?
- Sura: 79 - an-Naazi`aat (Those who drag forth) From Ayat: 30 to 33
وَالْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ دَحَاهَا (30
اس کے بعد زمین کا فرش بچھایا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);
[ PICKTHAL ] And after that He spread the earth,
[ SHAKIR ] And the earth, He expanded it after that.
- Sura: 79 - an-Naazi`aat (Those who drag forth) From Ayat: 30 to 33
أَخْرَجَ مِنْهَا مَاءَهَا وَمَرْعَاهَا (31
اس میں سے پانی اور چارہ نکالا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;
[ PICKTHAL ] And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof,
[ SHAKIR ] He brought forth from it its water and its pasturage.
- Sura: 79 - an-Naazi`aat (Those who drag forth) From Ayat: 30 to 33
وَالْجِبَالَ أَرْسَاهَا (32
اور پہاڑوں کو گاڑ دیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;-
[ PICKTHAL ] And He made fast the hills,
[ SHAKIR ] And the mountains, He made them firm,
- Sura: 79 - an-Naazi`aat (Those who drag forth) From Ayat: 30 to 33
مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ (33
یہ سب تمہارے اور جانوروں کے لئے ایک سرمایہ ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] For use and convenience to you and your cattle.
[ PICKTHAL ] A provision for you and for your cattle.
[ SHAKIR ] A provision for you and for your cattle.
- Sura: 80 - `Abasa (He frowned) From Ayat: 1 to 3
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ عَبَسَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ (1
اس نے منھ بسو رلیا اور پیٹھ پھیرلی
[YOUSAF ALI] (The Prophet) frowned and turned away,
[ PICKTHAL ] He frowned and turned away
[ SHAKIR ] He frowned and turned (his) back,
- Sura: 80 - `Abasa (He frowned) From Ayat: 1 to 3
أَنْ جَاءَهُ الْأَعْمَىٰ (2
کہ ان کے پاس ایک نابیناآگیا
[YOUSAF ALI] Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting).
[ PICKTHAL ] Because the blind man came unto him.
[ SHAKIR ] Because there came to him the blind man.
- Sura: 80 - `Abasa (He frowned) From Ayat: 1 to 3
وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكَّىٰ (3
اور تمھیں کیا معلوم شاید وہ پاکیزہ نفس ہوجاتا
[YOUSAF ALI] But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?-
[ PICKTHAL ] What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace)
[ SHAKIR ] And what would make you know that he would purify himself,
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 19 to 20
وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ (19
اور پہاڑ کو کس طرح نصب کیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
[ PICKTHAL ] And the hills, how they are set up?
[ SHAKIR ] And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed,
- Sura: 88 - al-Ghaashiya (The Overwhelming) From Ayat: 19 to 20
وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ (20
اور زمین کو کس طرح بچھایا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And at the Earth, how it is spread out?
[ PICKTHAL ] And the earth, how it is spread?
[ SHAKIR ] And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse?
- Sura: 105 - al-Fil (The Elephant) From Ayat: 3 to 4
وَأَرْسَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ طَيْرًا أَبَابِيلَ (3
اور ان پر اڑتی ہوئی ابابیل کو بھیج دیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And He sent against them Flights of Birds,
[ PICKTHAL ] And send against them swarms of flying creatures,
[ SHAKIR ] And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks,
- Sura: 105 - al-Fil (The Elephant) From Ayat: 3 to 4
تَرْمِيهِمْ بِحِجَارَةٍ مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ (4
جو انہیں کھرنجوں کی کنکریاں ماررہی تھیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Striking them with stones of baked clay.
[ PICKTHAL ] Which pelted them with stones of baked clay,
[ SHAKIR ] Casting against them stones of baked clay,
