- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9

یہ وہ کتاب ہے جس میں کسی طرح کے شک و شبہ کی گنجائش نہیں ہے. یہ صاحبانِ تقویٰ اور پرہیزگار لوگوں کے لئے مجسّم ہدایت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah;
[ PICKTHAL ] This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off (evil).
[ SHAKIR ] This Book, there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who guard (against evil).
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9
الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ (3
جو غیب پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں پابندی سے پورے اہتمام کے ساتھ نماز ادا کرتے ہیں اور جو کچھ ہم نے رزق دیا ہے اس میں سے ہماری راہ میں خرچ بھی کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them;
[ PICKTHAL ] Who believe in the Unseen, and establish worship, and spend of that We have bestowed upon them;
[ SHAKIR ] Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what We have given them.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9
وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ وَبِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ (4
وہ ان تمام باتوں پر بھی ایمان رکھتے ہیں جنہیں (اے رسولؐ) ہم نے آپ پر نازل کیا ہے اور جو آپ سے پہلے نازل کی گئی ہیں اور آخرت پر بھی یقین رکھتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter.
[ PICKTHAL ] And who believe in that which is revealed unto thee (Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and are certain of the Hereafter.
[ SHAKIR ] And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are sure of the hereafter.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9
أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ (5
یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو اپنے پروردگار کی طرف سے ہدایت کے حامل ہیں اور فلاح یافتہ اور کامیاب ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper.
[ PICKTHAL ] These depend on guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.
[ SHAKIR ] These are on a right course from their Lord and these it is that shall be successful.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَأَنْذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنْذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (6
اے رسول! جن لوگوں نے کفر اختیار کرلیا ہے ان کے لئے سب برابر ہے آپ انہیں ڈرائیں یا نہ ڈرائیں یہ ایمان لانے والے نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] As to those who reject Faith, it is the same to them whether thou warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.
[ PICKTHAL ] As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is all one for them; they believe not.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe.

خدا نے ان کے دلوں اور کانوں پر گویا مُہر لگا دی ہے کہ نہ کچھ سنتے ہیں اور نہ سمجھتے ہیں اور آنکھوں پر بھی پردے پڑ گئے ہیں۔ ان کے واسطے آخرت میں عذابِ عظیم ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur).
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah hath sealed their hearing and their hearts, and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be an awful doom.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing and there is a covering over their eyes, and there is a great punishment for them.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَا هُمْ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (8
کچھ لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو یہ کہتے ہیں کہ ہم خدا اور آخرت پر ایمان لائے ہیں حالانکہ وہ صاحب ایمان نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of mankind are some who say: We believe in Allah and the Last Day, when they believe not.
[ SHAKIR ] And there are some people who say: We believe in Allah and the last day; and they are not at all believers.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 2 to 9
يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ (9
یہ خدا اور صاحبان ایمان کو دھوکہ دینا چاہتے ہیں حالانکہ اپنے ہی کو دھوکہ دے رہے ہیں اور سمجھتے بھی نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realise (it) not!
[ PICKTHAL ] They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves; but they perceive not.
[ SHAKIR ] They desire to deceive Allah and those who believe, and they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 29
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَسَوَّاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ ۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (29
وہ خدا وہ ہے جس نے زمین کے تمام ذخیروں کو تم ہی لوگوں کے لئے پیدا کیا ہے. اس کے بعد اس نے آسمان کا رخ کیا تو سات مستحکم آسمان بنا دیئے اور وہ ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth. Then turned He to the heaven, and fashioned it as seven heavens. And He is knower of all things.
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who created for you all that is in the earth, and He directed Himself to the heaven, so He made them complete seven heavens, and He knows all things.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 164

بیشک زمین و آسمان کی خلقت روز و شب کی رفت و آمد۔ ان کشتیوں میں جو دریاؤں میں لوگوں کے فائدہ کے لئے چلتی ہیں اور اس پانی میں جسے خدا نے آسمان سے نازل کرکے اس کے ذریعہ مردہ زمینوں کو زندہ کردیا ہے اور اس میں طرح طرح کے چوپائے پھیلا دیئے ہیں اور ہواؤں کے چلانے میں اور آسمان و زمین کے درمیان مسخّر کئے جانے والے بادل میں صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے اللہ کی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of night and day, and the ships which run upon the sea with that which is of use to men, and the water which Allah sendeth down from the sky, thereby reviving the earth after its death, and dispersing all kinds of beasts therein, and (in) the ordinance of the winds, and the clouds obedient between heaven and earth: are signs (of Allah's Sovereignty) for people who have sense.
[ SHAKIR ] Most surely in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day, and the ships that run in the sea with that which profits men, and the water that Allah sends down from the cloud, then gives life with it to the earth after its death and spreads in it all (kinds of) animals, and the changing of the winds and the clouds made subservient between the heaven and the earth, there are signs for a people who understand.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 255

اللہ جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے زندہ بھی ہے اور اسی سے کِل کائنات قائم ہے اسے نہ نیند آتی ہے نہ اُونگھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کا ہے۔ کون ہے جو اس کی بارگاہ میں اس کی اجازت کے بغیر سفارش کرسکے۔ وہ جو کچھ ان کے سامنے ہے اور جو پسِ پشت ہے سب کو جانتا ہے اور یہ اس کے علم کے ایک حصہ کا بھی احاطہ نہیں کرسکتے مگر وہ جس قدر چاہے۔ اس کی کرسی علم و اقتدار زمین و آسمان سے وسیع تر ہے اور اسے ان کے تحفظ میں کوئی تکلیف بھی نہیں ہوتی وہ عالی مرتبہ بھی ہے اور صاحبِ عظمت بھی
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 266

کیا تم میں سے کوئی یہ پسند کرتا ہے کہ اس کے پاس کھجور اور انگور کے باغ ہوں۔ ان کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں ان میں ہر طرح کے پھل ہوں- اور آدمی بوڑھا ہو جائے۔ اس کے کمزور بچے ہوں اور پھر اچانک تیز گرم ہوا جس میں آگ بھری ہو چل جائے اور سب جل کر خاک ہوجائے۔ خدا اسی طرح اپنی آیات کو واضح کر کے بیان کرتا ہے کہ شاید تم فکر کر سکو
[YOUSAF ALI] Does any of you wish that he should have a garden with date-palms and vines and streams flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruit, while he is stricken with old age, and his children are not strong (enough to look after themselves)- that it should be caught in a whirlwind, with fire therein, and be burnt up? Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His) Signs; that ye may consider.
[ PICKTHAL ] Would any of you like to have a garden of palm-trees and vines, with rivers flowing underneath it, with all kinds of fruit for him therein; and old age hath stricken him and he hath feeble offspring; and a fiery whirlwind striketh it and it is (all) consumed by fire. Thus Allah maketh plain His revelations unto you, in order that ye may give thought.
[ SHAKIR ] Does one of you like that he should have a garden of palms and vines with streams flowing beneath it; he has in it all kinds of fruits; and old age has overtaken him and he has weak offspring, when, (lo!) a whirlwind with fire in it smites it so it becomes blasted; thus Allah makes the communications clear to you, that you may reflect.
- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 191

جو لوگ اٹھتے, بیٹھتے, لیٹتے خدا کو یاد کرتے ہیں اور آسمان و زمین کی تخلیق میں غوروفکر کرتے ہیں... کہ خدایا تو نے یہ سب بے کار نہیں پیدا کیا ہے- تو پاک و بے نیاز ہے ہمیں عذاب جہّنم سے محفوظ فرما
[YOUSAF ALI] Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire.
[ PICKTHAL ] Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire.
[ SHAKIR ] Those who remember Allah standing and sitting and lying on their sides and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: Our Lord! Thou hast not created this in vain! Glory be to Thee; save us then from the chastisement of the fire:
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 65
قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ ۗ انْظُرْ كَيْفَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَفْقَهُونَ (65
کہہ دیجئے کہ وہی اس بات پر بھی قادر ہے کہ تمہارے اوپر سے یا پیروں کے نیچے سے عذاب بھیج دے یا ایک گروہ کو دوسرے سے ٹکرادے اور ایک کے ذریعہ دوسرے کو عذاب کا مزہ چکھادے -دیکھو ہم کس طرح آیات کو پلٹ پلٹ کر بیان کرتے ہیں کہ شاید ان کی سمجھ میں آجائے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "He hath power to send calamities on you, from above and below, or to cover you with confusion in party strife, giving you a taste of mutual vengeance - each from the other." See how We explain the signs by various (symbols); that they may understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: He is able to send punishment upon you from above you or from beneath your feet, or to bewilder you with dissension and make you taste the tyranny one of another. See how We display the revelations so that they may understand.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: He has the power that He should send on you a chastisement from above you or from beneath your feet, or that He should throw you into confusion, (making you) of different parties; and make some of you taste the fighting of others. See how We repeat the communications that they may understand.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 97
وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (97
وہی وہ ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے ستارے مقرر کئے ہیں کہ ان کے ذریعہ خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں راستہ معلوم کرسکو -ہم نے تمام نشانیوں کو اس قوم کے لئے تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کیا ہے جو جاننے والی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who hath set for you the stars that ye may guide your course by them amid the darkness of the land and the sea. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who has made the stars for you that you might follow the right way thereby in the darkness of the land and the sea; truly We have made plain the communications for a people who know.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 51
الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ نَنْسَاهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوا لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَٰذَا وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ (51
جن لوگوں نے اپنے دین کو کھیل تماشہ بنالیا تھا اور انہیں زندگانی دنیا نے دھوکہ دے دیا تھا تو آج ہم انہیں اسی طرح بھلادیں گے جس طرح انہوں نے آج کے دن کی ملاقات کو بھلادیا تھا اور ہماری آیات کا دیدہ و دانستہ انکار کررہے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Such as took their religion to be mere amusement and play, and were deceived by the life of the world." That day shall We forget them as they forgot the meeting of this day of theirs, and as they were wont to reject Our signs.
[ PICKTHAL ] Who took their religion for a sport and pastime, and whom the life of the world beguiled. So this day We have forgotten them even as they forgot the meeting of this their Day and as they used to deny Our tokens.
[ SHAKIR ] Who take their religion for an idle sport and a play and this life's world deceives them; so today We forsake them, as they neglected the meeting of this day of theirs and as they denied Our communications.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 51
الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا دِينَهُمْ لَهْوًا وَلَعِبًا وَغَرَّتْهُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ نَنْسَاهُمْ كَمَا نَسُوا لِقَاءَ يَوْمِهِمْ هَٰذَا وَمَا كَانُوا بِآيَاتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ (51
جن لوگوں نے اپنے دین کو کھیل تماشہ بنالیا تھا اور انہیں زندگانی دنیا نے دھوکہ دے دیا تھا تو آج ہم انہیں اسی طرح بھلادیں گے جس طرح انہوں نے آج کے دن کی ملاقات کو بھلادیا تھا اور ہماری آیات کا دیدہ و دانستہ انکار کررہے تھے

- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 54
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ (54
بیشک تمہارا پروردگار وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ دن میں پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کے بعد عرش پر اپنا اقتدار قائم کیا ہے وہ رات کو دن پر ڈھانپ دیتاہے اور رات تیزی سے اس کے پیچھے دوڑا کرتی ہے اور آفتاب و ماہتاب اور ستارے سب اسی کے حکم کے تابع ہیں اسی کے لئے خلق بھی ہے اور امر بھی وہ نہایت ہی صاحب هبرکت اللہ ہے جو عالمین کا پالنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, then mounted He the Throne. He covereth the night with the day, which is in haste to follow it, and hath made the sun and the moon and the stars subservient by His command. His verily is all creation and commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
[ SHAKIR ] Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 185
أَوَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا فِي مَلَكُوتِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ وَأَنْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ أَجَلُهُمْ ۖ فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ (185
اور کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین و آسمان کی حکومت اور خدا کی تمام مخلوقات میں غور نہیں کیا اور یہ کہ شاید ان کی اجل قریب آگئی ہو تو یہ اس کے بعد کس بات پر ایمان لے آئیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do they see nothing in the government of the heavens and the earth and all that Allah hath created? (Do they not see) that it may well be that their terms is nigh drawing to an end? In what message after this will they then believe?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have they not considered the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and what things Allah hath created, and that it may be that their own term draweth nigh? In what fact after this will they believe?
[ SHAKIR ] Do they not consider the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and whatever things Allah has created, and that may be their doom shall have drawn nigh; what announcement would they then believe in after this?
- Sura: 9 - at-Tawba (The Repentance) Ayat: 81
فَرِحَ الْمُخَلَّفُونَ بِمَقْعَدِهِمْ خِلَافَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ وَكَرِهُوا أَنْ يُجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِهِمْ وَأَنْفُسِهِمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَقَالُوا لَا تَنْفِرُوا فِي الْحَرِّ ۗ قُلْ نَارُ جَهَنَّمَ أَشَدُّ حَرًّا ۚ لَوْ كَانُوا يَفْقَهُونَ (81
جو لوگ جنگ تبوک میں نہیں گئے وہ رسول اللہ کے پیچھے بیٹھے رہ جانے پر خوش ہیں اور انہیں اپنے جان و مال سے راسِ خدامیں جہاد ناگوار معلوم ہوتا ہے اور یہ کہتے ہیں کہ تم لوگ گرمی میں نہ نکلو ...._ تو پیغمبر آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ آتش جہنّم اس سے زیادہ گرم ہے اگر یہ لوگ کچھ سمجھنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Those who were left behind (in the Tabuk expedition) rejoiced in their inaction behind the back of the Messenger of Allah: they hated to strive and fight, with their goods and their persons, in the cause of Allah: they said, "Go not forth in the heat." Say, "The fire of Hell is fiercer in heat." If only they could understand!
[ PICKTHAL ] Those who were left behind rejoiced at sitting still behind the messenger of Allah, and were averse to striving with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way. And they said: Go not forth in the heat! Say: The fire of hell is more intense of heat, if they but understood.
[ SHAKIR ] Those who were left behind were glad on account of their sitting behind Allah's Messenger and they were averse from striving m Allah's way with their property and their persons, and said: Do not go forth in the heat. Say: The fire of hell is much severe in heat. Would that they understood (it).
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 3
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۖ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ ۖ مَا مِنْ شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ (3
بیشک تمہارا پروردگار وہ ہے جس نے زمین و آسمان کو چھ دنوں میں پیدا کیا ہے پھر اس کے بعد عرش پر اپنا اقتدار قائم کیاہے وہ تمام امور کی تدبیر کرنے والا ہے کوئی اس کی اجازت کے بغیر شفاعت کرنے والا نہیں ہے .وہی تمہارا پروردگار ہے اور اسی کی عبادت کرو کیا تمہیں ہوش نہیں آرہا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition?
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, then He established Himself upon the Throne, directing all things. There is no intercessor (with Him) save after His permission. That is Allah, your Lord, so worship Him. Oh, will ye not remind?
[ SHAKIR ] Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power, regulating the affair, there is no intercessor except aher His permission; this is Allah, your Lord, therefore serve Him; will you not then mind?
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 5
هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاءً وَالْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابَ ۚ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (5
اسی خدا نے آفتاب کو روشنی اورچاند کو نور بنایا ہے پھر چاند کی منزلیں مقرر کی ہیں تاکہ ان کے ذریعہ برسوں کی تعداد اور دوسرے حسابات دریافت کرسکو -یہ سب خدا نے صرف حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے کہ وہ صاحبان هعلم کے لئے اپنی آیتوں کو تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کرتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who appointed the sun a splendour and the moon a light, and measured for her stages, that ye might know the number of the years, and the reckoning. Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who made the sun a shining brightness and the moon a light, and ordained for it mansions that you might know the computation of years and the reckoning. Allah did not create it but with truth; He makes the signs manifest for a people who
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 24
إِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَاءٍ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِهِ نَبَاتُ الْأَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ النَّاسُ وَالْأَنْعَامُ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَخَذَتِ الْأَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّنَتْ وَظَنَّ أَهْلُهَا أَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَيْهَا أَتَاهَا أَمْرُنَا لَيْلًا أَوْ نَهَارًا فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَصِيدًا كَأَنْ لَمْ تَغْنَ بِالْأَمْسِ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (24
زندگانی دنیا کی مثال صرف اس بارش کی ہے جسے ہم نے آسمان سے نازل کیا پھر اس سے مل کر زمین سے وہ نباتات برآمد ہوئیں جن کو انسان اورجانور کھاتے ہیں یہاں تک کہ جب زمین نے سبزہ زار سے اپنے کو آراستہ کرلیا اور مالکوں نے خیال کرنا شروع کردیا کہ اب ہم اس زمین کے صاحب هاختیار ہیں تو اچانک ہمارا حکم رات یا دن کے وقت آگیا اور ہم نے اسے بالکل کٹا ہوا کھیت بنادیا گویا اس میں کل کچھ تھا ہی نہیں -ہم اسی طرح اپنی آیتوں کو مفصل طریقہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں اس قوم کے لئے جو صاحبِ فکر و نظر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] The similitude of the life of the world is only as water which We send down from the sky, then the earth's growth of that which men and cattle eat mingleth with it till, when the earth hath taken on her ornaments and is embellished, and her people deem that they are masters of her, Our commandment cometh by night or by day and We make it as reaped corn as if it had not flourished yesterday. Thus do we expound the revelations for people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] The likeness of this world's life is only as water which We send down from the cloud, then the herbage of the earth of which men and cattle eat grows luxuriantly thereby, until when the earth puts on its golden raiment and it becomes garnished, and its people think that they have power over it, Our command comes to it, by night or by day, so We render it as reaped seed; produce, as though it had not been in existence yesterday; thus do We make clear the communications for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 61
وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُو مِنْهُ مِنْ قُرْآنٍ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْ رَبِّكَ مِنْ مِثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَا أَصْغَرَ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (61
اور پیغمبر آپ کسی حال میں رہیں اور قرآن کے کسی حصہ کی تلاوت کریں اور اے لوگوں تم کوئی عمل کرو ہم تم سب کے گواہ ہوتے ہیں جب بھی کوئی عمل کرتے ہو اور تمہارے پروردگار سے زمین و آسمان کا کوئی ذرّہ دور نہیں ہے اور کوئی شے ذرّہ سے بڑی یا چھوٹی ایسی نہیں ہے جسے ہم نے اپنی کھلی کتاب میں جمع نہ کردیا ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.
[ PICKTHAL ] And thou (Muhammad) art not occupied with any business and thou recitest not a Lecture from this (Scripture), and ye (mankind) perform no act, but We are Witness of you when ye are engaged therein. And not an atom's weight in the earth or in the sky escapeth your Lord, nor what is less than that or greater than that, but it is (written) in a clear Book.
[ SHAKIR ] And you are not (engaged) in any affair, nor do you recite concerning it any portion of the Quran, nor do you do any work but We are witnesses over you when you enter into it, and there does not lie concealed from your Lord the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven, nor any thing less than that nor greater, but it is in a clear book.
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 2
اللَّهُ الَّذِي رَفَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ (2
اللہ ہی وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو بغیر کسی ستون کے بلند کردیا ہے جیسا کہ تم دیکھ رہے ہو اس کے بعد اس نے عر ش پر اقتدار قائم کیا اور آفتاب و ماہتاب کو لَسخر بنایا کہ سب ایک معینہ مدّت تک چلتے رہیں گے وہی تمام امور کی تدبیر کرنے والا ہے اور اپنی آ یات کو مفصل طور سے بیان کرتا ہے کہ شاید تم لوگ پروردگار کی ملاقات کا یقین پیدا کرلو
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah it is Who raised up the heavens without visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course; He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see, and He is firm in power and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each one pursues its course to an appointed time; He regulates the affair, making clear the signs that you may be certain of meeting your Lord.
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 2

- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 4
وَفِي الْأَرْضِ قِطَعٌ مُتَجَاوِرَاتٌ وَجَنَّاتٌ مِنْ أَعْنَابٍ وَزَرْعٌ وَنَخِيلٌ صِنْوَانٌ وَغَيْرُ صِنْوَانٍ يُسْقَىٰ بِمَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ وَنُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَهَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فِي الْأُكُلِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (4
اور زمین کے متعدد ٹکڑے آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے ملے ہوئے ہیں اور انگور کے باغات ہیں اور زرا عت ہے اور کھجوریں ہیں جن میں بعض دو شاخ کی ہیں اور بعض ایک شاخ کی ہیں اور سب ایک ہی پانی سے سینچے جاتے ہیں اور ہم بعض کو بعض پر کھانے میں ترجیح دیتے ہیں اور اس میں بھی صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے بڑی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And in the earth are tracts (diverse though) neighbouring, and gardens of vines and fields sown with corn, and palm trees - growing out of single roots or otherwise: watered with the same water, yet some of them We make more excellent than others to eat. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who understand!
[ PICKTHAL ] And in the Earth are neighbouring tracts, vineyards and ploughed lands, and date-palms, like and unlike, which are watered with one water. And we have made some of them to excel others in fruit. Lo! herein verily are portents for people who have sense.
[ SHAKIR ] And in the earth there are tracts side by side and gardens of grapes and corn and palm trees having one root and (others) having distinct roots-- they are watered with one water, and We make some of them excel others in fruit; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand.
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 15
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ طَوْعًا وَكَرْهًا وَظِلَالُهُمْ بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ ۩ (15
اللہ ہی کے لئے زمین و آسمان والے ہنسی خوشی یا زبردستی سجدہ کررہے ہیں اور صبح و شام ان کے سائے بھی سجدہ کناں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah (Acknowledging subjection),- with good-will or in spite of themselves: so do their shadows in the morning and evenings.
[ PICKTHAL ] And unto Allah falleth prostrate whosoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, as do their shadows in the morning and the evening hours.
[ SHAKIR ] And whoever is in the heavens and the earth makes obeisance to Allah only, willingly and unwillingly, and their shadows too at morn and eve.
- Sura: 14 - Ibrahim (Abraham) Ayat: 33
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ دَائِبَيْنِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ (33
اور تمہارے لئے حرکت کرنے والے آفتاب و ماہتاب کو بھی مسخر کردیا ہے اور تمہارے لئے رات اور دن کو بھی مسخر کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you.
[ PICKTHAL ] And maketh the sun and the moon, constant in their courses, to be of service unto you, and hath made of service unto you the night and the day.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient to you the sun and the moon pursuing their courses, and He has made subservient to you the night and the day.
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 14 to 15
وَلَوْ فَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَابًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَظَلُّوا فِيهِ يَعْرُجُونَ (14
ہم اگر آسمان میں ان کے لئے کوئی دروازہ کھول دیں اور یہ لوگ دن دھاڑے اسی دروازے سے چڑھ جائیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Even if We opened out to them a gate from heaven, and they were to continue (all day) ascending therein,
[ PICKTHAL ] And even if We opened unto them a gate of heaven and they kept mounting through it,
[ SHAKIR ] And even if We open to them a gateway of heaven, so that they ascend into it all the while,
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 14 to 15
لَقَالُوا إِنَّمَا سُكِّرَتْ أَبْصَارُنَا بَلْ نَحْنُ قَوْمٌ مَسْحُورُونَ (15
تو بھی کہیں گے کہ ہماری آنکھوں کو مدہوش کردیا گیا ہے اور ہم پر جادو کردیا گیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] They would only say: "Our eyes have been intoxicated: Nay, we have been bewitched by sorcery."
[ PICKTHAL ] They would say: Our sight is wrong - nay, but we are folk bewitched.
[ SHAKIR ] They would certainly say: Only our eyes have been covered over, rather we are an enchanted people.
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 16 to 17
وَلَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا لِلنَّاظِرِينَ (16
اور ہم نے آسمان میں برج بنائے اور انہیں دیکھنے والوں کے لئے ستاروں سے آراستہ کردیا
[YOUSAF ALI] It is We Who have set out the zodiacal signs in the heavens, and made them fair-seeming to (all) beholders;
[ PICKTHAL ] And verily in the heaven we have set mansions of the stars, and We have beautified it for beholders.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We have made strongholds in the heaven and We have made it fair seeming to the beholders.
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) From Ayat: 16 to 17
وَحَفِظْنَاهَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ رَجِيمٍ (17
اور ہر شیطان رجیم سے محفوظ بنادیا
[YOUSAF ALI] And (moreover) We have guarded them from every cursed devil:
[ PICKTHAL ] And We have guarded it from every outcast devil,
[ SHAKIR ] And We guard it against every accursed Shaitan,
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) Ayat: 85
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَإِنَّ السَّاعَةَ لَآتِيَةٌ ۖ فَاصْفَحِ الصَّفْحَ الْجَمِيلَ (85
اور ہم نے آسمان و زمین اور ان کے درمیان جو کچھ بھی ہے سب کو برحق پیدا کیا ہے اور قیامت بہرحال آنے والی ہے لہذا آپ ان سے خوبصورتی کے ساتھ درگزر کردیں
[YOUSAF ALI] We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness.
[ PICKTHAL ] We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them save with truth, and lo! the Hour is surely coming. So forgive, (O Muhammad), with a gracious forgiveness.
[ SHAKIR ] And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 12
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ وَالنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَاتٌ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (12
اور اسی نے تمہارے رات دن اور آفتاب و ماہتاب سب کو مسخر کردیا ہے اور ستارے بھی اسی کے حکم کے تابع ہیں بیشک اس میں بھی صاحبانِ عقل کے لئے قدرت کی بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He hath constrained the night and the day and the sun and the moon to be of service unto you, and the stars are made subservient by His command. Lo! herein indeed are portents for people who have sense.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder;
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 49 to 50
وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ مِنْ دَابَّةٍ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ (49
اور اللہ ہی کے لئے آسمان کی تمام چیزیں اور زمین کے تمام چلنے والے اور ملائکہ سجدہ ریز ہیں اور کوئی استکبار کرنے والا نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And to Allah doth obeisance all that is in the heavens and on earth, whether moving (living) creatures or the angels: for none are arrogant (before their Lord).
[ PICKTHAL ] And unto Allah maketh prostration whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth of living creatures, and the angels (also) and they are not proud.
[ SHAKIR ] And whatever creature that is in the heavens and that is in the earth makes obeisance to Allah (only), and the angels (too) and they do not show pride.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 49 to 50
يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُمْ مِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩ (50
یہ سب اپنے پروردگار کی برتری اور عظمت سے خوفزدہ ہیں اور اسی کے امر کے مطابق کام کررہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] They all revere their Lord, high above them, and they do all that they are commanded.
[ PICKTHAL ] They fear their Lord above them, and do what they are bidden.
[ SHAKIR ] They fear their Lord above them and do what they are commanded.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 67
وَمِنْ ثَمَرَاتِ النَّخِيلِ وَالْأَعْنَابِ تَتَّخِذُونَ مِنْهُ سَكَرًا وَرِزْقًا حَسَنًا ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (67
اور پھر خرمہ اور انگور کے پھلوں سے وہ شیرہ نکالتے ہیں جس سے تم نشہ اور بہترین رزق سب کچھ تیار کرلیتے ہو اس میں بھی صاحبان هعقل کے لئے نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And from the fruit of the date-palm and the vine, ye get out wholesome drink and food: behold, in this also is a sign for those who are wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of the fruits of the date-palm, and grapes, whence ye derive strong drink and (also) good nourishment. Lo! therein is indeed a portent for people who have sense.
[ SHAKIR ] And of the fruits of the palms and the grapes-- you obtain from them intoxication and goodly provision; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who ponder.
- Sura: 20 - Taa-haa (Taa-haa) Ayat: 6
لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ الثَّرَىٰ (6
اس کے لئے وہ سب کچھ ہے جو آسمانوں میں ہے یا زمین میں ہے یا دونوں کے درمیان ہے اور زمینوں کی تہ میں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him belongs what is in the heavens and on earth, and all between them, and all beneath the soil.
[ PICKTHAL ] Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, and whatsoever is between them, and whatsoever is beneath the sod.
[ SHAKIR ] His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground.
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 30
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (30
کیا ان کافروں نے یہ نہیں دیکھا کہ یہ زمین و آسمان آپس میں جڑے ہوئے تھے اور ہم نے ان کو الگ کیا ہے اور ہر جاندار کو پانی سے قرار دیا ہے پھر کیا یہ لوگ ایمان نہ لائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?
[ SHAKIR ] Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have made of water everything living, will they not then believe?
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 33
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (33
وہ وہی خدا ہے جس نے رات دن اور آفتاب و ماہتاب سب کو پید اکیا ہے اور سب اپنے اپنے فلک میں تیر رہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all (orbs) travel along swiftly in their celestial spheres.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 18
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَسْجُدُ لَهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَالشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ وَالنُّجُومُ وَالْجِبَالُ وَالشَّجَرُ وَالدَّوَابُّ وَكَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ ۖ وَكَثِيرٌ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِ الْعَذَابُ ۗ وَمَنْ يُهِنِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِنْ مُكْرِمٍ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَفْعَلُ مَا يَشَاءُ ۩ (18
"کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ زمین و آسمان میں جس قدر بھی صاحبانِ عقل و شعور ہیں اور آفتاب و ماہتاب اور ستارے ,پہاڑ ,درخت ,چوپائے اور انسانوں کی ایک کثرت سب ہی اللہ کے لئے سجدہ گزار ہیں اور ان میں سے بہت سے ایسے بھی ہیں جن پر عذاب ثابت ہوچکا ہے اور ظاہر ہے کہ جسے خدا ذلیل کرنا چاہے اسے کوئی عزّت دینے والا نہیں ہے کہ یقینا اللہ جو چاہتا ہے وہ کرسکتا ہے"
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou not that to Allah bow down in worship all things that are in the heavens and on earth,- the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees, the animals; and a great number among mankind? But a great number are (also) such as are fit for Punishment: and such as Allah shall disgrace,- None can raise to honour: for Allah carries out all that He wills.
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou not seen that unto Allah payeth adoration whosoever is in the heavens and whosoever is in the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the hills, and the trees, and the beasts, and many of mankind, while there are many unto whom the doom is justly due. He whom Allah scorneth, there is none to give him honour. Lo! Allah doeth what He will.
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that Allah is He, Whom obeys whoever is in the heavens and whoever is in the earth, and the sun and the moon and the stars, and the mountains and the trees, and the animals and many of the people; and many there are against whom chastisement has become necessary; and whomsoever Allah abases, there is none who can make him honorable; surely Allah does what He pleases.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 61
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ (61
یہ سب اس لئے ہے کہ خدا رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے اور اللہ بہت زیادہ سننے والا اور دیکھنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] That is because Allah merges night into day, and He merges day into night, and verily it is Allah Who hears and sees (all things).
[ PICKTHAL ] That is because Allah maketh the night to pass into the day and maketh the day to pass into the night, and because Allah is Hearer, Seer.
[ SHAKIR ] That is because Allah causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night, and because Allah is Hearing, Seeing.
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) Ayat: 17
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ (17
اور ہم نے تمہارے اوپر تہ بہ تہ سات آسمان بنائے ہیں اور ہم اپنی مخلوقات سے غافل نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation.
[ PICKTHAL ] And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation.
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) Ayat: 17
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ (17

[YOUSAF ALI] And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation.
[ PICKTHAL ] And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation.
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) Ayat: 86
قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ (86
پھر مزید کہئے کہ ساتوں آسمان اور عرش اعظم کامالک کون ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion?
- Sura: 25 - al-Furqaan (The Criterion) From Ayat: 32 to 34
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْلَا نُزِّلَ عَلَيْهِ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً وَاحِدَةً ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلْنَاهُ تَرْتِيلًا (32
اور یہ کافر یہ بھی کہتے ہیں کہ آخر انِ پر یہ قرآن ایک دفعہ کِل کاکِل کیوں نہیں نازل ہوگیا-ہم اسی طرح تدریجا نازل کرتے ہیں تاکہ تمہارے دل کو مطمئن کرسکیں اور ہم نے اسے ٹھہر ٹھہر کر نازل کیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually.
[ PICKTHAL ] And those who disbelieve say: Why is the Qur'an not revealed unto him all at once? (It is revealed) thus that We may strengthen thy heart therewith; and We have arranged it in right order.
[ SHAKIR ] And those who disbelieve say: Why has not the Quran been revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart by it and We have arranged it well in arranging.
- Sura: 25 - al-Furqaan (The Criterion) From Ayat: 32 to 34
وَلَا يَأْتُونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلَّا جِئْنَاكَ بِالْحَقِّ وَأَحْسَنَ تَفْسِيرًا (33
اوریہ لوگ کوئی بھی مثال نہ لائیں گے مگر یہ کہ ہم اس کے جواب میں حق اور بہترین بیان لے آئیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof).
[ PICKTHAL ] And they bring thee no similitude but We bring thee the Truth (as against it), and better (than their similitude) as argument.
[ SHAKIR ] And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance.
- Sura: 25 - al-Furqaan (The Criterion) From Ayat: 32 to 34
الَّذِينَ يُحْشَرُونَ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ إِلَىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُولَٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكَانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا (34
وہ لوگ جو جہنم ّکی طرف منہ کے بل کھینچ کر لائے جائیں گے ان کا ٹھکانا بدترین ہے اور وہ بہت زیادہ بہکے ہوئے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray.
[ PICKTHAL ] Those who will be gathered on their faces unto hell: such are worse in plight and further from the right road.
[ SHAKIR ] (As for) those who shall be gathered upon their faces to hell, they are in a worse plight and straying farther away from the path.
- Sura: 25 - al-Furqaan (The Criterion) Ayat: 59
الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ الرَّحْمَٰنُ فَاسْأَلْ بِهِ خَبِيرًا (59
اس نے آسمان و زمین اور اس کے درمیان کی مخلوقات کو چھ دنوں کے اندر پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کے بعد عرش پر اپنا اقتدار قائم کیا ہے وہ رحمان ہے اس کی تخلیق کے بارے میں اسی باخبر سے دریافت کرو
[YOUSAF ALI] He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things).
[ PICKTHAL ] Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him!
[ SHAKIR ] Who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods, and He is firmly established on the throne of authority; the Beneficent Allah, so ask respecting it one aware.
- Sura: 25 - al-Furqaan (The Criterion) Ayat: 61
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا (61
بابرکت ہے وہ ذات جس نے آسمان میں برج بنائے ہیں اور اس میں چراغ اور چمکتا ہوا چاند قرار دیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light;
[ PICKTHAL ] Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light!
[ SHAKIR ] Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon.
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 74 to 75
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعْلَمُ مَا تُكِنُّ صُدُورُهُمْ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ (74
اور آپ کا پروردگار وہ سب جانتا ہے جسے ان کے دل چھپائے ہوئے ہیں یا جس کا یہ اعلان کررہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim.
[ SHAKIR ] And most surely your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they manifest.
- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) From Ayat: 74 to 75
وَمَا مِنْ غَائِبَةٍ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (75
اور آسمان و زمین میں کوئی پوشیدہ چیز ایسی نہیں ہے جس کا ذکر کتاب مبین میں نہ ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record.
[ PICKTHAL ] And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record.
[ SHAKIR ] And there is nothing concealed in the heaven and the earth but it is in a clear book.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) Ayat: 9
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَيَنْظُرُوا كَيْفَ كَانَ عَاقِبَةُ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَأَثَارُوا الْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَا أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَاءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِنْ كَانُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ (9
اور کیا ان لوگوں نے زمین میں سیر نہیں کی ہے کہ دیکھتے کہ ان سے پہلے والوں کا کیا انجام ہوا ہے جو طاقت میں ان سے زیادہ مضبوط تھے اور انہوں نے زراعت کرکے زمین کو ان سے زیادہ آباد کرلیا تھا اور ان کے پاس ہمارے نمائندے زیادہ کُھلی ہوئی نشانیاں بھی لے کر آئے تھے یقینا خدا اپنے بندوں پر ظلم نہیں کرتا ہے بلکہ یہ لوگ خود ہی اپنے اوپر ظلم کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls.
[ PICKTHAL ] Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? They were stronger than these in power, and they dug the earth and built upon it more than these have built. Messengers of their own came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). Surely Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves.
[ SHAKIR ] Have they not travelled in the earth and seen how was the end of those before them? They were stronger than these in prowess, and dug up the earth, and built on it in greater abundance than these have built on it, and there came to them their messengers with clear arguments; so it was not beseeming for Allah that He should deal with them unjustly, but they dealt unjustly with their own souls.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) Ayat: 26
وَلَهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّ لَهُ قَانِتُونَ (26
آسمان و زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کی ملکیت ہے اور سب اسی کے تابع فرمان ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him.
[ PICKTHAL ] Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient unto Him.
[ SHAKIR ] And His is whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; all are obedient to Him.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) Ayat: 10
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ (10
اسی نے آسمانوں کو بغیر ستون کے پیدا کیا ہے تم دیکھ رہے ہو اور زمین میں بڑے بڑے پہاڑ ڈال دیئے ہیں کہ تم کو لے کر جگہ سے ہٹنے نہ پائے اور ہر طرح کے جانور پھیلادیئے ہیں اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا ہے اور اس کے ذریعہ زمین میں ہر قسم کا نفیس جوڑا پیدا کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs.
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein.
[ SHAKIR ] He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) Ayat: 19
وَاقْصِدْ فِي مَشْيِكَ وَاغْضُضْ مِنْ صَوْتِكَ ۚ إِنَّ أَنْكَرَ الْأَصْوَاتِ لَصَوْتُ الْحَمِيرِ (19
اور اپنی رفتار میں میانہ روی سے کام لینا اور اپنی آواز کو دھیما رکھنا کہ سب سے بدتر آواز گدھے کی آواز ہوتی ہے (جو بلاسبب بھونڈے انداز سے چیختا رہتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass."
[ PICKTHAL ] Be modest in thy bearing and subdue thy voice. Lo! the harshest of all voices is the voice of the ass.
[ SHAKIR ] And pursue the right course in your going about and lower your voice; surely the most hateful of voices is braying of the asses.
- Sura: 35 - Faatir (The Originator) Ayat: 13
يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْ قِطْمِيرٍ (13
وہ خدا رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں اس نے سورج اور چاند کو تابع بنادیا ہے اور سب اپنے مقررہ وقت کے مطابق سیر کررہے ہیں وہی تمہارا پروردگار ہے اسی کے اختیار میں سارا ملک ہے اور اس کے علاوہ تم جنہیں آواز دیتے ہووہ خرمہ کی گٹھلی کے چھلکے کے برابر بھی اختیار کے مالک نہیں ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] He merges Night into Day, and he merges Day into Night, and he has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law): each one runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah your Lord: to Him belongs all Dominion. And those whom ye invoke besides Him have not the least power.
[ PICKTHAL ] He maketh the night to pass into the day and He maketh the day to pass into the night. He hath subdued the sun and moon to service. Each runneth unto an appointed term. Such is Allah, your Lord; His is the Sovereignty; and those unto whom ye pray instead of Him own not so much as the white spot on a date-stone.
[ SHAKIR ] He causes the night to enter in upon the day, and He causes the day to enter in upon the night, and He has made subservient (to you) the sun and the moon; each one follows its course to an appointed time; this is Allah, your Lord, His is the kingdom; and those whom you call upon besides Him do not control a straw.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 37
وَآيَةٌ لَهُمُ اللَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ النَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُمْ مُظْلِمُونَ (37
اور ان کے لئے ایک نشانی رات ہے جس میں سے ہم کھینچ کر دن کو نکال لیتے ہیں تو یہ سب اندھیرے میں چلے جاتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness;
[ PICKTHAL ] A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness.
[ SHAKIR ] And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in the dark;
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 39
وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ (39
اور چاند کے لئے بھی ہم نے منزلیں معین کردی ہیں یہاں تک کہ وہ آخر میں پلٹ کر کھجور کی سوکھی ٹہنی جیسا ہوجاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
[ PICKTHAL ] And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf.
[ SHAKIR ] And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 40
لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (40
نہ آفتاب کے بس میں ہے کہ چاند کو پکڑ لے اور نہ رات کے لئے ممکن ہے کہ وہ دن سے آگے بڑھ جائے .... اور یہ سب کے سب اپنے اپنے فلک اور مدار میں تیرتے رہتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
[ PICKTHAL ] It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
[ SHAKIR ] Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 6 to 7
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ (6
بیشک ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو ستاروں سے مزین بنادیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,-
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;
[ SHAKIR ] Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars,
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) From Ayat: 6 to 7
وَحِفْظًا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ مَارِدٍ (7
اور انہیں ہر سرکش شیطان سے حفاظت کا ذریعہ بنادیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] (For beauty) and for guard against all obstinate rebellious evil spirits,
[ PICKTHAL ] With security from every froward devil.
[ SHAKIR ] And (there is) a safeguard against every rebellious Shaitan.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) Ayat: 10
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ (10
علاوہ اس کے جو کوئی بات اچک لے تو اس کے پیچھے آگ کا شعلہ لگ جاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness.
[ PICKTHAL ] Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame.
[ SHAKIR ] Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame.
- Sura: 38 - Saad (The letter 'saad') Ayat: 27
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَاطِلًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنَ النَّارِ (27
اور ہم نے آسمان اور زمین اور اس کے درمیان کی مخلوقات کو بیکار نہیں پیدا کیا ہے یہ تو صرف کافروں کا خیال ہے اور کافروں کے لئے جہّنم میں ویل کی منزل ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)!
[ PICKTHAL ] And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve, from the Fire!
[ SHAKIR ] And We did not create the heaven and the earth and what is between them in vain; that is the opinion of those who disbelieve then woe to those who disbelieve on account of the fire.
- Sura: 39 - az-Zumar (The Groups) Ayat: 5
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۗ أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ (5
اس نے آسمان و زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے وہ رات کو دن پر لپیٹ دیتا ہے اور اس نے آفتاب اور ماہتاب کو تابع بنادیا ہے سب ایک مقرّرہ مدّت تک چلتے رہیں گے آگاہ ہوجاؤ وہ سب پر غالب اور بہت بخشنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again?
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. He maketh night to succeed day, and He maketh day to succeed night, and He constraineth the sun and the moon to give service, each running on for an appointed term. Is not He the Mighty, the Forgiver?
[ SHAKIR ] He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth; He makes the night cover the day and makes the day overtake the night, and He has made the sun and the moon subservient; each one runs on to an assigned term; now surely He is the Mighty, the great Forgiver.
- Sura: 41 - Fussilat (Explained in detail) From Ayat: 11 to 12
ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَهِيَ دُخَانٌ فَقَالَ لَهَا وَلِلْأَرْضِ ائْتِيَا طَوْعًا أَوْ كَرْهًا قَالَتَا أَتَيْنَا طَائِعِينَ (11
اس کے بعد اس نے آسمان کا رخ کیا جو بالکل دھواں تھا اور اسے اور زمین کو حکم دیا کہ بخوشی یا بہ کراہت ہماری طرف آؤ تو دونوں نے عرض کی کہ ہم اطاعت گزار بن کر حاضر ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Moreover He comprehended in His design the sky, and it had been (as) smoke: He said to it and to the earth: "Come ye together, willingly or unwillingly." They said: "We do come (together), in willing obedience."
[ PICKTHAL ] Then turned He to the heaven when it was smoke, and said unto it and unto the earth: Come both of you, willingly or loth. They said: We come, obedient.
[ SHAKIR ] Then He directed Himself to the heaven and it is a vapor, so He said to it and to the earth: Come both, willingly or unwillingly. They both said: We come willingly.
- Sura: 41 - Fussilat (Explained in detail) From Ayat: 11 to 12
فَقَضَاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَىٰ فِي كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ أَمْرَهَا ۚ وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَحِفْظًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (12
پھر ان آسمانوں کو دو دن کے اندر سات آسمان بنادیئے اور ہر آسمان میں اس کے معاملہ کی وحی کردی اور ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو چراغوں سے آراستہ کردیا ہے اور محفوظ بھی بنادیا ہے کہ یہ خدائے عزیز و علیم کی مقرر کی ہوئی تقدیر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then He ordained them seven heavens in two Days and inspired in each heaven its mandate; and We decked the nether heaven with lamps, and rendered it inviolable. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Knower.
[ SHAKIR ] So He ordained them seven heavens in two periods, and revealed in every heaven its affair; and We adorned the lower heaven with brilliant stars and (made it) to guard; that is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.
- Sura: 41 - Fussilat (Explained in detail) Ayat: 12
فَقَضَاهُنَّ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ فِي يَوْمَيْنِ وَأَوْحَىٰ فِي كُلِّ سَمَاءٍ أَمْرَهَا ۚ وَزَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَحِفْظًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (12
پھر ان آسمانوں کو دو دن کے اندر سات آسمان بنادیئے اور ہر آسمان میں اس کے معاملہ کی وحی کردی اور ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو چراغوں سے آراستہ کردیا ہے اور محفوظ بھی بنادیا ہے کہ یہ خدائے عزیز و علیم کی مقرر کی ہوئی تقدیر ہے

- Sura: 45 - al-Jaathiya (Crouching) Ayat: 13
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (13
اور اسی نے تمہارے لئے زمین و آسمان کی تمام چیزوں کو لَسّخر کردیا ہے بیشمَ اس میں غور و فکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, all, from Himself; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 45 - al-Jaathiya (Crouching) Ayat: 13
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (13
اور اسی نے تمہارے لئے زمین و آسمان کی تمام چیزوں کو لَسّخر کردیا ہے بیشمَ اس میں غور و فکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, all, from Himself; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') Ayat: 6
أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوجٍ (6
کیا ان لوگوں نے اپنے اوپر آسمان کی طرف نہیں دیکھا ہے کہ ہم نے اسے کس طرح بنایا ہے اور پھر آراستہ بھی کردیا ہے اور اس میں کہیں شگاف بھی نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
[ SHAKIR ] Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps?
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') Ayat: 38
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَمَا مَسَّنَا مِنْ لُغُوبٍ (38
اور ہم نے آسمان و زمین اور ان کے درمیان کی مخلوقات کو چھ دن میں پیدا کیا ہے اور ہمیں اس سلسلہ میں کوئی تھکن چھو بھی نہیں سکی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us.
[ PICKTHAL ] And verily We created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in six Days, and naught of weariness touched Us.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six periods and there touched Us not any fatigue.
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) Ayat: 47
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ (47
اور آسمان کو ہم نے اپنی طاقت سے بنایا ہے اور ہم ہی اسے وسعت دینے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace.
[ PICKTHAL ] We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof).
[ SHAKIR ] And the heaven, We raised it high with power, and most surely We are the makers of things ample.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 5
الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ (5
آفتاب و ماہتاب سب اسی کے مقرر کردہ حساب کے ساتھ چل رہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed;
[ PICKTHAL ] The sun and the moon are made punctual.
[ SHAKIR ] The sun and the moon follow a reckoning.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 33
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ (33
اے گروہ جن و انس اگر تم میں قدرت ہو کہ آسمان و زمین کے اطرف سے باہر نکل جاؤ تو نکل جاؤ مگر یاد رکھو کہ تم قوت اور غلبہ کے بغیر نہیں نکل سکتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
[ PICKTHAL ] O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction.
[ SHAKIR ] O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through; you cannot pass through but with authority.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 53
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ (53
پھر تم اپنے رب کی کس کس نعمت کا انکار کرو گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
[ PICKTHAL ] Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny?
[ SHAKIR ] Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?
- Sura: 57 - al-Hadid (The Iron) From Ayat: 4 to 5
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا يَلِجُ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا يَخْرُجُ مِنْهَا وَمَا يَنْزِلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَمَا يَعْرُجُ فِيهَا ۖ وَهُوَ مَعَكُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَصِيرٌ (4
وہی وہ ہے جس نے زمین و آسمان کو چھ دن میں پیدا کیا ہے اور پھر عرش پر اپنا اقتدار قائم کیا ہے وہ ہر اس چیز کو جانتا ہے جو زمین میں داخل ہوتی ہے یا زمین سے خارج ہوتی ہے اور جو چیز آسمان سے نازل ہوتی ہے اور آسمان کی طرف بلند ہوتی ہے اور وہ تمہارے ساتھ ہے تم جہاں بھی رہو اور وہ تمہارے اعمال کا دیکھنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and is moreover firmly established on the Throne (of Authority). He knows what enters within the earth and what comes forth out of it, what comes down from heaven and what mounts up to it. And He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah sees well all that ye do.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days; then He mounted the Throne. He knoweth all that entereth the earth and all that emergeth therefrom and all that cometh down from the sky and all that ascendeth therein; and He is with you wheresoever ye may be. And Allah is Seer of what ye do.
[ SHAKIR ] He it is who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power; He knows that which goes deep down into the earth and that which comes forth out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up into it, and He is with you wherever you are; and Allah sees what you do.
- Sura: 57 - al-Hadid (The Iron) From Ayat: 4 to 5
لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ (5
آسمان و زمین کا ملک اسی کے لئے ہے اور تمام امور کی بازگشت اسی کی طرف ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: and all affairs are referred back to Allah.
[ PICKTHAL ] His is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and unto Allah (all) things are brought back.
[ SHAKIR ] His is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; and to Allah are (all) affairs returned.
- Sura: 58 - al-Mujaadila (The Pleading Woman) Ayat: 7
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ مَا يَكُونُ مِنْ نَجْوَىٰ ثَلَاثَةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ رَابِعُهُمْ وَلَا خَمْسَةٍ إِلَّا هُوَ سَادِسُهُمْ وَلَا أَدْنَىٰ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْثَرَ إِلَّا هُوَ مَعَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كَانُوا ۖ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُمْ بِمَا عَمِلُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (7
کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے ہو کہ اللہ زمین و آسمان کی ہر شے سے باخبر ہے .کہیں بھی تین آدمیوں کے درمیان راز کی بات نہیں ہوتی ہے مگر یہ کہ وہ ان کا چوتھا ہوتا ہے اور پانچ کی راز داری ہوتی ہے تو وہ ان کا چھٹا ہوتا ہے اور کم و بیش بھی کوئی رازداری ہوتی ہے تو وہ ان کے ساتھ ضرور رہتا ہے چاہے وہ کہیں بھی رہیں اس کے بعد روز هقیامت انہیں باخبر کرے گا کہ انہوں نے کیا کیا ہے کہ بیشک وہ ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou not seen that Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth? There is no secret conference of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is with them wheresoever they may be; and afterward, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of what they did. Lo! Allah is Knower of all things.
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth? Nowhere is there a secret counsel between three persons but He is the fourth of them, nor (between) five but He is the sixth of them, nor less than that nor more but He is with them wheresoever they are; then He will inform them of what they did on the day of resurrection: surely Allah is Cognizant of all things.
- Sura: 65 - at-Talaaq (Divorce) Ayat: 12
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ وَمِنَ الْأَرْضِ مِثْلَهُنَّ يَتَنَزَّلُ الْأَمْرُ بَيْنَهُنَّ لِتَعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا (12
اللرُہی وہ ہے جس نے ساتوں آسمانوں کو پیدا کیا ہے اور زمینوں میں بھی ویسی ہی زمینیں بنائی ہیں اس کے احکام ان کے درمیان نازل ہوتے رہتے ہیں تاکہ تمہیں یہ معلوم رہے کہ وہ ہر شے پر قادر ہے اور اس کا علم تمام اشیائ کو محیط ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah it is who hath created seven heavens, and of the earth the like thereof. The commandment cometh down among them slowly, that ye may know that Allah is Able to do all things, and that Allah surroundeth all things in knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is He Who created seven heavens, and of the earth the like of them; the decree continues to descend among them, that you may know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah indeed encompasses all things in (His) knowledge.
- Sura: 67 - al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) Ayat: 3
الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا ۖ مَا تَرَىٰ فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ مِنْ تَفَاوُتٍ ۖ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِنْ فُطُورٍ (3
اسی نے سات آسمان تہ بہ تہ پیدا کئے ہیں اور تم رحمان کی خلقت میں کسی طرح کا فرق نہ دیکھو گے پھر دوبارہ نگاہ اٹھا کر دیکھو کہیں کوئی شگاف نظر آتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw?
[ PICKTHAL ] Who hath created seven heavens in harmony. Thou (Muhammad) canst see no fault in the Beneficent One's creation; then look again: Canst thou see any rifts?
[ SHAKIR ] Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?
- Sura: 67 - al-Mulk (The Sovereignty) From Ayat: 3 to 4

ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنْقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ (4
اس کے بعد بار بار نگاہ ڈالو دیکھو نگاہ تھک کر پلٹ آئے گی لیکن کوئی عیب نظر نہ آئے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then look again and yet again, thy sight will return unto thee weakened and made dim.
[ SHAKIR ] Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall '~ come back to you confused while it is fatigued.
- Sura: 71 - Nooh (Nooh) Ayat: 15
أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا (15
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا نے کس طرح تہ بہ تہ سات آسمان بنائے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] "'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another,
[ PICKTHAL ] See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens ,~ one above another,
- Sura: 71 - Nooh (Nooh) From Ayat: 15 to 16
أَلَمْ تَرَوْا كَيْفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا (15
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا نے کس طرح تہ بہ تہ سات آسمان بنائے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] "'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another,
[ PICKTHAL ] See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony,
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see how Allah has created the seven heavens ,~ one above another,
- Sura: 71 - Nooh (Nooh) From Ayat: 15 to 16
وَجَعَلَ الْقَمَرَ فِيهِنَّ نُورًا وَجَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ سِرَاجًا (16
اور قمر کو ان میں روشنی اور سورج کو روشن چراغ بنایا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "'And made the moon a light in their midst, and made the sun as a (Glorious) Lamp?
[ PICKTHAL ] And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp?
[ SHAKIR ] And made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp?
- Sura: 78 - an-Naba (The Announcement) From Ayat: 12 to 13
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا (12
اور تمہارے سروں پر سات مضبوط آسمان بنائے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments,
[ PICKTHAL ] And We have built above you seven strong (heavens),
[ SHAKIR ] And We made above you seven strong ones,
- Sura: 78 - an-Naba (The Announcement) From Ayat: 12 to 13
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا (13
اور ایک بھڑکتا ہوا چراغ بنایا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour?
[ PICKTHAL ] And have appointed a dazzling lamp,
[ SHAKIR ] And We made a shining lamp,
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 1 to 3
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ (1
آسمان اور رات کو آنے والے کی قسم
[YOUSAF ALI] By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-
[ PICKTHAL ] By the heaven and the Morning Star
[ SHAKIR ] I swear by the heaven and the comer by night;
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 1 to 3
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ (2
اور تم کیا جانو کہ طارق کیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?-
[ PICKTHAL ] - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is!
[ SHAKIR ] And what will make you know what the comer by night is?
- Sura: 86 - at-Taariq (The Morning Star) From Ayat: 1 to 3
النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ (3
یہ ایک چمکتا ہوا ستارہ ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-
[ PICKTHAL ] - The piercing Star!
[ SHAKIR ] The star of piercing brightness;
