- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 74
ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ فَهِيَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الْأَنْهَارُ ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاءُ ۚ وَإِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَمَا اللَّهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ (74
پھر تمہارے دل سخت ہوگئے جیسے پتھر یا اس سے بھی کچھ زیادہ سخت کہ پتھروں میں سے تو بعض سے نہریں بھی جاری ہوجاتی ہیں اور بعض شگافتہ ہوجاتے ہیں تو ان سے پانی نکل آتا ہے اور بعض خوفِ خدا سے گر پڑتے ہیں. لیکن اللہ تمہارے اعمال سے غافل نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then, even after that, your hearts were hardened and became as rocks, or worse than rocks, for hardness. For indeed there are rocks from out which rivers gush, and indeed there are rocks which split asunder so that water floweth from them. And indeed there are rocks which fall down for the fear of Allah. Allah is not unaware of what ye do.
[ SHAKIR ] Then your hearts hardened after that, so that they were like rocks, rather worse in hardness; and surely there are some rocks from which streams burst forth, and surely there are some of them which split asunder so water issues out of them, and surely there are some of them which fall down for fear of Allah, and Allah is not at all heedless of what you do.
- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 138
صِبْغَةَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ صِبْغَةً ۖ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ عَابِدُونَ (138
رنگ تو صرف اللہ کا رنگ ہے اور اس سے بہتر کس کا رنگ ہوسکتا ہے اور ہم سب اسی کے عبادت گزار ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] (Our religion is) the Baptism of Allah: And who can baptize better than Allah? And it is He Whom we worship.
[ PICKTHAL ] (We take our) colour from Allah, and who is better than Allah at colouring. We are His worshippers.
[ SHAKIR ] (Receive) the baptism of Allah, and who is better than Allah in baptising? and Him do we serve.
- Sura: 3 - aal-`Imraan (The Family of `Imraan) Ayat: 14

لوگوں کے لئے خواہشاتِ دنیا ، عورتیں ، اولاد ، سونے چاندی کے ڈھیر، تندرست گھوڑے یا چوپائے ، کھیتیاں سب مزیّن اور آراستہ کردی گئی ہیں کہ یہی متاع دنیا ہے اور اللہ کے پاس بہترین انجام ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (To return to).
[ PICKTHAL ] Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode.
[ SHAKIR ] The love of desires, of women and sons and hoarded treasures of gold and silver and well bred horses and cattle and tilth, is made to seem fair to men; this is the provision of the life of this world; and Allah is He with Whom is the good goal (of life).
- Sura: 4 - an-Nisaa' (The Women) From Ayat: 11 to 12

اللہ تمہاری اولاد کے بارے میں تمہیں ہدایت فرماتا ہے، ایک لڑکے کا حصہ دو لڑکیوں کے حصے کے برابر ہے، پس اگر لڑکیاں دو سے زائد ہوں تو ترکے کا دو تہائی ان کا حق ہے اور اگر صرف ایک لڑکی ہے تو نصف (ترکہ) اس کا ہے اور میت کی اولاد ہونے کی صورت میں والدین میں سے ہر ایک کو ترکے کا چھٹا حصہ ملے گا اور اگر میت کی اولاد نہ ہو بلکہ صرف ماں باپ اس کے وارث ہوں تواس کی ماں کو تیسرا حصہ ملے گا، پس اگر میت کے بھائی ہوں تو ماں کو چھٹا حصہ ملے گا، یہ تقسیم میت کی وصیت پر عمل کرنے اور اس کے قرض کی ادائیگی کے بعد ہو گی، تمہیں نہیں معلوم تمہارے والدین اور تمہاری اولاد میں فائدے کے حوالے سے کون تمہارے زیادہ قریب ہے، یہ حصے اللہ کے مقرر کردہ ہیں، یقینا اللہ بڑا جاننے والا، باحکمت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah (thus) directs you as regards your Children's (Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females: if only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to each, if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased Left brothers (or sisters) the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases ('s) after the payment of legacies and debts. Ye know not whether your parents or your children are nearest to you in benefit. These are settled portions ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Al-wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah chargeth you concerning (the provision for) your children: to the male the equivalent of the portion of two females, and if there be women more than two, then theirs is two-thirds of the inheritance, and if there be one (only) then the half. And to each of his parents a sixth of the inheritance, if he have a son; and if he have no son and his parents are his heirs, then to his mother appertaineth the third; and if he have brethren, then to his mother appertaineth the sixth, after any legacy he may have bequeathed, or debt (hath been paid). Your parents and your children: Ye know not which of them is nearer unto you in usefulness. It is an injunction from Allah. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah enjoins you concerning your children: The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females; then if they are more than two females, they shall have two-thirds of what the deceased has left, and if there is one, she shall have the half; and as for his parents, each of them shall have the sixth of what he has left if he has a child, but if he has no child and (only) his two parents inherit him, then his mother shall have the third; but if he has brothers, then his mother shall have the sixth after (the payment of) a bequest he may have bequeathed or a debt; your parents and your children, you know not which of them is the nearer to you in usefulness; this is an ordinance from Allah: Surely Allah is Knowing, Wise.

اور تمہیں اپنی بیویوں کے ترکے میں سے اگر ان کی اولاد نہ ہو نصف حصہ ملے گا اور اگر ان کی اولاد ہو تو ان کے ترکے میں سے چوتھائی تمہارا ہو گا، یہ تقسیم میت کی وصیت پر عمل کرنے اور قرض ادا کرنے کے بعد ہو گی اور تمہاری اولاد نہ ہو تو انہیں تمہارے ترکے میں سے چوتھائی ملے گا اور اگر تمہاری اولاد ہو تو انہیں تمہارے ترکے میں سے آٹھواں حصہ ملے گا، یہ تقسیم تمہاری وصیت پر عمل کرنے اور قرض ادا کرنے کے بعد ہو گی اور اگر کوئی مرد یا عورت بے اولاد ہو اور والدین بھی زندہ نہ ہوں اور اس کا ایک بھائی یا ایک بہن ہو تو بھائی اور بہن میں سے ہر ایک کو چھٹا حصہ ملے گا، پس اگر بہن بھائی ایک سے زیادہ ہوں تو سب ایک تہائی حصے میں شریک ہوں گے، یہ تقسیم وصیت پرعمل کرنے اور قرض ادا کرنے کے بعد ہو گی، بشرطیکہ ضرر رساں نہ ہو، یہ نصیحت اللہ کی طرف سے ہے اور اللہ بڑا دانا، بردبار ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] In what your wives leave, your share is a half, if they leave no child; but if they leave a child, ye get a fourth; after payment of legacies and debts. In what ye leave, their share is a fourth, if ye leave no child; but if ye leave a child, they get an eighth; after payment of legacies and debts. If the man or woman whose inheritance is in question, has left neither ascendants nor descendants, but has left a brother or a sister, each one of the two gets a sixth; but if more than two, they share in a third; after payment of legacies and debts; so that no loss is caused (to any one). Thus is it ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Most Forbearing.
[ PICKTHAL ] And unto you belongeth a half of that which your wives leave, if they have no child; but if they have a child then unto you the fourth of that which they leave, after any legacy they may have bequeathed, or debt (they may have contracted, hath been paid). And unto them belongeth the fourth of that which ye leave if ye have no child, but if ye have a child then the eighth of that which ye leave, after any legacy ye may have bequeathed, or debt (ye may have contracted, hath been paid). And if a man or a woman have a distant heir (having left neither parent nor child), and he (or she) have a brother or a sister (only on the mother's side) then to each of them twain (the brother and the sister) the sixth, and if they be more than two, then they shall be sharers in the third, after any legacy that may have been bequeathed or debt (contracted) not injuring (the heirs by willing away more than a third of the heritage) hath been paid. A commandment from Allah. Allah is Knower, Indulgent.
[ SHAKIR ] And you shall have half of what your wives leave if they have no child, but if they have a child, then you shall have a fourth of what they leave after (payment of) any bequest they may have bequeathed or a debt; and they shall have the fourth of what you leave if you have no child, but if you have a child then they shall have the eighth of what you leave after (payment of) a bequest you may have bequeathed or a debt; and if a man or a woman leaves property to be inherited by neither parents nor offspring, and he (or she) has a brother or a sister, then each of them two shall have the sixth, but if they are more than that, they shall be sharers in the third after (payment of) any bequest that may have been bequeathed or a debt that does not harm (others); this is an ordinance from Allah: and Allah is Knowing, Forbearing.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 2
هُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ طِينٍ ثُمَّ قَضَىٰ أَجَلًا ۖ وَأَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى عِنْدَهُ ۖ ثُمَّ أَنْتُمْ تَمْتَرُونَ (2
وہ خدا وہ ہے جس نے تم کو مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے پھر ایک مدت کا فیصلہ کیا ہے اور ایک مقررہ مدت اس کے پاس اور بھی ہے لیکن اس کے بعد بھی تم شک کرتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] He it is created you from clay, and then decreed a stated term (for you). And there is in His presence another determined term; yet ye doubt within yourselves!
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who hath created you from clay, and hath decreed a term for you. A term is fixed with Him. Yet still ye doubt!
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who created you from clay, then He decreed a term; and there is a term named with Him; still you doubt.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 95
۞ إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَىٰ ۖ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُؤْفَكُونَ (95
خدا ہی وہ ہے جو گٹھلی اور دانے کا شگافتہ کرنے والا ہے -وہ لَردہ سے زندہ اور زندہ سے لَردہ کو نکالتا ہے. یہی تمہارا خدا ہے تو تم کدھر بہکے جارہے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] It is Allah Who causeth the seed-grain and the date-stone to split and sprout. He causeth the living to issue from the dead, and He is the one to cause the dead to issue from the living. That is Allah: then how are ye deluded away from the truth?
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! Allah (it is) Who splitteth the grain of corn and the date-stone (for sprouting). He bringeth forth the living from the dead, and is the bringer-forth of the dead from the living. Such is Allah. How then are ye perverted?
[ SHAKIR ] Surely Allah causes the grain and the stone to germinate; He brings forth the living from the dead and He is the bringer forth of the dead from the living; that is Allah! how are you then turned away.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 58
وَالْبَلَدُ الطَّيِّبُ يَخْرُجُ نَبَاتُهُ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِ ۖ وَالَّذِي خَبُثَ لَا يَخْرُجُ إِلَّا نَكِدًا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُصَرِّفُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَشْكُرُونَ (58
اور پاکیزہ زمین کا سبزہ بھی اس کے پروردگار کے حکم سے خوب نکلتا ہے اور جو زمین خبیث ہوتی ہے اس کا سبزہ بھی خراب نکلتا ہے ہم اسی طرح شکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے اپنی آیتیں الٹ پلٹ کر بیان کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] From the land that is clean and good, by the will of its Cherisher, springs up produce, (rich) after its kind: but from the land that is bad, springs up nothing but that which is niggardly: thus do we explain the signs by various (symbols) to those who are grateful.
[ PICKTHAL ] As for the good land, its vegetation cometh forth by permission of its Lord; while as for that which is bad, only the useless cometh forth (from it). Thus do We recount the tokens for people who give thanks.
[ SHAKIR ] And as for the good land, its vegetation springs forth (abundantly) by the permission of its Lord, and (as for) that which is inferior (its herbage) comes forth but scantily; thus do We repeat the communications for a people who give thanks.
- Sura: 9 - at-Tawba (The Repentance) Ayat: 34
۞ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْأَحْبَارِ وَالرُّهْبَانِ لَيَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَالَ النَّاسِ بِالْبَاطِلِ وَيَصُدُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۗ وَالَّذِينَ يَكْنِزُونَ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَلَا يُنْفِقُونَهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ (34
"ایمان والو نصارٰی کے بہت سے علمائ اور راہب ,لوگوں کے اموال کو ناجائز طریقہ سے کھاجاتے ہیں اور لوگوں کو راسِ خدا سے روکتے ہیں .... اور جو لوگ سونے چاندی کا ذخیرہ کرتے ہیں اور اسے راہ هخدا میں خرچ نہیں کرتے پیغمبر,آپ انہیں دردناک عذاب کی بشارت دے دیں"
[YOUSAF ALI] O ye who believe! there are indeed many among the priests and anchorites, who in Falsehood devour the substance of men and hinder (them) from the way of Allah. And there are those who bury gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah: announce unto them a most grievous penalty-
[ PICKTHAL ] O ye who believe! Lo! many of the (Jewish) rabbis and the (Christian) monks devour the wealth of mankind wantonly and debar (men) from the way of Allah. They who hoard up gold and silver and spend it not in the way of Allah, unto them give tidings (O Muhammad) of a painful doom,
[ SHAKIR ] O you who believe! most surely many of the doctors of law and the monks eat away the property of men falsely, and turn (them) from Allah's way; and (as for) those who hoard up gold and silver and do not spend it in Allah's way, announce to them a painful chastisement,
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 31
قُلْ مَنْ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَمَّنْ يَمْلِكُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَمَنْ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَمَنْ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ اللَّهُ ۚ فَقُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (31
پیغمبر ذرا ان سے پوچھئے کہ تمہیں زمین و آسمان سے کون رزق دیتا ہے اور کون تمہاری سماعت و بصارت کا مالک ہے اور کون لَردہ سے زندہ اور زندہ سے لَردہ کو نکالتا ہے اور کون سارے امور کی تدبیرکرتا ہے تو یہ سب یہی کہیں گے کہ اللہ !تو آپ کہئے کہ پھر اس سے کیوں نہیں ڈرتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Who provideth for you from the sky and the earth, or Who owneth hearing and sight; and Who bringeth forth the living from the dead and bringeth forth the dead from the living; and Who directeth the course? They will say: Allah. Then say: Will ye not then keep your duty (unto Him)?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? Or Who controls the hearing and the sight? And Who brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living? And Who regulates the affairs? Then they will say: Allah. Say then: Will you not then guard (against evil)?
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 61
وَمَا تَكُونُ فِي شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُو مِنْهُ مِنْ قُرْآنٍ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ إِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُودًا إِذْ تُفِيضُونَ فِيهِ ۚ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْ رَبِّكَ مِنْ مِثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَا أَصْغَرَ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرَ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (61
اور پیغمبر آپ کسی حال میں رہیں اور قرآن کے کسی حصہ کی تلاوت کریں اور اے لوگوں تم کوئی عمل کرو ہم تم سب کے گواہ ہوتے ہیں جب بھی کوئی عمل کرتے ہو اور تمہارے پروردگار سے زمین و آسمان کا کوئی ذرّہ دور نہیں ہے اور کوئی شے ذرّہ سے بڑی یا چھوٹی ایسی نہیں ہے جسے ہم نے اپنی کھلی کتاب میں جمع نہ کردیا ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record.
[ PICKTHAL ] And thou (Muhammad) art not occupied with any business and thou recitest not a Lecture from this (Scripture), and ye (mankind) perform no act, but We are Witness of you when ye are engaged therein. And not an atom's weight in the earth or in the sky escapeth your Lord, nor what is less than that or greater than that, but it is (written) in a clear Book.
[ SHAKIR ] And you are not (engaged) in any affair, nor do you recite concerning it any portion of the Quran, nor do you do any work but We are witnesses over you when you enter into it, and there does not lie concealed from your Lord the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven, nor any thing less than that nor greater, but it is in a clear book.
- Sura: 11 - Hud (Hud) Ayat: 7
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلًا ۗ وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ إِنَّكُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُبِينٌ (7
اور وہی وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ دنوں میں پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کا تخت اقتدار پانی پر تھا تاکہ تمہیں آزمائے کہ تم میں سب سے بہتر عمل کرنے والا کون ہے اور اگر آپ کہیں گے کہ تم لوگ موت کے بعد پھر اٹھائے جانے والے ہو تو یہ کافر کہیں گے کہ یہ تو صرف ایک کھلا ہوا جادو ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was over the waters - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. But if thou wert to say to them, "Ye shall indeed be raised up after death", the Unbelievers would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious sorcery!"
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was upon the water - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. Yet if thou (O Muhammad) sayest: Lo! ye will be raised again after death! those who disbelieve will surely say: This is naught but mere magic.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods-- and His dominion (extends) on the water-- that He might manifest to you, which of you is best in action, and if you say, surely you shall be raised up after death, those who disbelieve would certainly say: This is nothing but clear magic.
- Sura: 14 - Ibrahim (Abraham) Ayat: 50
سَرَابِيلُهُمْ مِنْ قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ (50
ان کے لباس قطران کے ہوں گے اور ان کے چہروں کو آگ ہر طرف سے ڈھانکے ہوئے ہوگی
[YOUSAF ALI] Their garments of liquid pitch, and their faces covered with Fire;
[ PICKTHAL ] Their raiment of pitch, and the Fire covering their faces,
[ SHAKIR ] Their shirts made of pitch and the fire covering their faces
- Sura: 14 - Ibrahim (Abraham) Ayat: 50
سَرَابِيلُهُمْ مِنْ قَطِرَانٍ وَتَغْشَىٰ وُجُوهَهُمُ النَّارُ (50
ان کے لباس قطران کے ہوں گے اور ان کے چہروں کو آگ ہر طرف سے ڈھانکے ہوئے ہوگی
[YOUSAF ALI] Their garments of liquid pitch, and their faces covered with Fire;
[ PICKTHAL ] Their raiment of pitch, and the Fire covering their faces,
[ SHAKIR ] Their shirts made of pitch and the fire covering their faces
- Sura: 15 - al-Hijr (The Rock) Ayat: 26
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ (26
اور ہم نے انسان کو سیاہی مائل نرم مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے جو سوکھ کر کھن کھن بولنے لگی تھی
[YOUSAF ALI] We created man from sounding clay, from mud moulded into shape;
[ PICKTHAL ] Verily We created man of potter's clay of black mud altered,
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 68 to 69
وَأَوْحَىٰ رَبُّكَ إِلَى النَّحْلِ أَنِ اتَّخِذِي مِنَ الْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًا وَمِنَ الشَّجَرِ وَمِمَّا يَعْرِشُونَ (68
اور تمہارے پروردگار نے شہد کی مکھی کو اشارہ دیا کہ پہاڑوں اور درختوں اور گھروں کی بلندیوں میں اپنے گھر بنائے
[YOUSAF ALI] And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations;
[ PICKTHAL ] And thy Lord inspired the bee, saying: Choose thou habitations in the hills and in the trees and in that which they thatch;
[ SHAKIR ] And your Lord revealed to the bee saying: Make hives in the mountains and in the trees and in what they build:
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) From Ayat: 68 to 69
ثُمَّ كُلِي مِنْ كُلِّ الثَّمَرَاتِ فَاسْلُكِي سُبُلَ رَبِّكِ ذُلُلًا ۚ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بُطُونِهَا شَرَابٌ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهُ فِيهِ شِفَاءٌ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (69
اس کے بعد مختلف پھلوں سے غذا حاصل کرے اور نرمی کے ساتھ خدائی راستہ پر چلے جس کے بعد اس کے شکم سے مختلف قسم کے مشروب برآمد ہوں گے جس میں پورے عالم انسانیت کے لئے شفا کا سامان ہے اور اس میں بھی فکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے ایک نشانی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought.
[ PICKTHAL ] Then eat of all fruits, and follow the ways of thy Lord, made smooth (for thee). There cometh forth from their bellies a drink divers of hues, wherein is healing for mankind. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] Then eat of all the fruits and walk in the ways of your Lord submissively. There comes forth from within it a beverage of many colours, in which there is healing for men; most surely there is a sign in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) Ayat: 51
أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا ۖ قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ ۖ قُلْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا (51
یا تمہارے خیال میں جو اس سے بڑی مخلوق ہوسکتی ہو وہ بن جاؤ پس عنقریب یہ لوگ کہیں گے کہ ہمیں کون دوبارہ واپس لاسکتا ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ جس نے تمہیں پہلی مرتبہ پیدا کیا ہے پھر یہ لوگ استہزائ میں سر ہلائیں گے اور کہیں گے کہ یہ سب کب ہوگا تو کہہ دیجئے کہ شاید قریب ہی ہوجائے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Or created matter which, in your minds, is hardest (to be raised up),- (Yet shall ye be raised up)!" then will they say: "Who will cause us to return?" Say: "He who created you first!" Then will they wag their heads towards thee, and say, "When will that be?" Say, "May be it will be quite soon!
[ PICKTHAL ] Or some created thing that is yet greater in your thoughts! Then they will say: Who shall bring us back (to life). Say: He Who created you at the first. Then will they shake their heads at thee, and say: When will it be? Say: It will perhaps be soon;
[ SHAKIR ] Or some other creature of those which are too hard (to receive life) in your minds! But they will say: Who will return us? Say: Who created you at first. Still they will shake their heads at you and say: When will it be? Say: Maybe it has drawn nigh.
- Sura: 18 - al-Kahf (The Cave) Ayat: 29
وَقُلِ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِنْ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ ۚ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا ۚ وَإِنْ يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِي الْوُجُوهَ ۚ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ وَسَاءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا (29
اور کہہ دو کہ حق تمہارے پروردگار کی طرف سے ہے اب جس کا جی چاہے ایمان لے آئے اورجس کا جی چاہے کافر ہوجائے ہم نے یقینا کافرین کے لئے اس آگ کا انتظام کردیا ہے جس کے پردے چاروں طرف سے گھیرے ہوں گے اور وہ فریاد بھی کریں گے تو پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کی طرح کے کھولتے ہوئے پانی سے ان کی فریاد رسی کی جائے گی جو چہروں کو بھون ڈالے گا یہ بدترین مشروب ہے اور جہنم ّبدترین ٹھکانا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on!
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: (It is) the truth from the Lord of you (all). Then whosoever will, let him believe, and whosoever will, let him disbelieve. Lo! We have prepared for disbelievers Fire. Its tent encloseth them. If they ask for showers, they will be showered with water like to molten lead which burneth the faces. Calamitous the drink and ill the resting-place!
[ SHAKIR ] And say: The truth is from your Lord, so let him who please believe, and let him who please disbelieve; surely We have prepared for the iniquitous a fire, the curtains of which shall encompass them about; and if they cry for water, they shall be given water like molten brass which will scald their faces; evil the drink and ill the resting-place.
- Sura: 18 - al-Kahf (The Cave) Ayat: 31
أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًا مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۚ نِعْمَ الثَّوَابُ وَحَسُنَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا (31
ان کے لئے وہ دائمی جنتیں ہیں جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوں گی انہیں سونے کے کنگنپہنائے جائیں گے اور یہ باریک اور دبیز ریشم کے سبز لباس میں ملبوس اور تختوں پر تکیے لگائے بیٹھے ہوں گے یہی ان کے لئے بہترین ثواب اورحسین ترین منزل ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] For them will be Gardens of Eternity; beneath them rivers will flow; they will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold, and they will wear green garments of fine silk and heavy brocade: They will recline therein on raised thrones. How good the recompense! How beautiful a couch to recline on!
[ PICKTHAL ] As for such, theirs will be Gardens of Eden, wherein rivers flow beneath them; therein they will be given armlets of gold and will wear green robes of finest silk and gold embroidery, reclining upon throne therein. Blest the reward, and fair the resting-place!
[ SHAKIR ] These it is for whom are gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, ornaments shall be given to them therein of bracelets of gold, and they shall wear green robes of fine silk and thick silk brocade interwoven with gold, reclining therein on raised couches; excellent the recompense and goodly the resting place.
- Sura: 18 - al-Kahf (The Cave) Ayat: 96
آتُونِي زُبَرَ الْحَدِيدِ ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا سَاوَىٰ بَيْنَ الصَّدَفَيْنِ قَالَ انْفُخُوا ۖ حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَعَلَهُ نَارًا قَالَ آتُونِي أُفْرِغْ عَلَيْهِ قِطْرًا (96
چند لوہے کی سلیں لے آؤ- یہاں تک کہ جب دونوں پہاڑوں کے برابر ڈھیر ہوگیا تو کہا کہ آگ پھونکو یہاں تک کہ جب اسے بالکل آگ بنادیا تو کہا آؤ اب اس پر تانبا پگھلا کر ڈال دیں
[YOUSAF ALI] "Bring me blocks of iron." At length, when he had filled up the space between the two steep mountain-sides, He said, "Blow (with your bellows)" Then, when he had made it (red) as fire, he said: "Bring me, that I may pour over it, molten lead."
[ PICKTHAL ] Give me pieces of iron - till, when he had levelled up (the gap) between the cliffs, he said: Blow! - till, when he had made it a fire, he said: Bring me molten copper to pour thereon.
[ SHAKIR ] Bring me blocks of iron; until when he had filled up the space between the two mountain sides, he said: Blow, until when he had made it (as) fire, he said: Bring me molten brass which I may pour over it.
- Sura: 18 - al-Kahf (The Cave) Ayat: 96

- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 30
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ (30
کیا ان کافروں نے یہ نہیں دیکھا کہ یہ زمین و آسمان آپس میں جڑے ہوئے تھے اور ہم نے ان کو الگ کیا ہے اور ہر جاندار کو پانی سے قرار دیا ہے پھر کیا یہ لوگ ایمان نہ لائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of creation), before we clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were of one piece, then We parted them, and we made every living thing of water? Will they not then believe?
[ SHAKIR ] Do not those who disbelieve see that the heavens and the earth were closed up, but We have opened them; and We have made of water everything living, will they not then believe?
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 21
وَلَهُمْ مَقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ (21
اور ان کے لئے لوہے کے گرز مہیاّ کئے گئے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] In addition there will be maces of iron (to punish) them.
[ PICKTHAL ] And for them are hooked rods of iron.
[ SHAKIR ] And for them are whips of iron.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 21
وَلَهُمْ مَقَامِعُ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ (21
اور ان کے لئے لوہے کے گرز مہیاّ کئے گئے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] In addition there will be maces of iron (to punish) them.
[ PICKTHAL ] And for them are hooked rods of iron.
[ SHAKIR ] And for them are whips of iron.
- Sura: 22 - al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) Ayat: 23
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدْخِلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَلُؤْلُؤًا ۖ وَلِبَاسُهُمْ فِيهَا حَرِيرٌ (23
بیشک اللہ صاحبان هایمان اور نیک عمل کرنے والوں کو ان جنتوں میں داخل کرتا ہے جن کے نیچے نہریں جاری ہوتی ہیں انہیں ان جنتوں میں سونے کے کنگن اور موتی پہنائے جائیں گے اور ان کا لباس اس جنّت میں ریشم کا لباس ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah will admit those who believe and work righteous deeds, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow: they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls; and their garments there will be of silk.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! Allah will cause those who believe and do good works to enter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will be allowed armlets of gold, and pearls, and their raiment therein will be silk.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely Allah will make those who believe and do good deeds enter gardens beneath which rivers flow; they shall be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and (with) pearls, and their garments therein shall be of silk.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) Ayat: 20
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ تَنْتَشِرُونَ (20
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے ایک یہ بھی ہے کہ اس نے تمہیں خاک سے پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کے بعد تم بشر کی شکل میں پھیل گئے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then,- behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)!
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: He created you of dust, and behold you human beings, ranging widely!
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that He created you from dust, then lo! you are mortals (who) scatter.
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) Ayat: 3
وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لَا تَأْتِينَا السَّاعَةُ ۖ قُلْ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّي لَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْ عَالِمِ الْغَيْبِ ۖ لَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْهُ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا أَصْغَرُ مِنْ ذَٰلِكَ وَلَا أَكْبَرُ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (3
اور کفّار کہتے ہیں کہ قیامت آنے والی نہیں ہے تو آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ میرے پروردگار کی قسم وہ ضرور آئے گی وہ عالم الغیب ہے اس کے علم سے آسمان و زمین کا کوئی ذرّہ دور نہیں ہے اور نہ اس سے چھوٹا اور نہ بڑا بلکہ سب کچھ اس کی روشن کتاب میں محفوظ ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] The Unbelievers say, "Never to us will come the Hour": Say, "Nay! but most surely, by my Lord, it will come upon you;- by Him Who knows the unseen,- from Whom is not hidden the least little atom in the heavens or on earth: Nor is there anything less than that, or greater, but is in the Record Perspicuous:
[ PICKTHAL ] Those who disbelieve say: The Hour will never come unto us. Say: Nay, by my Lord, but it is coming unto you surely. (He is) the Knower of the Unseen. Not an atom's weight, or less than that or greater, escapeth Him in the heavens or in the earth, but it is in a clear Record,
[ SHAKIR ] And those who disbelieve say: The hour shall not come upon us. Say: Yea! by my Lord, the Knower of the unseen, it shall certainly come upon you; not the weight of an atom becomes absent from Him, in the heavens or in the earth, and neither less than that nor greater, but (all) is in a clear book
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) Ayat: 10
۞ وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ مِنَّا فَضْلًا ۖ يَا جِبَالُ أَوِّبِي مَعَهُ وَالطَّيْرَ ۖ وَأَلَنَّا لَهُ الْحَدِيدَ (10
اور ہم نے داؤد کو یہ فضل عطا کیا کہ پہاڑو تم ان کے ساتھ تسبیح پروردگار کیا کرو اور پرندوں کو لَسخّر کردیا اور لوہے کو نرم کردیا
[YOUSAF ALI] We bestowed Grace aforetime on David from ourselves: "O ye Mountains! Sing ye back the Praises of Allah with him! and ye birds (also)! And We made the iron soft for him;-
[ PICKTHAL ] And assuredly We gave David grace from Us, (saying): O ye hills and birds, echo his psalms of praise! And We made the iron supple unto him,
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We gave to Dawood excellence from Us: O mountains! sing praises with him, and the birds; and We made the iron pliant to him,
- Sura: 34 - Saba (Sheba) Ayat: 22
قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيهِمَا مِنْ شِرْكٍ وَمَا لَهُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ ظَهِيرٍ (22
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ تم لوگ انہیں پکارو جن کااللہ کو چھوڑ کر تمہیں خیال تھا تو دیکھو گے کہ یہ آسمان و زمین میں ایک ذرہ ّ برابر اختیار نہیں رکھتے ہیں اور ان کا آسمان و زمین میں کوئی حصہّ ہے اور نہ ان میں سے کوئی ان لوگوں کا پشت پناہ ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Call upon other (gods) whom ye fancy, besides Allah: They have no power,- not the weight of an atom,- in the heavens or on earth: No (sort of) share have they therein, nor is any of them a helper to Allah.
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (O Muhammad): Call upon those whom ye set up beside Allah! They possess not an atom's weight either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor hath He an auxiliary among them.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Call upon those whom you assert besides Allah; they do not control the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth nor have they any partnership in either, nor has He among them any one to back (Him) up.
- Sura: 35 - Faatir (The Originator) Ayat: 11
وَاللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ مِنْ تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ۚ وَمَا تَحْمِلُ مِنْ أُنْثَىٰ وَلَا تَضَعُ إِلَّا بِعِلْمِهِ ۚ وَمَا يُعَمَّرُ مِنْ مُعَمَّرٍ وَلَا يُنْقَصُ مِنْ عُمُرِهِ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ (11
اوراللہ ہی نے تم کو خاک سے پیدا کیا پھر نطفہ سے بنایا پھر تمہیں جوڑا قرار دیا اور جو کچھ عورت اپنے شکم میں اٹھاتی ہے یا پیدا کرتی ہے سب اس کے علم سے ہوتا ہے اور کسی بھی طویل العمر کو جو عمر دی جاتی ہے یا عمر میں کمی کی جاتی ہے یہ سب کتاب الٰہی میں مذکور ہے اوراللہ کے لئے یہ سب کام بہت آسان ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And Allah did create you from dust; then from a sperm-drop; then He made you in pairs. And no female conceives, or lays down (her load), but with His knowledge. Nor is a man long-lived granted length of days, nor is a part cut off from his life, but is in a Decree (ordained). All this is easy to Allah.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah created you from dust, then from a little fluid, then He made you pairs (the male and female). No female beareth or bringeth forth save with His knowledge. And no-one groweth old who groweth old, nor is aught lessened of his life, but it is recorded in a Book, Lo! that is easy for Allah.
[ SHAKIR ] And Allah created you of dust, then of the life-germ, then He made you pairs; and no female bears, nor does she bring forth, except with His knowledge; and no one whose life is lengthened has his life lengthened, nor is aught diminished of one's life, but it is all in a book; surely this is easy to Allah.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 36
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ (36
پاک و بے نیاز ہے وہ خدا جس نے تمام جوڑوں کو پیدا کیا ہے ان چیزوں میں سے جنہیں زمین اگاتی ہے اور ان کے نفوس میں سے اور ان چیزوں میں سے جن کا انہیں علم بھی نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces, as well as their own (human) kind and (other) things of which they have no knowledge.
[ PICKTHAL ] Glory be to Him Who created all the sexual pairs, of that which the earth groweth, and of themselves, and of that which they know not!
[ SHAKIR ] Glory be to Him Who created pairs of all things, of what the earth grows, and of their kind and of what they do not know.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَلَوْلَا أَنْ يَكُونَ النَّاسُ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً لَجَعَلْنَا لِمَنْ يَكْفُرُ بِالرَّحْمَٰنِ لِبُيُوتِهِمْ سُقُفًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَمَعَارِجَ عَلَيْهَا يَظْهَرُونَ (33
اور اگر ایسا نہ ہوتا کہ تمام لوگ ایک ہی قوم ہوجائیں گے تو ہم رحمٰن کا انکار کرنے والوںکے لئے ان کے گھر کی چھتیں اور سیڑھیاں جن پر یہ چڑھتے ہیں سب کو چاند ی کا بنادیتے
[YOUSAF ALI] And were it not that (all) men might become of one (evil) way of life, We would provide, for everyone that blasphemes against (Allah) Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses and (silver) stair-ways on which to go up,
[ PICKTHAL ] And were it not that mankind would have become one community, We might well have appointed, for those who disbelieve in the Beneficent, roofs of silver for their houses and stairs (of silver) whereby to mount,
[ SHAKIR ] And were it not that all people had been a single nation, We would certainly have assigned to those who disbelieve in the Beneficent Allah (to make) of silver the roofs of their houses and the stairs by which they ascend.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ أَبْوَابًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيْهَا يَتَّكِئُونَ (34
اور ان کے گھر کے دروازے اور وہ تخت جن پر وہ تکیہ لگا کر بیٹھتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And (silver) doors to their houses, and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,
[ PICKTHAL ] And for their houses doors (of silver) and couches of silver whereon to recline,
[ SHAKIR ] And the doors of their houses and the couches on which they recline,
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَزُخْرُفًا ۚ وَإِنْ كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَّا مَتَاعُ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا ۚ وَالْآخِرَةُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ (35
اور سونے کے بھی . لیکن یہ سب صرف زندگانی دنیا کی لّذت کا سامان ہے اور آخرت پروردگار کے نزدیک صرف صاحبانِ تقویٰ کے لئے ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And also adornments of gold. But all this were nothing but conveniences of the present life: The Hereafter, in the sight of thy Lord is for the Righteous.
[ PICKTHAL ] And ornaments of gold. Yet all that would have been but a provision of the life of the world. And the Hereafter with your Lord would have been for those who keep from evil.
[ SHAKIR ] And (other) embellishments of gold; and all this is naught but provision of this world's life, and the hereafter is with your Lord only for those who guard (against evil).
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَمَنْ يَعْشُ عَنْ ذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ نُقَيِّضْ لَهُ شَيْطَانًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرِينٌ (36
اور جو شخص بھی اللہ کے ذکر کی طرف سے اندھا ہوجائے گا ہم اس کے لئے ایک شیطان مقرر کردیں گے جو اس کا ساتھی اور ہم نشین ہوگا
[YOUSAF ALI] If anyone withdraws himself from remembrance of (Allah) Most Gracious, We appoint for him an evil one, to be an intimate companion to him.
[ PICKTHAL ] And he whose sight is dim to the remembrance of the Beneficent, We assign unto him a devil who becometh his comrade;
[ SHAKIR ] And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ وَيَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ مُهْتَدُونَ (37
اور یہ شیاطین ان لوگوں کو راستہ سے روکتے رہتے ہیں اور یہ یہی خیال کرتے ہیں کہ یہ ہدایت یافتہ ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Such (evil ones) really hinder them from the Path, but they think that they are being guided aright!
[ PICKTHAL ] And lo! they surely turn them from the way of Allah, and yet they deem that they are rightly guided;
[ SHAKIR ] And most surely they turn them away from the path, and they think that they are guided aright:
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ (38
یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارے پاس آئیں گے تو کہیں گے کہ اے کاش ہمارے اور ان کے درمیان مشرق و مغرب کا فاصلہ ہوتا یہ تو بڑا بدترین ساتھی نکلا
[YOUSAF ALI] At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)!
[ PICKTHAL ] Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade!
[ SHAKIR ] Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate!
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَلَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ إِذْ ظَلَمْتُمْ أَنَّكُمْ فِي الْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ (39
اور یہ ساری باتیں آج تمہارے کام آنے والی نہیں ہیں کہ تم سب عذاب میں برابر کے شریک ہو کہ تم نے بھی ظلم کیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] When ye have done wrong, it will avail you nothing, that Day, that ye shall be partners in Punishment!
[ PICKTHAL ] And it profiteth you not this day, because ye did wrong, that ye will be sharers in the doom.
[ SHAKIR ] And since you were unjust, it will not profit you this day that you are sharers in the chastisement.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
أَفَأَنْتَ تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِي الْعُمْيَ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ (40
پیغمبر کیا آپ بہرے کو سنا سکتے ہیں یا اندھے کو راستہ دکھاسکتے ہیں یا اسے ہدایت دے سکتے ہیں جو ضلال مبین میں مبتلا ہوجائے
[YOUSAF ALI] Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error?
[ PICKTHAL ] Canst thou (Muhammad) make the deaf to hear, or canst thou guide the blind or him who is in error manifest?
[ SHAKIR ] What! can you then make the deaf to hear or guide the blind and him who is in clear error?
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
فَإِمَّا نَذْهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنَّا مِنْهُمْ مُنْتَقِمُونَ (41
پھر ہم یا تو آپ کو دنیا سے اٹھالیں گے تو ہمیں تو ان سے بہرحال بدلہ لینا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Even if We take thee away, We shall be sure to exact retribution from them,
[ PICKTHAL ] And if We take thee away, We surely shall take vengeance on them,
[ SHAKIR ] But if We should take you away, still We shall inflict retribution on them;
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
أَوْ نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذِي وَعَدْنَاهُمْ فَإِنَّا عَلَيْهِمْ مُقْتَدِرُونَ (42
یا پھر عذاب آپ کو دکھا کر ہی نازل کریں گے کہ ہم اس کا بھی اختیار رکھنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Or We shall show thee that (accomplished) which We have promised them: for verily We shall prevail over them.
[ PICKTHAL ] Or (if) We show thee that wherewith We threaten them; for lo! We have complete command of them.
[ SHAKIR ] Rather We will certainly show you that which We have promised them; for surely We are the possessors of full power over them.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
فَاسْتَمْسِكْ بِالَّذِي أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَقِيمٍ (43
لہذا آپ اس حکم کو مضبوطی سے پکڑے رہیں جس کی وحی کی گئی ہے کہ یقینا آپ بالکل سیدھے راستہ پر ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way.
[ PICKTHAL ] So hold thou fast to that which is inspired in thee. Lo! thou art on a right path.
[ SHAKIR ] Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكْرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَوْمِكَ ۖ وَسَوْفَ تُسْأَلُونَ (44
اور یہ قرآن آپ کے لئے اور آپ کی قوم کے لئے نصیحت کا سامان ہے اور عنقریب تم سب سے باز اَپرس کی جائے گی
[YOUSAF ALI] The (Qur'an) is indeed the message, for thee and for thy people; and soon shall ye (all) be brought to account.
[ PICKTHAL ] And lo! it is in truth a Reminder for thee and for thy folk; and ye will be questioned.
[ SHAKIR ] And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَاسْأَلْ مَنْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا أَجَعَلْنَا مِنْ دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ آلِهَةً يُعْبَدُونَ (45
اور آپ ان رسولوں سے سوال کریں جنہیں آپ سے پہلے بھیجا گیا ہے کیا ہم نے رحمٰن کے علاوہ بھی خدا قرار دیئے ہیں جن کی پرستش کی جائے
[YOUSAF ALI] And question thou our messengers whom We sent before thee; did We appoint any deities other than (Allah) Most Gracious, to be worshipped?
[ PICKTHAL ] And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before thee: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped beside the Beneficent?
[ SHAKIR ] And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah?
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53

اور ہم نے موسٰی علیہ السّلام کو اپنی نشانیوں کے ساتھ فرعون اور اس کے رؤساءِ قوم کی طرف بھیجا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں رب العالمین کی طرف سے رسول ہوں
[YOUSAF ALI] We did send Moses aforetime, with Our Signs, to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: He said, "I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds."
[ PICKTHAL ] And verily We sent Moses with Our revelations unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said: I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds.
[ SHAKIR ] And certainly We sent Musa with Our communications to Firon and his chiefs, so he said: Surely I am the messenger of the Lord of the worlds.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِآيَاتِنَا إِذَا هُمْ مِنْهَا يَضْحَكُونَ (47
لیکن جب ہماری نشانیوں کو پیش کیا تو وہ سب مضحکہ اڑانے لگے
[YOUSAF ALI] But when he came to them with Our Signs, behold they ridiculed them.
[ PICKTHAL ] But when he brought them Our tokens, behold! they laughed at them.
[ SHAKIR ] But when he came to them with Our signs, lo! they laughed at them.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَمَا نُرِيهِمْ مِنْ آيَةٍ إِلَّا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ مِنْ أُخْتِهَا ۖ وَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ بِالْعَذَابِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ (48
اور ہم انہیں جو بھی نشانی دکھلاتے تھے وہ پہلے والی نشانی سے بڑھ کر ہی ہوتی تھی اور پھر انہیں عذاب کی گرفت میں لے لیا کہ شاید اسی طرح راستہ پر واپس آجائیں
[YOUSAF ALI] We showed them Sign after Sign, each greater than its fellow, and We seized them with Punishment, in order that they might turn (to Us).
[ PICKTHAL ] And every token that We showed them was greater than its sister (token), and We grasped them with the torment, that haply they might turn again.
[ SHAKIR ] And We did not show them a sign but it was greater than its like, and We overtook them with chastisement that they may turn.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَقَالُوا يَا أَيُّهَ السَّاحِرُ ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ بِمَا عَهِدَ عِنْدَكَ إِنَّنَا لَمُهْتَدُونَ (49
اور ان لوگوں نے کہا کہ اے جادوگر (موسٰی) اپنے رب سے ہمارے بارے میں اس بات کی دعا کر جس بات کا تجھ سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے تو ہم یقینا راستہ پر آجائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And they said, "O thou sorcerer! Invoke thy Lord for us according to His covenant with thee; for we shall truly accept guidance."
[ PICKTHAL ] And they said: O wizard! Entreat thy Lord for us by the pact that He hath made with thee. Lo! we verily will walk aright.
[ SHAKIR ] And they said: O magician! call on your Lord for our sake, as He has made the covenant with you; we shall surely be the followers of the right way.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
فَلَمَّا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمُ الْعَذَابَ إِذَا هُمْ يَنْكُثُونَ (50
لیکن جب ہم نے عذاب کو دور کردیا تو انہوں نے عہد کو توڑ دیا
[YOUSAF ALI] But when We removed the Penalty from them, behold, they broke their word.
[ PICKTHAL ] But when We eased them of the torment, behold! they broke their word.
[ SHAKIR ] But when We removed from them the chastisement, lo! they broke the pledge.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
وَنَادَىٰ فِرْعَوْنُ فِي قَوْمِهِ قَالَ يَا قَوْمِ أَلَيْسَ لِي مُلْكُ مِصْرَ وَهَٰذِهِ الْأَنْهَارُ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِي ۖ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ (51
اور فرعون نے اپنی قوم سے پکار کر کہا اے قوم کیا یہ ملک مصر میرا نہیں ہے اور کیا یہ نہریں جو میرے قدموں کے نیچے جاری ہیں یہ سب میری نہیں ہیں پھر تمہیں کیوں نظر نہیں آرہا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, (witness) these streams flowing underneath my (palace)? What! see ye not then?
[ PICKTHAL ] And Pharaoh caused a proclamation to be made among his people saying: O my people! Is not mine the sovereignty of Egypt and these rivers flowing under me? Can ye not then discern?
[ SHAKIR ] And Firon proclaimed amongst his people: O my people! is not the kingdom of Egypt mine? And these rivers flow beneath me; do you not then see?
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
أَمْ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ مَهِينٌ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُبِينُ (52
کیا میں اس شخص سے بہتر نہیں ہوں جو پست حیثیت کا آدمی ہے اور صاف بول بھی نہیں پاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Am I not better than this (Moses), who is a contemptible wretch and can scarcely express himself clearly?
[ PICKTHAL ] I am surely better than this fellow, who is despicable and can hardly make (his meaning) plain!
[ SHAKIR ] Nay! I am better than this fellow, who is contemptible, and who can hardly speak distinctly:
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) From Ayat: 33 to 53
فَلَوْلَا أُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِ أَسْوِرَةٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ جَاءَ مَعَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ مُقْتَرِنِينَ (53
پھر کیوں اس کے اوپر سونے کے کنگن نہیں نازل کئے گئے اور کیوں اس کے ساتھ ملائکہ جمع ہوکر نہیں آئے
[YOUSAF ALI] "Then why are not gold bracelets bestowed on him, or (why) come (not) with him angels accompanying him in procession?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Why, then, have armlets of gold not been set upon him, or angels sent along with him?
[ SHAKIR ] But why have not bracelets of gold been put upon him, or why have there not come with him angels as companions?
- Sura: 44 - ad-Dukhaan (The Smoke) From Ayat: 45 to 46
كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ (45
وہ پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کی مانند پیٹ میں جوش کھائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] Like molten brass; it will boil in their insides.
[ PICKTHAL ] Like molten brass, it seetheth in their bellies
[ SHAKIR ] Like dregs of oil; it shall boil in (their) bellies,
- Sura: 44 - ad-Dukhaan (The Smoke) From Ayat: 45 to 46
كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ (46
جیسے گرم پانی جوش کھاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Like the boiling of scalding water.
[ PICKTHAL ] As the seething of boiling water.
[ SHAKIR ] Like the boiling of hot water.
- Sura: 51 - adh-Dhaariyat (The Winnowing Winds) Ayat: 49
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ (49
اور ہر شے میں سے ہم نے جوڑا بنایا ہے کہ شاید تم نصیحت حاصل کرسکو
[YOUSAF ALI] And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction.
[ PICKTHAL ] And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful.
- Sura: 57 - al-Hadid (The Iron) Ayat: 25
لَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا رُسُلَنَا بِالْبَيِّنَاتِ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْمِيزَانَ لِيَقُومَ النَّاسُ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَأَنْزَلْنَا الْحَدِيدَ فِيهِ بَأْسٌ شَدِيدٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ اللَّهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُ وَرُسُلَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزِيزٌ (25
بیشک ہم نے اپنے رسولوں کو واضح دلائل کے ساتھ بھیجا ہے اور ان کے ساتھ کتاب اور میزان کو نازل کیا ہے تاکہ لوگ انصاف کے ساتھ قیام کریں اور ہم نے لوہے کو بھی نازل کیا ہے جس میں شدید جنگ کا سامان اور بہت سے دوسرے منافع بھی ہیں اور اس لئے کہ خدا یہ دیکھے کہ کون ہے جو بغیر دیکھے اس کی اور اس کے رسول کی مدد کرتا ہے اور یقینا اللہ بڑا صاحبِ قوت اور صاحبِ عزت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We sent aforetime our messengers with Clear Signs and sent down with them the Book and the Balance (of Right and Wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down Iron, in which is (material for) mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, Unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of Strength, Exalted in Might (and able to enforce His Will).
[ PICKTHAL ] We verily sent Our messengers with clear proofs, and revealed with them the Scripture and the Balance, that mankind may observe right measure; and He revealed iron, wherein is mighty power and (many) uses for mankind, and that Allah may know him who helpeth Him and His messengers, though unseen. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty.
[ SHAKIR ] Certainly We sent Our messengers with clear arguments, and sent down with them the Book and the balance that men may conduct themselves with equity; and We have made the iron, wherein is great violence and advantages to men, and that Allah may know who helps Him and His messengers in the secret; surely Allah is Strong, Mighty.
- Sura: 70 - al-Ma`aarij (The Ascending Stairways) From Ayat: 8 to 9
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ (8
جس دن آسمان پگھلے ہوئے تانبے کے مانند ہوجائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] The Day that the sky will be like molten brass,
[ PICKTHAL ] The day when the sky will become as molten copper,
[ SHAKIR ] On the day when the heaven shall be as molten copper
- Sura: 70 - al-Ma`aarij (The Ascending Stairways) From Ayat: 8 to 9
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ (9
اور پہاڑ دھنکے ہوئے اون جیسے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the mountains will be like wool,
[ PICKTHAL ] And the hills become as flakes of wool,
[ SHAKIR ] And the mountains shall be as tufts of wool
- Sura: 99 - az-Zalzal (The Earthquake) From Ayat: 7 to 8
فَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ (7
پھر جس شخص نے ذرہ برابر نیکی کی ہے وہ اسے دیکھے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it!
[ PICKTHAL ] And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then,
[ SHAKIR ] So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it
- Sura: 99 - az-Zalzal (The Earthquake) From Ayat: 7 to 8
وَمَنْ يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ (8
اور جس نے ذرہ برابر برائی کی ہے وہ اسے دیکھے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it.
[ PICKTHAL ] And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then.
[ SHAKIR ] And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it.
