- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 59
۞ وَعِنْدَهُ مَفَاتِحُ الْغَيْبِ لَا يَعْلَمُهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۚ وَمَا تَسْقُطُ مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ إِلَّا يَعْلَمُهَا وَلَا حَبَّةٍ فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْأَرْضِ وَلَا رَطْبٍ وَلَا يَابِسٍ إِلَّا فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ (59
اور اس کے پاس غیب کے خزانے ہیں جنہیں اس کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں جانتا ہے اور وہ خشک و تر سب کا جاننے والا ہے -کوئی پتہ بھی گرتا ہے تو اسے اس کا علم ہے زمین کی تاریکیوں میں کوئی دانہ یا کوئی خشک و تر ایسا نہیں ہے جو کتاب همبین کے اندر محفوظ نہ ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] With Him are the keys of the unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a record clear (to those who can read).
[ PICKTHAL ] And with Him are the keys of the Invisible. None but He knoweth them. And He knoweth what is in the land and the sea. Not a leaf falleth but He knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.
[ SHAKIR ] And with Him are the keys of the unseen treasures-- none knows them but He; and He knows what is in the land and the sea, and there falls not a leaf but He knows it, nor a grain in the darkness of the earth, nor anything green nor dry but (it is all) in a clear book.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 96 to 97
فَالِقُ الْإِصْبَاحِ وَجَعَلَ اللَّيْلَ سَكَنًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ حُسْبَانًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (96
وہ نور سحر کا شگافتہ کرنے والا ہے اور اس نے رات کو وجہ سکون اور شمس و قمر کو ذریعہ حساب بنایا ہے . یہ اس صاحب هعزّت و حکمت کی مقرر کردہ تقدیر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He it is that cleaveth the day-break (from the dark): He makes the night for rest and tranquillity, and the sun and moon for the reckoning (of time): Such is the judgment and ordering of (Him), the Exalted in Power, the Omniscient.
[ PICKTHAL ] He is the Cleaver of the Daybreak, and He hath appointed the night for stillness, and the sun and the moon for reckoning. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
[ SHAKIR ] He causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning; this is an arrangement of the Mighty, the Knowing.
- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 96 to 97
وَهُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ النُّجُومَ لِتَهْتَدُوا بِهَا فِي ظُلُمَاتِ الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ ۗ قَدْ فَصَّلْنَا الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (97
وہی وہ ہے جس نے تمہارے لئے ستارے مقرر کئے ہیں کہ ان کے ذریعہ خشکی اور تری کی تاریکیوں میں راستہ معلوم کرسکو -ہم نے تمام نشانیوں کو اس قوم کے لئے تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کیا ہے جو جاننے والی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who hath set for you the stars that ye may guide your course by them amid the darkness of the land and the sea. We have detailed Our revelations for a people who have knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who has made the stars for you that you might follow the right way thereby in the darkness of the land and the sea; truly We have made plain the communications for a people who know.
- Sura: 7 - al-A`araaf (The Heights) Ayat: 54
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ ۗ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ ۗ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ (54
بیشک تمہارا پروردگار وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں اور زمین کو چھ دن میں پیدا کیا ہے اور اس کے بعد عرش پر اپنا اقتدار قائم کیا ہے وہ رات کو دن پر ڈھانپ دیتاہے اور رات تیزی سے اس کے پیچھے دوڑا کرتی ہے اور آفتاب و ماہتاب اور ستارے سب اسی کے حکم کے تابع ہیں اسی کے لئے خلق بھی ہے اور امر بھی وہ نہایت ہی صاحب هبرکت اللہ ہے جو عالمین کا پالنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! your Lord is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days, then mounted He the Throne. He covereth the night with the day, which is in haste to follow it, and hath made the sun and the moon and the stars subservient by His command. His verily is all creation and commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds!
[ SHAKIR ] Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the creation and the command; blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 5 to 6
هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ الشَّمْسَ ضِيَاءً وَالْقَمَرَ نُورًا وَقَدَّرَهُ مَنَازِلَ لِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابَ ۚ مَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ ذَٰلِكَ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۚ يُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ (5
اسی خدا نے آفتاب کو روشنی اورچاند کو نور بنایا ہے پھر چاند کی منزلیں مقرر کی ہیں تاکہ ان کے ذریعہ برسوں کی تعداد اور دوسرے حسابات دریافت کرسکو -یہ سب خدا نے صرف حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے کہ وہ صاحبان هعلم کے لئے اپنی آیتوں کو تفصیل کے ساتھ بیان کرتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who made the sun to be a shining glory and the moon to be a light (of beauty), and measured out stages for her; that ye might know the number of years and the count (of time). Nowise did Allah create this but in truth and righteousness. (Thus) doth He explain His Signs in detail, for those who understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who appointed the sun a splendour and the moon a light, and measured for her stages, that ye might know the number of the years, and the reckoning. Allah created not (all) that save in truth. He detaileth the revelations for people who have knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] He it is Who made the sun a shining brightness and the moon a light, and ordained for it mansions that you might know the computation of years and the reckoning. Allah did not create it but with truth; He makes the signs manifest for a people who
- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) From Ayat: 5 to 6
إِنَّ فِي اخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَّقُونَ (6
بیشک دن رات کی آمدورفت اور جو کچھ خدا نے آسمان و زمین میں پیدا کیا ہے ان سب میں صاحبان هتقویٰ کے لئے اس کی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in all that Allah hath created, in the heavens and the earth, are signs for those who fear Him.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! in the difference of day and night and all that Allah hath created in the heavens and the earth are portents, verily, for folk who ward off (evil).
[ SHAKIR ] Most surely in the variation of the night and the day, and what Allah has created in the heavens and the earth, there are signs for a people who guard (against evil).
- Sura: 13 - ar-Ra`ad (The Thunder) Ayat: 2
اللَّهُ الَّذِي رَفَعَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَىٰ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ يُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ بِلِقَاءِ رَبِّكُمْ تُوقِنُونَ (2
اللہ ہی وہ ہے جس نے آسمانوں کو بغیر کسی ستون کے بلند کردیا ہے جیسا کہ تم دیکھ رہے ہو اس کے بعد اس نے عر ش پر اقتدار قائم کیا اور آفتاب و ماہتاب کو لَسخر بنایا کہ سب ایک معینہ مدّت تک چلتے رہیں گے وہی تمام امور کی تدبیر کرنے والا ہے اور اپنی آ یات کو مفصل طور سے بیان کرتا ہے کہ شاید تم لوگ پروردگار کی ملاقات کا یقین پیدا کرلو
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; is firmly established on the throne (of authority); He has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law)! Each one runs (its course) for a term appointed. He doth regulate all affairs, explaining the signs in detail, that ye may believe with certainty in the meeting with your Lord.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah it is Who raised up the heavens without visible supports, then mounted the Throne, and compelled the sun and the moon to be of service, each runneth unto an appointed term; He ordereth the course; He detaileth the revelations, that haply ye may be certain of the meeting with your Lord.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you see, and He is firm in power and He made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each one pursues its course to an appointed time; He regulates the affair, making clear the signs that you may be certain of meeting your Lord.
- Sura: 14 - Ibrahim (Abraham) Ayat: 33
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ دَائِبَيْنِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ (33
اور تمہارے لئے حرکت کرنے والے آفتاب و ماہتاب کو بھی مسخر کردیا ہے اور تمہارے لئے رات اور دن کو بھی مسخر کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you.
[ PICKTHAL ] And maketh the sun and the moon, constant in their courses, to be of service unto you, and hath made of service unto you the night and the day.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient to you the sun and the moon pursuing their courses, and He has made subservient to you the night and the day.
- Sura: 16 - an-Nahl (The Bee) Ayat: 16
وَعَلَامَاتٍ ۚ وَبِالنَّجْمِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ (16
اور علامات معین کردیں اور لوگ ستاروں سے بھی راستے دریافت کرلیتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And marks and sign-posts; and by the stars (men) guide themselves.
[ PICKTHAL ] And landmarks (too), and by the star they find a way.
[ SHAKIR ] And landmarks; and by the stars they find the right way.
- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 33
وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (33
وہ وہی خدا ہے جس نے رات دن اور آفتاب و ماہتاب سب کو پید اکیا ہے اور سب اپنے اپنے فلک میں تیر رہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course.
[ PICKTHAL ] And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all (orbs) travel along swiftly in their celestial spheres.
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 86 to 88
قُلْ مَنْ رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ (86
پھر مزید کہئے کہ ساتوں آسمان اور عرش اعظم کامالک کون ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is the Lord of the seven heavens, and the Lord of the Throne (of Glory) Supreme?"
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is the Lord of the seven heavens and the Lord of the mighty dominion?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 86 to 88
سَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُلْ أَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ (87
تو یہ پھر کہیں گے کہ اللہ ہی ہے تو کہئے کہ آخر اس سے ڈرتے کیوں نہیں ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] They will say, "(They belong) to Allah." Say: "Will ye not then be filled with awe?"
[ PICKTHAL ] They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: Will ye not then keep duty (unto Him)?
[ SHAKIR ] They will say: (This is) Allah's. Say: Will you not then guard (against evil)?
- Sura: 23 - al-Mu'minoon (The Believers) From Ayat: 86 to 88
قُلْ مَنْ بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَهُوَ يُجِيرُ وَلَا يُجَارُ عَلَيْهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ (88
پھر کہئے کہ ہر شے کی حکومت کس کے اختیار میں ہے کہ وہی پناہ دیتا ہے اور اسی کے عذاب سے کوئی پناہ دینے والا نہیں ہے اگر تمہارا پاس کوئی بھی علم ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "Who is it in whose hands is the governance of all things,- who protects (all), but is not protected (of any)? (say) if ye know."
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Who is it in Whose hand is the kingdom of all things and Who gives succor, but against Him Succor is not given, if you do but know?
- Sura: 24 - an-Noor (The Light) Ayat: 35
۞ اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ ۚ نُورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ ۗ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (35
اللرُ آسمانوں اور زمین کا نور ہے .اس کے نور کی مثال اس طاق کی ہے جس میں چراغ ہو اور چراغ شیشہ کی قندیل میں ہو اور قندیل ایک جگمگاتے ستارے کے مانند ہو جو زیتون کے بابرکت درخت سے روشن کیا جائے جو نہ مشرق والا ہو نہ مغرب والا اور قریب ہے کہ اس کا روغن بھڑک اٹھے چاہے اسے آگ مس بھی نہ کرے یہ نور بالائے نور ہے اور اللہ اپنے نور کے لئے جسے چاہتا ہے ہدایت دے دیتا ہے اور اسی طرح مثالیں بیان کرتا ہے اور وہ ہر شے کا جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The similitude of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp. The lamp is in a glass. The glass is as it were a shining star. (This lamp is) kindled from a blessed tree, an olive neither of the East nor of the West, whose oil would almost glow forth (of itself) though no fire touched it. Light upon light. Allah guideth unto His light whom He will. And Allah speaketh to mankind in allegories, for Allah is Knower of all things.
[ SHAKIR ] Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth; a likeness of His light is as a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, (and) the glass is as it were a brightly shining star, lit from a blessed olive-tree, neither eastern nor western, the oil whereof almost gives light though fire touch it not-- light upon light-- Allah guides to His light whom He pleases, and Allah sets forth parables for men, and Allah is Cognizant of all things.
- Sura: 25 - al-Furqaan (The Criterion) Ayat: 61
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي السَّمَاءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنِيرًا (61
بابرکت ہے وہ ذات جس نے آسمان میں برج بنائے ہیں اور اس میں چراغ اور چمکتا ہوا چاند قرار دیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light;
[ PICKTHAL ] Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light!
[ SHAKIR ] Blessed is He Who made the constellations in the heavens and made therein a lamp and a shining moon.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ خَلْقُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَاخْتِلَافُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَانِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْعَالِمِينَ (22
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے آسمان و زمین کی خلقت اور تمہاری زبانوں اور تمہارے رنگوں کا اختلاف بھی ہے کہ اس میں صاحبانِ علم کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Lo! herein indeed are portents for men of knowledge.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your tongues and colors; most surely there are signs in this for the learned.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ مَنَامُكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَابْتِغَاؤُكُمْ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَسْمَعُونَ (23
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ تم رات اور دن کو آرام کرتے ہو اور پھر فضل خدا کو تلاش کرتے ہو کہ اس میں بھی سننے والی قوم کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is your slumber by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who heed.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is your sleeping and your seeking of His grace by night and (by) day; most surely there are signs in this for a people who would hear.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ يُرِيكُمُ الْبَرْقَ خَوْفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَيُحْيِي بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (24
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ وہ بجلی کو خوف اور امید کا مرکز بنا کر دکھلاتا ہے اور آسمان سے پانی برساتا ہے پھر اس کے ذریعہ مردہ زمین کو زندہ بناتا ہے بیشک اس میں بھی اس قوم کے لئے بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں جو عقل رکھنے والی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: He showeth you the lightning for a fear and for a hope, and sendeth down water from the sky, and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who understand.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that He shows you the lightning for fear and for hope, and sends down water from the clouds then gives life therewith to the earth after its death; most surely there are signs in this for a people who understand
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
وَمِنْ آيَاتِهِ أَنْ تَقُومَ السَّمَاءُ وَالْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِنَ الْأَرْضِ إِذَا أَنْتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ (25
اور اس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ بھی ہے کہ آسمان و زمین اسی کے حکم سے قائم ہیں اور اس کے بعد وہ جب تم سب کو طلب کرے گا تو سب زمین سے یکبارگی برآمد ہوجائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, ye (straightway) come forth.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of His signs is this: The heavens and the earth stand fast by His command, and afterward, when He calleth you, lo! from the earth ye will emerge.
[ SHAKIR ] And one of His signs is that the heaven and the earth subsist by His command, then when He calls you with a (single) call from out of the earth, lo! you come forth.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
وَلَهُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّ لَهُ قَانِتُونَ (26
آسمان و زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کی ملکیت ہے اور سب اسی کے تابع فرمان ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him.
[ PICKTHAL ] Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient unto Him.
[ SHAKIR ] And His is whosoever is in the heavens and the earth; all are obedient to Him.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ الْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَلَهُ الْمَثَلُ الْأَعْلَىٰ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ (27
اور وہی وہ ہے جو خلقت کی ابتداء کرتا ہے اور پھر دوبارہ بھی پیدا کرے گا اور یہ کام اس کے لئے بے حد آسان ہے اور اسی کے لئے آسمان اور زمین میں سب سے بہترین مثال ہے اور وہی سب پر غالب آنے والا اور صاحبِ حکمت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who produceth creation, then reproduceth it, and it is easier for Him. His is the Sublime Similitude in the heavens and the earth. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who originates the creation, then reproduces it, and it is easy to Him; and His are the most exalted attributes in the heavens and the earth, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
- Sura: 30 - ar-Room (The Romans) From Ayat: 22 to 28
ضَرَبَ لَكُمْ مَثَلًا مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَلْ لَكُمْ مِنْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ مِنْ شُرَكَاءَ فِي مَا رَزَقْنَاكُمْ فَأَنْتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَاءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنْفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْآيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ (28
اس نے تمہارے لئے تمہاری ہی مثال بیان کی ہے کہ جو رزق ہم نے تم کو عطا کیا ہے کیا اس میں تمہارے مملوک غلام و کنیز میں کوئی تمہارا شریک ہے کہ تم سب برابر ہوجاؤ اور تمہیں ان کا خوف اسی طرح ہو جس طرح اپنے نفوس کے بارے میں خوف ہوتا ہے ...._ بیشک ہم اپنی نشانیوں کو صاحب هعقل قوم کے لئے اسی طرح واضح کرکے بیان کرتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] He does propound to you a similitude from your own (experience): do ye have partners among those whom your right hands possess, to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you? Do ye fear them as ye fear each other? Thus do we explain the Signs in detail to a people that understand.
[ PICKTHAL ] He coineth for you a similitude of yourselves. Have ye, from among those whom your right hands possess, partners in the wealth We have bestowed upon you, equal with you in respect thereof, so that ye fear them as ye fear each other (that ye ascribe unto Us partners out of that which We created)? Thus We display the revelations for people who have sense.
[ SHAKIR ] He sets forth to you a parable relating to yourselves: Have you among those whom your right hands possess partners in what We have given you for sustenance, so that with respect to it you are alike; you fear them as you fear each other? Thus do We make the communications distinct for a people who understand.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) Ayat: 10
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا ۖ وَأَلْقَىٰ فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ ۚ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ (10
اسی نے آسمانوں کو بغیر ستون کے پیدا کیا ہے تم دیکھ رہے ہو اور زمین میں بڑے بڑے پہاڑ ڈال دیئے ہیں کہ تم کو لے کر جگہ سے ہٹنے نہ پائے اور ہر طرح کے جانور پھیلادیئے ہیں اور ہم نے آسمان سے پانی برسایا ہے اور اس کے ذریعہ زمین میں ہر قسم کا نفیس جوڑا پیدا کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs.
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created the heavens without supports that ye can see, and hath cast into the earth firm hills, so that it quake not with you; and He hath dispersed therein all kinds of beasts. And We send down water from the sky and We cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein.
[ SHAKIR ] He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and He spread in it animals of every kind; and We sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow therein (vegetation) of every noble kind.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) Ayat: 29
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَبِيرٌ (29
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ خدا ہی رات کو دن میں اور دن کو رات میں داخل کرتا ہے اور اس نے چاند اور سورج کو لَسخّر کردیا ہے کہ سب ایک معیّن مدّت تک چلتے رہیں گے اور اللہ تمہارے تمام اعمال سے باخبر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do?
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou not seen how Allah causeth the night to pass into the day and causeth the day to pass into the night, and hath subdued the sun and the moon (to do their work), each running unto an appointed term; and that Allah is Informed of what ye do?
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that Allah makes the night to enter into the day, and He makes the day to enter into the night, and He has made the sun and the moon subservient (to you); each pursues its course till an appointed time; and that Allah is Aware of what you do?
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) From Ayat: 29 to 32

- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) From Ayat: 29 to 32
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ وَأَنَّ مَا يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ الْبَاطِلُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْكَبِيرُ (30
یہ سب اسی لئے ہے کہ خدا معبود برحق ہے اور اس کے علاوہ جس کو بھی یہ لوگ پکارتے ہیں وہ سب باطل ہیں اور اللہ بلند و بالا اور بزرگ و برتر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] That is because Allah is the (only) Reality, and because whatever else they invoke besides Him is Falsehood; and because Allah,- He is the Most High, Most Great.
[ PICKTHAL ] That (is so) because Allah, He is the True, and that which they invoke beside Him is the False, and because Allah, He is the Sublime, the Great.
[ SHAKIR ] This is because Allah is the Truth, and that which they call upon besides Him is the falsehood, and that Allah is the High, the Great.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) From Ayat: 29 to 32
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ الْفُلْكَ تَجْرِي فِي الْبَحْرِ بِنِعْمَتِ اللَّهِ لِيُرِيَكُمْ مِنْ آيَاتِهِ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِكُلِّ صَبَّارٍ شَكُورٍ (31
کیا تم نے نہیں دیکھا کہ نعمت خدا ہی سے کشتیاں دریا میں چل رہی ہیں تاکہ وہ تمہیں اپنی نشانیاں دکھلائے کہ اس میں تمام صبر و شکر کرنے والوں کے لئے بڑی نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Seest thou not that the ships sail through the ocean by the Grace of Allah?- that He may show you of His Signs? Verily in this are Signs for all who constantly persevere and give thanks.
[ PICKTHAL ] Hast thou not seen how the ships glide on the sea by Allah's grace, that He may show you of His wonders? Lo! therein indeed are portents for every steadfast, grateful (heart).
[ SHAKIR ] Do you not see that the ships run on in the sea by Allah's favor that He may show you of His signs? Most surely there are signs in this for every patient endurer, grateful one.
- Sura: 31 - Luqman (Luqman) From Ayat: 29 to 32
وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُمْ مَوْجٌ كَالظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ الدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاهُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُمْ مُقْتَصِدٌ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِآيَاتِنَا إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍ كَفُورٍ (32
اور جب سائبانوں کی طرح کوئی موج انہیں ڈھانکنے لگتی ہے تو دین کے پورے اخلاص کے ساتھ خدا کو آواز دیتے ہیں اور جب وہ نجات دے کر خشکی تک پہنچا دیتا ہے تو اس میں سے کچھ ہی اعتدال پر رہ جاتے ہیں اور ہماری آیات کا انکار غدار اور ناشکرے افراد کے علاوہ کوئی نہیں کرتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] When a wave covers them like the canopy (of clouds), they call to Allah, offering Him sincere devotion. But when He has delivered them safely to land, there are among them those that halt between (right and wrong). But none reject Our Signs except only a perfidious ungrateful (wretch)!
[ PICKTHAL ] And if a wave enshroudeth them like awnings, they cry unto Allah, making their faith pure for Him only. But when He bringeth them safe to land, some of them compromise. None denieth Our signs save every traitor ingrate.
[ SHAKIR ] And when a wave like mountains covers them they call upon Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, but when He brings them safe to the land, some of them follow the middle course; and none denies Our signs but every perfidious, ungrateful one.
- Sura: 32 - as-Sajda (The Prostration) From Ayat: 8 to 9
ثُمَّ جَعَلَ نَسْلَهُ مِنْ سُلَالَةٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ (8
اس کے بعد اس کی نسل کو ایک ذلیل پانی سے قرار دیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And made his progeny from a quintessence of the nature of a fluid despised:
[ PICKTHAL ] Then He made his seed from a draught of despised fluid;
[ SHAKIR ] Then He made his progeny of an extract, of water held in light estimation.
- Sura: 32 - as-Sajda (The Prostration) From Ayat: 8 to 9
ثُمَّ سَوَّاهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِهِ ۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالْأَبْصَارَ وَالْأَفْئِدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَشْكُرُونَ (9
"اس کے بعد اسے برابر کرکے اس میں اپنی روح پھونک دی ہے اور تمہارے لئے کان, آنکھ اور دل بنادیئے ہیں مگر تم بہت کم شکریہ ادا کرتے ہو"
[YOUSAF ALI] But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give!
[ PICKTHAL ] Then He fashioned him and breathed into him of His Spirit; and appointed for you hearing and sight and hearts. Small thanks give ye!
[ SHAKIR ] Then He made him complete and breathed into him of His spirit, and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks.
- Sura: 35 - Faatir (The Originator) Ayat: 28
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ وَالدَّوَابِّ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مُخْتَلِفٌ أَلْوَانُهُ كَذَٰلِكَ ۗ إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزِيزٌ غَفُورٌ (28
اور انسانوں اور چوپایوں اور جانوروں میں بھی مختلف رنگ کی مخلوقات پائی جاتی ہیں لیکن اللہ سے ڈرنے والے اس کے بندوں میں صرف صاحبانِ معرفت ہیں بیشک اللہ صاحب هعزّت اور بہت بخشنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And so amongst men and crawling creatures and cattle, are they of various colours. Those truly fear Allah, among His Servants, who have knowledge: for Allah is Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.
[ PICKTHAL ] And of men and beasts and cattle, in like manner, divers hues? The erudite among His bondmen fear Allah alone. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Forgiving.
[ SHAKIR ] And of men and beasts and cattle are various species of it likewise; those of His servants only who are possessed of knowledge fear Allah; surely Allah is Mighty, Forgiving.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 33
وَآيَةٌ لَهُمُ الْأَرْضُ الْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَاهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ (33
اور ان کے لئے ہماری ایک نشانی یہ مردہ زمین بھی ہے جسے ہم نے زندہ کیا ہے اور اس میں دانے نکالے ہیں جن میں سے یہ لوگ کھارہے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] A Sign for them is the earth that is dead: We do give it life, and produce grain therefrom, of which ye do eat.
[ PICKTHAL ] A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof;
[ SHAKIR ] And a sign to them is the dead earth: We give life to it and bring forth from it grain SQ they eat of it.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 38
وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (38
اور آفتاب اپنے ایک مرکز پر دوڑ رہا ہے کہ یہ خدائے عزیز و علیم کی معین کی ہوئی حرکت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.
[ PICKTHAL ] And the sun runneth on unto a resting-place for him. That is the measuring of the Mighty, the Wise.
[ SHAKIR ] And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 38 to 40
وَالشَّمْسُ تَجْرِي لِمُسْتَقَرٍّ لَهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَلِيمِ (38
اور آفتاب اپنے ایک مرکز پر دوڑ رہا ہے کہ یہ خدائے عزیز و علیم کی معین کی ہوئی حرکت ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing.

- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 38 to 40
وَالْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَاهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَالْعُرْجُونِ الْقَدِيمِ (39
اور چاند کے لئے بھی ہم نے منزلیں معین کردی ہیں یہاں تک کہ وہ آخر میں پلٹ کر کھجور کی سوکھی ٹہنی جیسا ہوجاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk.
[ PICKTHAL ] And for the moon We have appointed mansions till she return like an old shrivelled palm-leaf.
[ SHAKIR ] And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) From Ayat: 38 to 40
لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (40
نہ آفتاب کے بس میں ہے کہ چاند کو پکڑ لے اور نہ رات کے لئے ممکن ہے کہ وہ دن سے آگے بڑھ جائے .... اور یہ سب کے سب اپنے اپنے فلک اور مدار میں تیرتے رہتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
[ PICKTHAL ] It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
[ SHAKIR ] Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere.
- Sura: 36 - Yaseen (Yaseen) Ayat: 40
لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغِي لَهَا أَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا اللَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّ فِي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ (40
نہ آفتاب کے بس میں ہے کہ چاند کو پکڑ لے اور نہ رات کے لئے ممکن ہے کہ وہ دن سے آگے بڑھ جائے .... اور یہ سب کے سب اپنے اپنے فلک اور مدار میں تیرتے رہتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law).
[ PICKTHAL ] It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit.
[ SHAKIR ] Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere.
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) Ayat: 6
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاءَ الدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ الْكَوَاكِبِ (6
بیشک ہم نے آسمان دنیا کو ستاروں سے مزین بنادیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] We have indeed decked the lower heaven with beauty (in) the stars,-
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets;
[ SHAKIR ] Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars,
- Sura: 37 - as-Saaffaat (Those drawn up in Ranks) Ayat: 10
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ الْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُ شِهَابٌ ثَاقِبٌ (10
علاوہ اس کے جو کوئی بات اچک لے تو اس کے پیچھے آگ کا شعلہ لگ جاتا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Except such as snatch away something by stealth, and they are pursued by a flaming fire, of piercing brightness.
[ PICKTHAL ] Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame.
[ SHAKIR ] Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame.
- Sura: 39 - az-Zumar (The Groups) Ayat: 5
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ ۖ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ ۖ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ ۖ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۗ أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ (5
اس نے آسمان و زمین کو حق کے ساتھ پیدا کیا ہے وہ رات کو دن پر لپیٹ دیتا ہے اور اس نے آفتاب اور ماہتاب کو تابع بنادیا ہے سب ایک مقرّرہ مدّت تک چلتے رہیں گے آگاہ ہوجاؤ وہ سب پر غالب اور بہت بخشنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again?
[ PICKTHAL ] He hath created the heavens and the earth with truth. He maketh night to succeed day, and He maketh day to succeed night, and He constraineth the sun and the moon to give service, each running on for an appointed term. Is not He the Mighty, the Forgiver?
[ SHAKIR ] He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth; He makes the night cover the day and makes the day overtake the night, and He has made the sun and the moon subservient; each one runs on to an assigned term; now surely He is the Mighty, the great Forgiver.
- Sura: 43 - az-Zukhruf (Ornaments of gold) Ayat: 38
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا جَاءَنَا قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكَ بُعْدَ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرِينُ (38
یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارے پاس آئیں گے تو کہیں گے کہ اے کاش ہمارے اور ان کے درمیان مشرق و مغرب کا فاصلہ ہوتا یہ تو بڑا بدترین ساتھی نکلا
[YOUSAF ALI] At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)!
[ PICKTHAL ] Till, when he cometh unto Us, he saith (unto his comrade): Ah, would that between me and thee there were the distance of the two horizons - an evil comrade!
[ SHAKIR ] Until when he comes to Us, he says: O would that between me and you there were the distance of the East and the West; so evil is the associate!
- Sura: 45 - al-Jaathiya (Crouching) Ayat: 13
وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمْ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ (13
اور اسی نے تمہارے لئے زمین و آسمان کی تمام چیزوں کو لَسّخر کردیا ہے بیشمَ اس میں غور و فکر کرنے والی قوم کے لئے نشانیاں پائی جاتی ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the heavens and on earth: Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect.
[ PICKTHAL ] And hath made of service unto you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; it is all from Him. Lo! herein verily are portents for a people who reflect.
[ SHAKIR ] And He has made subservient to you whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth, all, from Himself; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect.
- Sura: 49 - al-Hujraat (The Inner Apartments) Ayat: 16
قُلْ أَتُعَلِّمُونَ اللَّهَ بِدِينِكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ (16
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ کیا تم خدا کو اپنا دین سکھارہے ہو جب کہ وہ آسمان اور زمین کی ہر شے سے باخبر ہے اور وہ کائنات کی ہر چیز کا جاننے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "What! Will ye instruct Allah about your religion? But Allah knows all that is in the heavens and on earth: He has full knowledge of all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Would ye teach Allah your religion, when Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and Allah is Aware of all things?
[ SHAKIR ] Say: Do you apprise Allah of your religion, and Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; and Allah is Cognizant of all things.
- Sura: 50 - Qaaf (The letter 'qaaf') Ayat: 6
أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوجٍ (6
کیا ان لوگوں نے اپنے اوپر آسمان کی طرف نہیں دیکھا ہے کہ ہم نے اسے کس طرح بنایا ہے اور پھر آراستہ بھی کردیا ہے اور اس میں کہیں شگاف بھی نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Do they not look at the sky above them?- How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it?
[ PICKTHAL ] Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein?
[ SHAKIR ] Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps?
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 7
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ (7
اس نے آسمان کو بلند کیا ہے اور انصاف کی ترازو قائم کی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),
[ PICKTHAL ] And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure,
[ SHAKIR ] And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 7
وَالسَّمَاءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ الْمِيزَانَ (7
اس نے آسمان کو بلند کیا ہے اور انصاف کی ترازو قائم کی ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice),
[ PICKTHAL ] And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure,
[ SHAKIR ] And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 17
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ (17
وہ چاند اور سورج دونوں کے مشرق اور مغرب کا مالک ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:
[ PICKTHAL ] Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests!
[ SHAKIR ] Lord of the East and Lord of the West.
- Sura: 55 - ar-Rahman (The Beneficent) Ayat: 33
يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ تَنْفُذُوا مِنْ أَقْطَارِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَانْفُذُوا ۚ لَا تَنْفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَانٍ (33
اے گروہ جن و انس اگر تم میں قدرت ہو کہ آسمان و زمین کے اطرف سے باہر نکل جاؤ تو نکل جاؤ مگر یاد رکھو کہ تم قوت اور غلبہ کے بغیر نہیں نکل سکتے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] O ye assembly of Jinns and men! If it be ye can pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, pass ye! not without authority shall ye be able to pass!
[ PICKTHAL ] O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction.
[ SHAKIR ] O assembly of the jinn and the men! If you are able to pass through the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass through; you cannot pass through but with authority.
- Sura: 70 - al-Ma`aarij (The Ascending Stairways) Ayat: 40
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ إِنَّا لَقَادِرُونَ (40
میں تمام مشرق و مغرب کے پروردگار کی قسم کھا کر کہتا ہوں کہ ہم قدرت رکھنے والے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly-
[ PICKTHAL ] But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We verily are Able
[ SHAKIR ] But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 15 to 16
وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ (15
چاہے وہ کتنے ہی عذر کیوں نہ پیش کرے
[YOUSAF ALI] Even though he were to put up his excuses.
[ PICKTHAL ] Although he tender his excuses.
[ SHAKIR ] Though he puts forth his excuses.
- Sura: 75 - al-Qiyaama (The Resurrection) From Ayat: 15 to 16
لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ (16
دیکھئے آپ قرآن کی تلاوت میں عجلت کے ساتھ زبان کو حرکت نہ دیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith.
[ PICKTHAL ] Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it.
[ SHAKIR ] Do not move your tongue with it to make haste with it,
- Sura: 79 - an-Naazi`aat (Those who drag forth) Ayat: 28
رَفَعَ سَمْكَهَا فَسَوَّاهَا (28
اس کی چھت کو بلند کیا اور پھر برابر کردیا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection.
[ PICKTHAL ] He raised the height thereof and ordered it;
[ SHAKIR ] He raised high its height, then put it into a right good state.
- Sura: 82 - al-Infitaar (The Cleaving) From Ayat: 1 to 2
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ (1
جب آسمان شگافتہ ہوجائے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] When the Sky is cleft asunder;
[ PICKTHAL ] When the heaven is cleft asunder,
[ SHAKIR ] When the heaven becomes cleft asunder,
- Sura: 82 - al-Infitaar (The Cleaving) From Ayat: 1 to 2
وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ (2
اور جب ستارے بکھر جائیں گے
[YOUSAF ALI] When the Stars are scattered;
[ PICKTHAL ] When the planets are dispersed,
[ SHAKIR ] And when the stars become dispersed,
- Sura: 89 - al-Fajr (The Dawn) From Ayat: 1 to 3
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالْفَجْرِ (1
قسم ہے فجر کی
[YOUSAF ALI] By the break of Day
[ PICKTHAL ] By the Dawn
[ SHAKIR ] I swear by the daybreak,
- Sura: 89 - al-Fajr (The Dawn) From Ayat: 1 to 3
وَلَيَالٍ عَشْرٍ (2
اور دس راتوں کی
[YOUSAF ALI] By the Nights twice five;
[ PICKTHAL ] And ten nights,
[ SHAKIR ] And the ten nights,
- Sura: 89 - al-Fajr (The Dawn) From Ayat: 1 to 3
وَالشَّفْعِ وَالْوَتْرِ (3
اور جفت و طاق کی
[YOUSAF ALI] By the even and odd (contrasted);
[ PICKTHAL ] And the Even and the Odd,
[ SHAKIR ] And the even and the odd,
