Sura: 28 - al-Qasas (The Stories) Ayat: 63 قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا ۖ تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ ۖ مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ (63
تو جن شرکائ پر عذاب ثابت ہوچکا ہوگا وہ کہیں گے کہ پروردگار یہ ہیں وہ لوگ جن کو ہم نے گمراہ کیا ہے اور اسی طرح گمراہ کیا ہے جس طرح ہم خود گمراہ ہوئے تھے لیکن اب ان سے برائت چاہتے ہیں یہ ہماری عبادت تو نہیں کررہے تھے
[YOUSAF ALI] Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: "Our Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped."
[ PICKTHAL ] Those concerning whom the Word will have come true will say: Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray even as we ourselves were astray. We declare our innocence before Thee: us they never worshipped.
[ SHAKIR ] Those against whom the sentence has become confirmed will say: Our Lord! these are they whom we caused to err; we caused them to err as we ourselves did err; to Thee we declare ourselves to be clear (of them); they never served Us.
