Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) Ayat: 60 وَهُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا جَرَحْتُمْ بِالنَّهَارِ ثُمَّ يَبْعَثُكُمْ فِيهِ لِيُقْضَىٰ أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ (60
اور وہی خدا ہے جو تمہیں رات میں گویا کہ ایک طرح کی موت دے دیتا ہے اور دن میں تمہارے تمام اعمال سے باخبر ہے اور پھر دن میں تمہیں اُٹھادیتا ہے تاکہ مقررہ مدت حیات پوری کی جاسکے -اس کے بعد تم سب کی باز گشت اسی کی بارگاہ میں ہے اور پھر وہ تمہیں تمہارے اعمال کے بارے میں باخبر کرے گا
[YOUSAF ALI] It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.
[ PICKTHAL ] He it is Who gathereth you at night and knoweth that which ye commit by day. Then He raiseth you again to life therein, that the term appointed (for you) may be accomplished. And afterward unto Him is your return. Then He will proclaim unto you what ye used to do.
[ SHAKIR ] And He it is Who takes your souls at night (in sleep), and He knows what you acquire in the day, then He raises you up therein that an appointed term may be fulfilled; then to Him is your return, then He will inform you of what you were doing.
[ REMARKS : Sleep is like a type of death. ]
