- Sura: 6 - al-An`aam (The Cattle) From Ayat: 116 to 117
وَإِنْ تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ (116
اور اگر آپ روئے زمین کی اکثریت کا اتباع کرلیں گے تو یہ راسِ خدا سے بہکادیں گے.یہ صرف گمان کا اتباع کرتے ہیں اور صرف اندازوں سے کام لیتے ہیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Wert thou to follow the common run of those on earth, they will lead thee away from the way of Allah. They follow nothing but conjecture: they do nothing but lie.
[ PICKTHAL ] If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allah's way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.
[ SHAKIR ] And if you obey most of those in the earth, they will lead you astray from Allah's way; they follow but conjecture and they only lie.
[ REMARKS : Do not follow the majority. They will lead you astray. They only follow their own desires. ]

آپ کے پروردگار کو خوب معلوم ہے کہ کون اس کے راستے سے بہکنےوالا ہے. اور کون ہدایت حاصل کرنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Thy Lord knoweth best who strayeth from His way: He knoweth best who they are that receive His guidance.
[ PICKTHAL ] Lo! thy Lord, He knoweth best who erreth from His way; and He knoweth best (who are) the rightly guided.
[ SHAKIR ] Surely your Lord-- He best knows who goes astray from His way, and He best knows those who follow the right course.
[ REMARKS : Do not follow the majority. They will lead you astray. They only follow their own desires. ]

- Sura: 12 - Yusuf (Joseph) Ayat: 103
وَمَا أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (103
اور آپ کسی قدر کیوں نہ چاہیں انسانوں کی اکثریت ایمان لانے والی نہیں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Yet no faith will the greater part of mankind have, however ardently thou dost desire it.
[ PICKTHAL ] And though thou try much, most men will not believe.
[ SHAKIR ] And most men will not believe though you desire it eagerly.
[ REMARKS : Majority will never follow truth ]
