- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) From Ayat: 180 to 182

تمہارے اوپر یہ بھی لکھ دیا ہے کہ جب تم میں سے کسی کی موت سامنے آجائے تو اگر کوئی مال چھوڑا ہے تو اپنے ماں باپ اور قرابتداروں کے لئے وصیت کردے. یہ صاحبانِ تقویٰ پر ایک طرح کا حق ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] It is prescribed, when death approaches any of you, if he leave any goods that he make a bequest to parents and next of kin, according to reasonable usage; this is due from the Allah-fearing.
[ PICKTHAL ] It is prescribed for you, when death approacheth one of you, if he leave wealth, that he bequeath unto parents and near relatives in kindness. (This is) a duty for all those who ward off (evil).
[ SHAKIR ] Bequest is prescribed for you when death approaches one of you, if he leaves behind wealth for parents and near relatives, according to usage, a duty (incumbent) upon those who guard (against evil).
[ REMARKS : Everyone should make a will about whatever they leave behind. ]

فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَمَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ (181
اس کے بعد وصیت کو سن کر جو شخص تبدیل کردے گا اس کا گناہ تبدیل کرنے والے پر ہوگا تم پر نہیں. خدا سب کا سننے والا اور سب کے حالات سے باخبر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] If anyone changes the bequest after hearing it, the guilt shall be on those who make the change. For Allah hears and knows (All things).
[ PICKTHAL ] And whoso changeth (the will) after he hath heard it - the sin thereof is only upon those who change it. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower.
[ SHAKIR ] Whoever then alters it after he has heard it, the sin of it then is only upon those who alter it; surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing.
[ REMARKS : Everyone should make a will about whatever they leave behind. ]

پھر اگر کوئی شخص وصیت کرنے والے کی طرف سے طرفداری یا ناانصافی کا خوف رکھتا ہو اور وہ ورثاء میں صلح کرا دے تو اس پر کوئی گناہ نہیں ہے. اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] But if anyone fears partiality or wrong-doing on the part of the testator, and makes peace between (The parties concerned), there is no wrong in him: For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful.
[ PICKTHAL ] But he who feareth from a testator some unjust or sinful clause, and maketh peace between the parties, (it shall be) no sin for him. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
[ SHAKIR ] But he who fears an inclination to a wrong course or an act of disobedience on the part of the testator, and effects an agreement between the parties, there is no blame on him. Surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
[ REMARKS : Everyone should make a will about whatever they leave behind. ]

اور ان کے پیغمبر علیہ السّلام نے یہ بھی کہا کہ ان کی حکومت کی نشانی یہ ہے یہ تمہارے پاس وہ تابوت لے آئیں گے جس میں پروردگار کی طرف سے سامانِ سکون اور آلِ موسیٰ علیہ السّلام اور آلِ ہارون علیہ السّلام کا چھوڑا ہوا ترکہ بھی ہے۔ اس تابوت کو ملائکہ اٹھائے ہوئے ہوں گے اور اس میں تمہارے لئے قدرتِ پروردگار کی نشانی بھی ہے اگر تم صاحبِ ایمان ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] And (further) their Prophet said to them: "A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith."
[ PICKTHAL ] And their Prophet said unto them: Lo! the token of his kingdom is that there shall come unto you the ark wherein is peace of reassurance from your Lord, and a remnant of that which the house of Moses and the house of Aaron left behind, the angels bearing it. Lo! herein shall be a token for you if (in truth) ye are believers.
[ SHAKIR ] And the prophet said to them: Surely the sign of His kingdom is, that there shall come to you the chest in which there is tranquillity from your Lord and residue of the relics of what the children of Musa and the children of Haroun have left, the angels bearing it; most surely there is a sign in this for those who believe.
[ REMARKS : Wirasat of Hazrat Moosa(a.s.) and Hazrat Haroon(a.s.) in a coffin (taboot) which will be held by angels ]

نتیجہ یہ ہوا کہ ان لوگوں نے جالوت کے لشکر کو خدا کے حکم سے شکست دے دی اور داؤد علیہ السّلام نے جالوت کو قتل کردیا اور اللہ نے انہیں ملک اور حکمت عطا کر دی اور اپنے علم سے جس قدر چاہا دے دیا اور اگر اسی طرح خدا بعض کو بعض سے نہ روکتا رہتا تو ساری زمین میں فساد پھیل جاتا لیکن خدا عالمین پر بڑا فضل کرنے والا ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] By Allah's will they routed them; and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him power and wisdom and taught him whatever (else) He willed. And did not Allah Check one set of people by means of another, the earth would indeed be full of mischief: But Allah is full of bounty to all the worlds.
[ PICKTHAL ] So they routed them by Allah's leave and David slew Goliath; and Allah gave him the kingdom and wisdom, and taught him of that which He willeth. And if Allah had not repelled some men by others the earth would have been corrupted. But Allah is a Lord of Kindness to (His) creatures.
[ SHAKIR ] So they put them to flight by Allah's permission. And Dawood slew Jalut, and Allah gave him kingdom and wisdom, and taught him of what He pleased. And were it not for Allah's repelling some men with others, the earth would certainly be in a state of disorder; but Allah is Gracious to the creatures.
[ REMARKS : Dawood(a.s.) became inheritor of Taloot and Allah(a.s.) gave him knowledge and wisdom ]

- Sura: 4 - an-Nisaa' (The Women) Ayat: 33
وَلِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مَوَالِيَ مِمَّا تَرَكَ الْوَالِدَانِ وَالْأَقْرَبُونَ ۚ وَالَّذِينَ عَقَدَتْ أَيْمَانُكُمْ فَآتُوهُمْ نَصِيبَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ شَهِيدًا (33
اور جو کچھ ماں باپ یا اقربا نے چھوڑا ہے ہم نے سب کے لئے ولی و وارث مقرر کردئیے ہیں اور جن سے تم نے عہد و پیمان کیا ہے ان کا حصہ ّبھی انہیں دے دو بیشک اللہ ہر شے پر گواہ اور نگراں ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] To (benefit) every one, We have appointed shares and heirs to property left by parents and relatives. To those, also, to whom your right hand was pledged, give their due portion. For truly Allah is witness to all things.
[ PICKTHAL ] And unto each We have appointed heirs of that which parents and near kindred leave; and as for those with whom your right hands have made a covenant, give them their due. Lo! Allah is ever Witness over all things.
[ SHAKIR ] And to every one We have appointed heirs of what parents and near relatives leave; and as to those with whom your rights hands have ratified agreements, give them their portion; surely Allah is a witness over all things.
[ REMARKS : Children are inheritors of parents. Prophets(as) and their children are no exception so their share in inheritance should have been paid. ]

موسٰی علیہ السّلام نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ اللہ سے مدد مانگو اور صبر کرو- زمین اللہ کی ہے وہ اپنے بندوں میں جس کو چاہتا ہے وارث بناتا ہے اور انجام کار بہرحال صاحبانِ تقوٰی کے لئے ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Said Moses to his people: "Pray for help from Allah, and (wait) in patience and constancy: for the earth is Allah's, to give as a heritage to such of His servants as He pleaseth; and the end is (best) for the righteous.
[ PICKTHAL ] And Moses said unto his people: Seek help in Allah and endure. Lo! the earth is Allah's. He giveth it for an inheritance to whom He will. And lo! the sequel is for those who keep their duty (unto Him).
[ SHAKIR ] Musa said to his people: Ask help from Allah and be patient; surely the land is Allah's; He causes such of His servants to inherit it as He pleases, and the end is for those who guard (against evil).
[ REMARKS : Allah(swt) makes inheritors of Earth. ]

- Sura: 21 - al-Anbiyaa (The Prophets) Ayat: 89

اور زکریا علیہ السّلام کو یاد کرو کہ جب انہوں نے اپنے رب کو پکارا کہ پروردگار مجھے اکیلا نہ چھوڑ دینا کہ تو تمام وارثوں سے بہتر وارث ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And (remember) Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though thou art the best of inheritors."
[ PICKTHAL ] And Zachariah, when he cried unto his Lord: My Lord! Leave me not childless, though Thou art the Best of inheritors.
[ SHAKIR ] And Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: O my Lord leave me not alone; and Thou art the best of inheritors.
[ REMARKS : Hazrat Zakariya(a.s.) asks for a successor who would inherit from him ]

- Sura: 27 - an-Naml (The Ant) Ayat: 16
وَوَرِثَ سُلَيْمَانُ دَاوُودَ ۖ وَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ عُلِّمْنَا مَنْطِقَ الطَّيْرِ وَأُوتِينَا مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ الْفَضْلُ الْمُبِينُ (16
اور پھر سلیمان داؤد کے وارث ہوئے اور انہوں نے کہا کہ لوگو مجھے پرندوں کی باتوں کا علم دیا گیا ہے اور ہر فضیلت کا ایک حصہ عطا کیا گیا ہے اور یہ خدا کا کھلا ہوا فضل و کرم ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)"
[ PICKTHAL ] And Solomon was David's heir. And he said: O mankind! Lo! we have been taught the language of birds, and have been given (abundance) of all things. This surely is evident favour.
[ SHAKIR ] And Sulaiman was Dawood's heir, and he said: O men! we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given all things; most surely this is manifest grace.
[ REMARKS : Salman(a.s.) became the heir of Dawood(a.s.) and were taught the language of birds and little of all Ilm. ]
