- Sura: 2 - al-Baqara (The Cow) Ayat: 23
وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِنْ مِثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (23
اگر تمہیں اس کلام کے بارے میں کوئی شک ہے جسے ہم نے اپنے بندے پر نازل کیا ہے تو اس کا جیسا ایک ہی سورہ لے آؤ اور اللہ کے علاوہ جتنے تمہارے مددگار ہیں سب کو بُلا لو اگر تم اپنے دعوے اور خیال میں سچّے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] And if ye are in doubt as to what We have revealed from time to time to Our servant, then produce a Sura like thereunto; and call your witnesses or helpers (If there are any) besides Allah, if your (doubts) are true.
[ PICKTHAL ] And if ye are in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto Our slave (Muhammad), then produce a surah of the like thereof, and call your witness beside Allah if ye are truthful.
[ SHAKIR ] And if you are in doubt as to that which We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a chapter like it and call on your witnesses besides Allah if you are truthful.
[ REMARKS : Allah(swt) challenges to bring a similar Quran if people believe it is not from Him(swt) - even with the help of all their helpers. Anything from Allah(swt) is unmatched. ]

- Sura: 10 - Yunus (Jonas) Ayat: 38
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (38
کیا یہ لوگ یہ کہتے ہیں کہ اسے پیغمبر نے گڑھ لیا ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ تم اس کے جیسا ایک ہی سورہ لے آؤ اور خدا کے علاوہ جسے چاہو اپنی مدد کے لئے بلالو اگر تم اپنے الزام میں سچے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Or do they say, "He forged it"? say: "Bring then a Sura like unto it, and call (to your aid) anyone you can besides Allah, if it be ye speak the truth!"
[ PICKTHAL ] Or say they: He hath invented it? Say: Then bring a surah like unto it, and call (for help) on all ye can besides Allah, if ye are truthful.
[ SHAKIR ] Or do they say: He has forged it? Say: Then bring a chapter like this and invite whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.
[ REMARKS : Challenge to bring one Sura like the suras of Quran. ]

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ افْتَرَاهُ ۖ قُلْ فَأْتُوا بِعَشْرِ سُوَرٍ مِثْلِهِ مُفْتَرَيَاتٍ وَادْعُوا مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِقِينَ (13
کیا یہ لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ یہ قرآن بندے نے گڑھ لیا ہے تو کہہ دیجئے کہ اس کے جیسے دس سورہ گڑھ کر تم بھی لے آؤ اور اللہ کے علاوہ جس کو چاہو اپنی مدد کے لئے بلالو اگر تم اپنی بات میں سچے ہو
[YOUSAF ALI] Or they may say, "He forged it," Say, "Bring ye then ten suras forged, like unto it, and call (to your aid) whomsoever ye can, other than Allah!- If ye speak the truth!
[ PICKTHAL ] Or they say: He hath invented it. Say: Then bring ten surahs, the like thereof, invented, and call on everyone ye can beside Allah, if ye are truthful!
[ SHAKIR ] Or, do they say: He has forged it. Say: Then bring ten forged chapters like it and call upon whom you can besides Allah, if you are truthful.
[ REMARKS : Challenge reduced to 10 suras similar to Quran ]

- Sura: 17 - al-Israa' (The Night Journey) Ayat: 88
قُلْ لَئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَأْتُوا بِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا (88
آپ کہہ دیجئے کہ اگر انسان اور جنات سب اس بات پر متفق ہوجائیں کہ اس قرآن کا مثل لے آئیں تو بھی نہیں لاسکتے چاہے سب ایک دوسرے کے مددگار اور پشت پناہ ہی کیوں نہ ہوجائیں
[YOUSAF ALI] Say: "If the whole of mankind and Jinns were to gather together to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof, even if they backed up each other with help and support.
[ PICKTHAL ] Say: Verily, though mankind and the jinn should assemble to produce the like of this Qur'an, they could not produce the like thereof though they were helpers one of another.
[ SHAKIR ] Say: If men and jinn should combine together to bring the like of this Quran, they could not bring the like of it, though some of them were aiders of others.
[ REMARKS : Humans and Jinns even combined can not make a similar Quran even if they become helpers of each other ]
