Sura: 24 - an-Noor (The Light) Ayat: 30 (30
اور پیغمبرؐ آپ مومنین سے کہہ دیجئے کہ اپنی نگاہوں کو نیچی رکھیں اور اپنی شرمگاہوں کی حفاظت کریں کہ یہی زیادہ پاکیزہ بات ہے اور بیشک اللہ ان کے کاروبار سے خوب باخبر ہے
[YOUSAF ALI] Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.
[ PICKTHAL ] Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is aware of what they do.
[ SHAKIR ] Say to the believing men that they cast down their looks and guard their private parts; that is purer for them; surely Allah is Aware of what they do.
[ REMARKS : Hijab is for men as well. Keeping their gaze down ]

Sura: 33 - al-Ahzaab (The Clans) Ayat: 59 يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلَابِيبِهِنَّ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ أَدْنَىٰ أَنْ يُعْرَفْنَ فَلَا يُؤْذَيْنَ ۗ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا (59
"اے پیغمبر آپ اپنی بیویوں, بیٹیوں, اور مومنین کی عورتوں سے کہہ دیجئے کہ اپنی چادر کو اپنے اوپر لٹکائے رہا کریں کہ یہ طریقہ ان کی شناخت یا شرافت سے قریب تر ہے اور اس طرح ان کو اذیت نہ دی جائے گی اور خدا بہت بخشنے والا اور مہربان ہے"
[YOUSAF ALI] O Prophet! Tell thy wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons (when abroad): that is most convenient, that they should be known (as such) and not molested. And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
[ PICKTHAL ] O Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go abroad). That will be better, so that they may be recognised and not annoyed. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
[ SHAKIR ] O Prophet! say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
