Abstinence from Idolatry

1. Sura: 14 - Ibrahim (Abraham) Ayat: 35

   اور اس وقت کو یاد کرو جب ابراہیم علیہ السّلام نے کہا کہ پروردگار اس شہر کو محفوظ بنا دے اور مجھے اور میری اولاد کو بت پرستی سے بچائے رکھنا

   [YOUSAF ALI] Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols.

   [ PICKTHAL ] And when Abraham said: My Lord! Make safe this territory, and preserve me and my sons from serving idols.

   [ SHAKIR ] And when Ibrahim said: My Lord! make this city secure, and save me and my sons from worshipping idols:

   [ REMARKS : Prophet Ibrahim(a.s.) and his progeny are asking for abstinence from idolatry ]
